This place is fantastic. On a cruise and ported in Victoria-- we accidentally stumbled on this place and I'm so happy. The ambience is beautiful and our waitress was above and beyond. So nice and attentive: excellent service. I ordered the truffle crusted chicken and it's genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had. It came with gnocchi and mushrooms and it was truly perfect. I ordered the Frosé to drink and it's also the best drink I've had in so long. Perfect texture and was so delicious. Could not recommend this place enough. read more

Cactus Club Cafe - Canadian (New) Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

Took a road trip to Vancouver and had to stop by Cactus Club after seeing it all over TikTok! We ordered the crab dip, warm pull-apart brioche, prawn crunch, tuna temaki, Creole crab & spinach dip, Baja fish tacos, and chipotle chicken tacos. Everything we ate was absolutely amazing! Of course, we also had to get the peach bellinis because we kept hearing that Drake sound saying, "Get me 5 peach bellinis" Unfortunately, the bellini was probably the one thing we wouldn't get again. It was pretty underwhelming and definitely didn't live up to the hype. We sat outside, and even though it wasn't summer, the patio was comfortable and they had space heaters to keep us warm. The prices also felt pretty affordable, especially with the USD to CAD conversion working in our favor. Overall, the food was SO good and I would definitely come back! read more

Cactus Club Cafe - BAJA FISH TACOS CREOLE CRAB & SPINACH DIP PRAWN CRUNCH TUNA TEMAKI - Canadian (New) Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

This place was walking distance from our hotel which was lovely. It's like an upscale bar with booth seating and high tables. They did have regular tables too. When we got here there was no wait and we were seated right away. The food was great. I loved their truffle fries, it was super crispy. And my entree, the crispy tofu bowl was delish!!! Other things we ordered from the menu were teriyaki chicken, rice bowl, grilled salmon, cheesecake and some cocktails. We enjoyed every single minute. The service was great. Our server was so friendly and she was all smiles every time she came to our table. Overall was a very nice experience. read more

Stopped by Victoria on a cruise. Had 2 hours here and where did we go? Cactus Club! I've heard really good things about the Cactus Club so I had to check it for myself. The place was very busy. Glad we were able to get a seat. Only ordered a few items off the Happy Hour menu because time was so limited. Got the prawn crunch roll, truffle fries, and ravioli. It was good! They tasted great and I'm happy to hear they're gonna open their first US locations soon. Boston and Miami!! read more

The drinks are always great at Cactus. The food is ok, not the best ever but not the worst ever, the vegetarian options are very limited. Every time I'm here the staff are very rude. Most of them act like they'd rather be anywhere else. And they always appear upset if I don't order a drink or a starter. I understand the more we order the most they make in tips... but they can not drop the service completely after deciding they're not getting that tip boost. Last time I was here the server didn't come back ever when she learnt I wasn't ordering a drink. read more

Visited this location numerous times, but was accosted and confronted in an aggressive manner by one of their employees the last time. Already sent feedback through their website, but got no response. Looks like these guys only respond if a comment is in the public eye. read more

This place never disappoints. Been a huge cactus cafe fan since my visit to Vancouver way back in 2016 and this time in Victoria. One of the few spots that serves food until midnight on the island. Gt their chipotle chicken tacos and steam frites from their haappy hour menu and both the dishes were amazing. For drinks we got their peach bellini & local amber lager - perfect drink on a hot summer night. After this for dessert try their choco lava cake which is phenomenal with their vanilla ice cream! Service was great and they have a nice ambience. Ample seating in their dining room or bar. Always fun to be back to Cactus cafe chain anywhere in Canada. Highly recommend. read more

The drinks here are special. The food plentiful and delicious. Ashley, our waitress was the icing on the cake. Very friendly, like an old friend. read more

Shaq from the Arcteryx store down the street recommended this place to us, and we were NOT disappointed! The food was delicious, came piping hot and service was great. We ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken breast with potato gnocchi, mushroom and truffle sauce was just incredible. The Cajun chicken sandwich with truffle fries was a winner as well. 10/10 we'll be back here to try other dishes like the butternut squash ravioli with prawns the next time we're in Victoria! read more

