Great facility for baseball and softball. Played a few seasons of Coed softball there. Enjoy visiting on the weekends when they have baseball and softball tournaments with youth and adults. Compared to most little league fields, this is definitely a more comfortable experience. All fields have seating right along the fence. The different fields are easy to navigate with the signs and they are all very close to one another. Parking can be limited on a busy day so I'd recommend carpooling if possible. The food and bar area were clean and you could view many of the fields from inside along the large windows. Although there is a fee to enter, since you don't have to bring your own chair and the seating is more comfortable for a long day watching games, I find it worth the fee. read more

I've been coming here for a few years. I think they charge too much $5 for adults and $1 per players to enter and are given a token to use at the restaurant they have. You are not allowed to bring any food, drinks or coolers so if you're going to be at the park for 5 hours you must buy from them. The restaurant is expensive and they do sell beer. The restaurant also has tv's all around with games showing. The fields are good, they somewhat resemble major league parks and have stadium type seats. It's OK just don't like spending so much money here when I could bring a cooler with me like I can at other ballparks. They have plenty of parking too. read more

The Big League Dreams Complex in Gilbert is a higher quality venue for youth baseball in Phoenix Area in my opinion. The fields are well cared for the replica stadiums are unique and memorable and I really feel like the complex is tailored to the enjoyment and viewing for fans. Seating is shaded and very close to the fields. The inside facilities are well equipped with anything you would need for a full day or multiple day event. Two things I do not like are First, the infields are dirt and make the overall look of the fields less attractive. Dirt fields make the game faster and better for the developing youth that play here but overall I would choose grass if cost was nominal. Second, serving alcohol on site is a huge negative for me. Fans/Family are more belligerent and bad mannered than normal and makes the environment less kid and family friendly. Fields aren't maintained; huge divots & holes in the outfields, batter's box (for most fields) feel like you're standing in a half pipe, umpires (except 1-2) are borderline illiterate, don't keep accurate counts, miss calls, but worst of all, are partial to certain teams. Now the scoreboards aren't working. Not sure this place could sink to any new levels of garbage. I've played here for a long time and seen league participation plummet season by season. The food and staff - Well, if you like paying $22 for a pizza that you could buy for $5.99 at any grocery store or pay for a pitcher of beer for $14, you found your perfect restaurant. The staff behind the counters (teenagers) smear their faces into their phones while lines pile up. Everything is microwaved. Bartenders are the only bright spot in this place. read more

The young Kids working the consession were too busy on their phones then trying to help the customers. Kids love the park, but as a baseball parent, I find their policies terrible. Entrance fee is cash only, which it says nowhere on their website that I could find. This place is stupid expensive. How is it possible that you pay $90 to play in a softball tournament and on top of that they expect you to pay $3 to get in every time you have to play. My son played here for the first time for a tournament in mid September. The only positive feedback I have to give is the replica fields are a cute idea for young baseball players. Other than that, I was NOT impressed with Big League Dreams. When we first arrived there were two men who checked my son's baseball bags & my purse. I'm not sure what the purpose of this was, but it made me feel uncomfortable. We walked through the entrance gates where an employee stopped us & said we weren't allowed to have our Dutch Bros drinks. Another employee in a box office type window said we could pour our drinks into one of their cups, which was ridiculous. I didn't know we had to pay & neither of these employees informed me if this nor did they ask for payment. I found out about their entry fees when a family member joined us shortly later. My son was playing with a club team which has it's monthly dues of $175 per month. & this place wants to charge the players an entry fee & the families who come to watch them?!? The entire game there were swarms of flies flying all over us. It was disgusting. The bathrooms were unkept & dirty. There wasn't any soap or paper towels. There was gum spit out on the ground all over the facility & of course I just happened to step in some. & people had dogs running around with them. We have 2 dogs ourselves, but this certainly isn't the place for them to be. So let me get this straight... you can't bring any food or drinks of your own, but you can bring a damn dog?!? It makes absolutely no sense. I wasn't impressed with Big League Dreams & wouldn't want my son playing in tournaments here in the future. read more

The place is great, but the people working there are AWFUL. I was treated so poorly for bringing water to the place. The girl there literally yelled at me and was a total jerk about it. She even followed me after I ditched the water and yelled at me as I was leaving. They charge WAY too much for anything there, especially to be treated so poorly. Great facility! Awesome fields! Horrible staff and policies. I know this place was a huge waste of money to the city but if charging people 3 annoying dollars at the door has got to change. You pay a player and team fee then you have to pay $3 every time you enter the complex, playing or not. So it costs an additional 12 for my wife and 2 kids to come to my 40 minute soccer game. As if it were to make it all better... they give you a dollar token that you can only use there and will probably end up loosing half of by the time you accumulate enough to buy a $6 drink. The people they have running this place are true gems. The city of Gilbert must be pushing for low salaries to get their return because the staff is horrible. Mike- the guy that helps run the soccer field, has to be one of the biggest tools I have ever met. He is the one that knows nothing about soccer or management, AT ALL. The cherry on top has to be the referees. If you have every played or watched here you can agree. They hire the most inexperienced and incompetent referees. There are only two that I wouldn't fire and the rest almost make it not worth playing. Every game seems like it ends in a fight and the games quickly spiral out of control due to them not being capable of controlling the tempo of the game. I can't tell you how many times they have called the game early due to this. For people that play... you understand these are huge factors. read more

