We love this premier sports complex. My son has had a few tournaments here and it's definitely our favorite. The kids feel like they are playing like they are in the big leagues! There is a $5 gate fee for anyone over the age of 16. They have 8 fields which have been built as replicas of famous ballparks and the field offers stadium style seating. Sliders sports grill is located on the north and south side of the complex. You can watch your childs game from inside of the restaurant from the windows, which is pretty awesome. You don't have to miss your child's game if you're grabbing a bite to eat or needing to go inside to cool off. Bring some cash for their gaming machines inside of the restaurant. The bar only offers seltzers and beer. Their Ben's soft pretzels are the best! If you like white queso, get a side of this for your pretzel, yum! We have enjoyed all of their food, so far nothing was bad. If your child needs some batting practice, check out their batting cages near the main entrance of the park. They have a playground located next to the south restaurant. This is a plus for children who are not in a tournament to entertain themselves. I do wish there was a playground next to the north restaurant. My son usually plays on north side so my 5 year old can't go over to the playground unless someone is willing to supervise. The complex also offers your indoor sports programs year around. They offer indoor soccer league play, soccer skills training, lacrosse, preschool classes and yoga. 04/11/2026 I had never been to this ballpark before. It really sets the standard for me. It has large fields with fun backdrops, an indoor restaurant with seats by the window so you can enjoy the game with air conditioning on those hot AZ days, and indoor bathrooms! They also serve beer, including a couple of craft beers on draft. That was exciting to me because I've never been able to drink a beer while watching a girls' softball tournament. I got a hazy IPA from Four Peaks, along with chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was good. Fries were lightly battered, which is not my preference, but they were still pretty good. Finished my food inside, but went back out to the stadium seats because you can't hear the game from inside, so it wasn't as exciting to watch. Notes: -For any tournaments hosted by outside organizations (not the town of Gilbert), there is a $5 fee at the gate for non-Gilbert residents age 16 and over. Cactus Yards is a great tournament facility. My son has played in several baseball tournaments here, and my daughter in softball tournaments here as well. The facility itself is excellent and always very clean. One of the coolest features is that each field is modeled after a different MLB stadium. The sunken-in dugouts are especially fun for the kids and really make them feel like they're playing on a professional field. They have two concession areas called Slider Sports Grill. The pretzels are hands-down the best--soft, warm, and delicious. You can get them with a side of cheese that's almost like a white queso with a little bit of spice, which makes them even better. There is always plenty of parking. There is a fee to enter the park, though players are free. The only downside here is that coaches also have to pay. I understand that some teams bring multiple coaches, but it would be nice if at least the head coach didn't have to pay to get in. Another small frustration is that cleats aren't allowed inside the concession area, where the closest restrooms are located. I understand wanting to keep dirt out, but it can be inconvenient for players. That said, the concession area itself is great, indoors, air-conditioned (a huge plus during the hot months), and surrounded by windows so you can sit inside and still watch the games. The design is really well thought out, and they also sell alcohol, which is a nice option for parents. My first time playing at Cactus Yards and I really enjoyed the venue. The fields were in good condition, a clean venue, field maps were clear and helpful, and it was only $5 a day to enter. The batting cages, which we spent a good amount of time at between games, was very inconsistent. Although you do get around 20 pitches per token (way more than the Southern California cages provide), it messes up the practice when balls are delayed in being pitched or they are too low/too high to hit. We were there for a big tournament and the parking situation was really tough. Luckily we could park on the dirt and kinda squeeze in anywhere, but for this large a venue, more parking lot space should be available. Overall a great venue and I hope to play here again. read more

My son played indoor soccer here, which was nice to keep him active in the sport during summertime. The park is great, everything is great OTHER THAN the "coaches" for soccer. If you want your kid to learn to work with and as a team, communicate, learn the sport, etc. this is NOT the place! 95% of the time they are looking away from the game chit chatting with one another, even though they're the referees. read more

This facility needs some TLC and a major air conditioning improvement. They operate off of swamp coolers and it just doesn't cut it for Arizona. I am glad for an indoor soccer option for my kids but having to watch them play in a muggy, dirty (windows need a deep cleaning), limited seating venue is not a highlight of my day. read more

We had a pretty great experience at Cactus Yards. Such a cool place for kids to play. We loved the restaurants on site and the kids loved all the games inside the restaurant. Overall the food prices were fair (besides the $7 bomb popsicle). I didn't give it 5 stars because the fields were really dusty and needed to be sprayed down between tournament games and the major league outfields scenes are needing a bit of an update/facelift. We drove in from El Paso, TX to participate in the USSSA Spring Training III baseball tournament and fell in love with the facilities. Each field is a replica of a MLB Stadium! Our games were played in Yankee & Angel Stadiums and our players loved the "Big League" dugouts and stadium seating feel. While there isn't any dedicated seating along the right and left field sidelines, there is plenty of room to set up chairs and camp-out for the game. The stadium seating between the duggouts provides a great environment for spectators and is covered to provide shade! The indoor concession stand is climate controlled and provides plenty of options for snacks or meals. There is also a bar with a select ranges of alcoholic beverages for patrons to enjoy. My wife stopped by the gift shop and was able to pick up a framed team poster and individual photo of our kiddo that really helped commemorate the event! There was a $5 cover per adult and the only items we were allowed to bring in was water (everything else is available for purchase). We're already looking forward to our next visit! read more