I got the Med Bowl + chicken shawarma and it was so good! A very unique dish that I contemplated at first because I didn't want anything boring and salad-like. The dish was far from boring! Very unique flavors especially the pink hummus (?) that had a hint of coconut in it. The falafel was tasty & had some type of crunch to it. Plenty of veggies - the small cucumber slices in it were SO delicious. I think they were pickled. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable too so that was a plus! read more

Date night at Cactus Club Cafe was amazing, can't wait to come back again. This was probably the best meal I had in Victoria during my last trip there. This place is quite cute and casual. It reminded me a lot of Earl's, which I also adore. Similar menus and ambiance. Great Happy Hour, too. Here's some of what my date and I had here, but with the regular menu pricing: - Truffle Fries for $10.50 *** - Tuna Poke Bowl for $20.75 *** - Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl for $19.75 *** - Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns for $28.75 ***** - Frose for ~$10 *** - The Bellini for ~$10 *** *** Loved and would order again. ...I know I missed a couple of things like sliders and sangria, but we basically loved everything that we ordered. Cactus Club Cafe is in a great spot in Downtown. I would say parking is the worst part, but we didn't have much of a struggle to find a parking garage. read more

Visited Victoria this past weekend and Cactus Club Cafe was on our top pick for places to eat. I am happy to say that it exceeded my expectations! Here is why... The service was absolutely exceptional despite the fact they were really busy. My wife and I love places that are customer obsessed and Cactus Club Cafe made it on our favorites list. The server was really good and made sure to check in every 5-10 mins. She made great recommendations for drinks and starters. The floor manager often came to our table and made sure everything was good. My wife has prior hospitality management experience and she was amazed how good the service was! So +2 stars for the service! Drinks: SIGNATURE SANGRIA (6oz): zinfandel, apricot brandy, fresh strawberries, raspberries, sprite and bellini JALAPEÑO MARGARITA (2oz) cazadores reposado tequila, triple sec, lime, jalapeño, cilantro and smoked chili salt +1 Star: For the amazing drinks and for the drinks being served within 5 mins of us ordering them! Food: We went with simple starters: Truffle Fries and Spicy Chicken: This was a great choice to snack on with our drinks! For the main course we got a Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and Four Mushroom Steak! The food was absolutely delicious! The Steak I got was cooked medium/rare and it was a great choice! The teriyaki chicken was tender and the peppers, broccoli, red cabbage, bean sprouts, spicy yogurt added a great number of flavors to the meal. +2 Stars for the tasty food! If you are visiting Victoria for the first time and need a great place to eat and drink then this should be on your places visit! I highly recommend this place for the quality of service, drinks, and food! The ambience was great as well! If you find this review helpful please like and follow for more! Cheers! read more

I've never ever been disappointed going to any Cactus club location. I love their food. This time was no exception. I had the Bandara salad and it was unbelievably good and my husband had a green prawn curry dish that he raved about. Their food is consistently delicious. A little pricey but worth it to me. read more

Nice lunch in Victoria watching the world go by We popped in for a quick lunch and a couple of drinks. Sat outside on the patio which is small and on a busy city junction....not something i usually like but they have it nicely set up and so i felt we were nicely separated from the bustle. We ordered a couple of sunset sodas and shared a lunch plate. Food was very nice, and the drinks were outstanding...so we ordered 2 more and relaxed watching the city rush on. Nice pitstop. read more

When I'm in Victoria, the first place I go for lunch is the Cactus Club. The staff is always friendly and the food is so good. My favorite is the Pork Lettuce Wraps. They also offer edamame which is a bonus in my book and the Thai Chicken Wings are not overly sweet. The wine list is fun with a good variety of BC wines and you can get wines by the glass in either 6 or 9 ounce pours. I like the 9 ounce because they pour the 6 in the glass and give you the cute little carafe of 3 on the side. My favorite part of the wine section is the bottom of the reds where they have interesting blends that you've likely never heard of, but will amaze and delight you. I had one - Rockpile - that was a blend of 9 different reds - bold and really heavy. LOVED IT! Of course, at $18 per glass it better be good. Truly one of my favorite places to go for a good meal or just appies while in Victoria, but make sure you bring the gold card cause it will put you back a few dollars. read more

I had the Thai Green Curry Bowl and my companion had Rob's Crispy Chicken Sandwich with yam fries. The sandwich was supposed to have spicy panko breading, but there was no seasoning whatsoever (not even salt and pepper) it was sent back, and came back just as bland. The yam fries were way over salted. Even after brushing the salt off, they were inedible. The curry bowl was not much better: the rice was overcooked and mushy, the bok choy was slimy and I nearly choked on it, and the whole thing was swimming in unappetizing green liquid. Very disappointing for such an expensive meal! Will not be returning. read more

You can never go wrong with cactus club. Great place to go with friends and nice place to either dress up for. The steak is always amazing.