I have played softball all over Phoenix, a few places in Vegas, and in Pittsburgh. I play league here quite often and don't really enjoy playing here that much. First off, I know this is corporate mandated, but to pay the amount of money for league is insane unless you have a sponsor. For the price (slightly higher) than every city league, you only get one game a night, instead of 2. You have to sign up for two league which ends up costing over 1000 for an 8 week season. After you pay that for league, you then have to pay $3 dollars to get in every time even if you are playing. ($3 is softball prices, I don't know about soccer or baseball). The rules are also pretty ridiculous. You can lead off and you can't hit the ball anywhere near the pitcher without it being an automatic out. Home runs are fairly reasonable especially if you play in the higher divisions. I will say that they definitely try to keep the divisions fair. Continuing with the price theme, food and drinks are pretty expensive. It isn't insanely high, but eating here definitely isn't worth the money. I usually go with a pretzel which is reasonable, or the two slices of pizza and drink combo. Field conditions: The conditions tend to go up and down, mostly relating to how much little league is being played. The spikes/cleats from the baseball players really cut up the all dirt infields. There tends to be some humps or hills in certain spots. The outfields seem to be alright, I never really play the outfield so I can't really comment. I played at the BLD in Vegas and fell in love with those fields. I wish our BLD was built like theirs was. (Although it was for a huge tournament so they probably had them well prepped going into the weekend) Staff: This is one of the high points of this place. All of the staff are usually in great moods and are super friendly. The bartenders are great and friends with a lot of the regular players out there. I will say that I do enjoy playing USSSA tournaments at BLD Gilbert. Paying the $3 dollars to get in for the day isn't an issue for me like it is for league. Having the air conditioned buildings are nice to cool off when you are waiting in between games. Overall, the facility is nice. The fields are definitely cool to play on if you never played here before. The replica fields are fun. They just need to focus on doing a better job with the condition of the fields. I would recommend you playing here if you haven't, especially for tournaments. But if you are not trying to spend a lot of money on league softball, this IS NOT the place for you. read more

Fields are super nice. I've played a few slow pitch seasons here. Unfortunately, everything says they close at 10. But, they sometimes close the batting cages as early as 9. Wasted my fuel to hit a few and then find out they were closing. It wouldn't be an issue except they don't have that info on their site. Save your gas! read more

Be consistent with your rules. I followed the rules day #1 and didn't bring a cooler or snacks. Everyone else had one. I asked the older lady with short hair at the front and she said they don't want pizzas or anything like that brought in but coolers with waters and snacks are fine. Day #2 I brought in snacks in a cooler bag and the young man at the front made me bring it back. My 15 year old was holding it so he felt tough asking him yet didn't ask all the other adults coming in after us. Ridiculous that even after I asked a staff member yesterday, he made me bring back goldfish crackers and slim Jim's. Beautiful fields! Great seating and they serve beer so that is a plus. I think it is just crappy that kids are playing there for 2 days and we can't bring in our own food or drinks. The food they have there is soooo expensive for crappy quality and also it is all bad food. NO healthy options for my kids. They had a fruit cup on the menu and when I orders it they said oh sorry we are not currently sticking fruit. So be prepared. Big League Dreams is a awesome concept. Clearly people pay to play here as its baseball, softball and soccer dream palace. But since the ownership group and staff know they have a niche they will take advantage of it anyway they see fit. The entry to watch is CASH ONLY which is totally absurd based on the corporate establishment. They are happy to take your id if you don't have cash to go inside to use their ATM to pull cash and then come back to pay cash entry. Just so you know they do accept credit cards inside and they get a portion of the ATM fee too!! Today is $5.00 cash to watch/play softball per person and $3.00 for soccer players/spectators. If your too early for soccer they will charge you for softball no forgiveness. Then they charge steep team and player fees on top of everything. Now I'm not doggin them out to make money but what are they doing with it? Parking lot landscape is horrific and dangerous. Inside grounds are terrible looking. Staff semi friendly but not very helpful as they want to be nazi's about everything. Fields need to be cleaned up inside and out. Replace some turf inside and out. Clean the glass every month inside and out. Overall could be worth every penny if you felt valued and see overall excellence when you drop big coin. read more