Always have a great time going to the batting cages here. They are usually awesome. Number 6 for slow pitch is hands down the best. Somehow sometimes they're down or go down while in the cages and when I go to the office they're always helpful and willing to give me time vs paying for the pitches. Five star facilities, zero-star service. We're here for tournaments often so it's not a one-off thing. Their service is truly horrible. Be advised that it's $5 entry unless you're a Gilbert resident. I feel like that's fair for the fields, even taking into consideration tournament/league fees. I've had to pay an entrance fee - even as a player or coach - for far inferior fields. They have shade, which is critical when it's 100+ 9 months out of the year. That's great! But it only covers the area directly behind home plate, and isn't even close to adequate on the south-facing fields. They have two indoor concessions areas. That's great! But I've literally never seen more than one register at either in operation at a time, even when the line wraps around the bar area. I'm honestly not sure how or why they have multiple registers. Speaking of the bar... I'm 95% positive that they have only one bartender. For both areas. I'm pretty sure she's the only bartender on staff. And she's great! But you'll be waiting. And waiting. And waiting. For service. Each area has many TVs with sports on every weekend. That's great! But good luck finding someone who can change a channel if you have a specific game you want to watch. Look, treat this place like you would a park without amenities. You're likely going because you or your kid(s) has multiple games on a given day. Official rules are no outside food or drink, but there's a nonzero chance you won't get food or drink if you rely on their service. Do you want to trust your kids' lives with an organization that probably can't even spell hot dog? Protect your family: pack your own food and drinks, otherwise you'll have a bad time. read more

I get you have to make money and I also understand the rules..I did not have the $5 dollars needed to get in the gate. The nazi lady sropped me as everyone was going in and told me $5 dollars. I ased " arent coaches free"? She said absolutely not. I get it doing her job. I said, cant i pay you when my wife gets here? Nope absolutely not. So i just stepped aside, embarrassed as everyone else qent in. As I sat on the curb I thought to myself. I would never run a business like this. I've visited Big League Dreams several times over the years because, at one time or another, both of my sons have played in a baseball tournament here. It never occurred to me to Yelp! about it... Until now! In case you're unfamiliar, Big League Dreams features eight little league sized "replicas" of famous and historic ballparks. I say replicas because they are reasonable facsimiles of the old Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, and Sportsman's Park to name a few. I say facsimiles because the fans in the outfield stands are images screened onto fabric. Thinking back, my first impression was probably along the lines of "Who would build something this cool so far out of town?". If you live in the Northwest valley, like I use to, it feels a little like driving to Tucson. Later, my impression may have changed to "Who would build something this cool and not maintain it?" The ball games continued, in spite of the dilapidation from the sun and elements. Now, I am happy to say, that the facilities are finally seeing some maintenance work. The outfield seats and walls are being repainted. The sky is nice and blue over Waveland and Sheffield Avenues. It appears some of the fabric graphics have been replaced. It's a work in progress. Now, about the concessions, I've always liked the fact that there was a kitchen and dining area at the center of each cluster of four fields. You can dine inside and watch the baseball outside or other sports on the televisions scattered throughout. The food is average to overpriced, but the menu features some items you may not expect, such as BLT's, salads and beer. After all, adult leagues play here too. The primary reason I deducted one star is the entry policy. It's bad enough that it's cash only (when the rest of the park accepts plastic). But seriously?! Players have to pay $1 to enter?! The teams have already paid hundreds of dollars to play at your facility. My sons have never had to pay to get into a tournament they were playing in, anywhere else. And giving them a "dollar off" coin for the concession stands doesn't equal "no entrance fee". Regardless, we had a fun weekend out in Gilbert. And my son's club team won their age bracket. Big League Dreams is one of a number of baseball parks we frequent with the kids playing travel baseball. It is one of the nicest facilities with paved sidewalks, individual ballpark seating with some shade cover, and indoor clubhouses (free to enter) with A/C, snack bar, bar & televisions. From a viewing perspective, the nicest facility we've been at to date. The fields are fairly well kept, though they have some drainage issues with it rains (we've had games canceled after rain). The area behind the plate is far to large for younger players and the net over the backstop area intrudes on playable pop ups, but it I'm sure it helps keep the facility in better shape. The biggest issue I have is one they BLD cannot control... it's an hour from my house, so I dread driving out and back a couple times in a weekend. Overall, one of the best facilities in town, but I'm always hoping for better. read more