Flavorful food, great service, reasonable prices. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. Give it a try.

Good food and great service. We did not have a reservation, but it was an off time and they were able to seat us right away. We had been hiking all day and looked it, but there was no judgement read more

I'd give this place a negative star, if possible. Very offensive behavior from the hostess. I was waiting in line for a table and after taking care of the party in front of me, the hostess completely ignored me and greeted the next guests. They were as surprised and pointed out that I was before them. At that point, she just looked at me and without saying a word, just raised her eyebrows. I was completely shocked at that point, and just had to leave. In hindsight, I should've stayed and said something (who knows) but I was so appalled and embarrassed that I guess my legs decided to react on my behalf. Not that it should matter, but I was well dressed and clean shaven, so it wasn't about that either. We met a ton of amazing people in our trip to Victoria and everybody in all the other restaurants were super friendly and amazing. Sad to come across this person/establishment. read more

Ordered a takeout, everything was good especially the sushi with the mango. The steaks are slightly overcook but its still amazing!

Came in later in the evening. Chill vibes just after some drinks after a travelling. Everything was fine until paying the bill. I left a generous tip on a decent bill for one patron and not even a simple thank you or goodbye was acknowledged. Not from the bartender who served me, the host or the manager who was lounging at a a table with who i would assume was his friends. Left a really bitter end to the whole evening. $25 tip Would like to point out i am server so i know how far little gestures go. Wish i could say any were present. Has nothing to do about the monetary value just the lack of guest appreciation read more

Amazing food! Great service! The restaurant was perfectly lit, no bright lights. Some candles on tables and no sun blaring in.

The great thing about Cactus Club is that you can always expect great consistency. Whether that be in Vancouver or on the Island. This particular location was actually the very first Cactus Club I had ever stepped foot into. This location is in a prime spot in the heart of downtown Vic. Which means you can always expect it to be busy. Thursday-Saturday evenings, I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming in for dinner, because the waitlist gets really full very quickly. Just like other Cactus Clubs, the service, food, and drinks are all fantastic. Fun fact: this is the first location that I learned about dirty fries (fries tossed in truffle + chili oil), and I've been hooked ever since! This was also the place where I had my first bellini. So yeah, you could say I get a bit nostalgic whenever I visit this location, ha! My fave dishes still remain the same: + Spicy chicken + Lettuce wraps + Tuna stack + Butternut squash prawn ravioli + Mini crispy chicken sandwiches + Quinoa salad + Pesto chicken quesadilla Whether it's lunch, happy hour, or dinner, you can never go wrong with Cactus. Thanks for being my go-to while I lived in Victoria and for introducing me to dirty fries! ;) read more

I had the chicken and mashed potatoes with asparagus. The chicken was decently juicy and not tough. The potatoes came in abundance. The meal tasted salty but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The asparagus was fresh and thick. Overall it was a decent amount of food and tasted decent. Service was great and the interior was appealing. I would go back to this place again and try out different items. read more

While in Victoria, came across Cactus which I had seen in Vancouver but had not visited. We thought we'd try it out and it was great. The Tex Mex/Asian/Italian/steakhouse cuisine sounds like an odd mix up but is well done. They have vegetarian options which is a big thumbs up. Drinks were fantastic, and the food came out fast. Our waiter was good. The decor is modern and hip with amber chandeliers, brown leather seating, black brick and dark wood. It gets really loud in here. I saw TV's in the bar area and could see it getting louder. We had the beef carpaccio, which melted in our mouths. I had the hunter chicken which has four mushrooms and a rich demi glace, and it was spot on. My companion got the cajun fajitas, and he said they were great with a good amount of heat. I'll be coming back! Food: 4 Service: 4 Parking: 2 Ambiance: 4 read more