Had a tournament over the weekend and drove 400 miles , teammates flying from out of state just for a four day tournament. About 1,000 players in tournament and you're making 5k a day on admission, plus batting cage 10 dollars for 15 mins , and shutting off the menu because the fire alarm goes off during the day . It's a great field and I love playing there but honestly you know the rain is coming , I would invest in traps for the field and clay/dirt for championship day especially when you know the rain is coming a week early . I question the call to not play especially if other games in the area are playing spring training games in Gilbert .Just felt you canceled it to early to set up for the next day ‍ read more

I give zero stars the facility is nice for sure the staff in the concessions are clearly there to collect a paycheck and have the worst attitudes. It seem they make their owns rules during tournaments ........ they are rude they over charge on everything, you pay to get in and would think when children are playing 2day tourney's 2games one day n playing possibly 3 games the next & they're on the fields directly in the sun and your spending money on food n drinks n your team pays to play that the staff in the concessions would be nice and give you that ballfield experience instead of being complete jerks to the people coming in and giving the facility their money with no choice and to be refused a water cup and to want to sell you a small 24oz soda cup instead! So it's like they rip you off and completely take advantage... how can you not sell ice and water and not have to pay that price for a paper soda cup ... but one day they do the next it changes one day its $.50 for ice water then the next day they charge you $4 for a small soda cup .... And when you bring up ARIZONA LAW Law #5: it is illegal to refuse someone a glass of water..... Arizona summers can top 120°F, so it is easy to see how this law came into effect as a public health and safety measure. This law is heavily monitored and businesses can be fined for refusing to provide water either in cups or by way of a cold water fountain (people may still be charged for bottled water). Starbucks famously got around this law by charging not for the water itself, but for the cup. For the most part, however, Arizona businesses adhere to this law as a humanitarian measure. There's a huge sign that says no outside food or drinks before you enter the facility it's sad when price gouging takes place ..... especially in this heat ..... different families different incomes different views .... This review is for the batting cage. There are 4 slow pitch batting cages. I enter and find 1st cage closed already, the 2nd cage will not accept any of my coins(Broken). The 3rd cage works well, so I decide to try the 4th cage. The 4th cage (slow pitch) throws pitches about 5ft high and they hit the backstop (so Broken). When I visited these cages last week, the same conditions existed then, no improvement in a week. Stats 1 out of 4 working cages 25%. This seems about normal where City Employee intersects Paying Customer Service. I used to visit these cages when they were run by BLD. The BLD people were always fiddling and repairing the cages but they were MUCH MUCH BETTER then. Gilbert needs to provide NEW management if these are going to improve. read more

My cousins son is an accomplished baseball player for his age and his team was playing in a tournament here the week after Christmas. On the last day of the tourney I was able to make it out there to watch them play in the Semi Finals and Proceed to win the Championship in their Division. This is not ordinary collection of ball fields...this is the Cadillac (or you pick some higher class vehicle above a Camry and below a Lamborghini) of ball fields and support facilities. They have artistic backgrounds with photo prints of the stands full of fans and each grouping of 3 fields or so has its own Bar and Indoor Snack bar. I was not able to check out some of the large indoor sports facilities they have but looked pretty nice and in the summer heat of the Valley it is nice to have a facility that is "climate controlled". read more

I was really excited to play at the park. I had heard from friends a cross the country about the parks and the restaurant. We played on the Fenway and Yankee fields. The Fenway field does not resemble Fenway or the pictures online. The vinyl backdrop was faded and ripped to the point that we ended up cropping the park out of all the pictures we took. The sun is AZ is a monster. Yankee stadium was a little better, but still very faded. The restaurant was overpriced, which would have been fine had the park lived up to its hype. Bathrooms were fine given the number of people who use it. read more

This discriminates against low-income families, large families, & people with food allergies (who can't eat what is offered in their restaurants). We went to this place to play softball because in California they're not letting anyone play definitely a nice place to go play and watch your kids the bathrooms are clean and the staff are friendly spaced out well there's a food spot where you can actually take food and enjoy it it's somewhat pricey but if your hungry at a ball game you definitely want to buy from the place instead of having to leave to pick up food. This place is located on the outskirts of the area it's definitely nice town there are some good food choices around the corner so you don't necessarily have to buy from the ball park I believe they do let food and sometimes depending on the tournament director I believe but this time they were not stopping us given that I think everyone's a little stressed out over COVID-19 and wanting to be able to see their kids play a game they love to play definitely check this place out in Gioia they do have a batting cage where you can go in there and swing some bats it's organized well very clean but the cats are nice and take care of the fill dirt is amazing the girls look great out there it's a really fun park to go watch the kids play read more
