This place is A+++++ Food is fresh, and delish! Customer service is top notch! Don't even question yourself, GO! #YourWelcome

The food was incredible! Huge portions for pretty good prices. I'd say it's a little bit more expensive than your average Mexican restaurant ($14 for 3 veggie tacos w/ rice and beans) but well worth it. Their rice and beans are VEGAN! A very nice surprise as lots of restaurants use lard in their beans and chicken broth in their rice. I got the Sol tacos which had plantains, pineapple, black bean hummus, and peppers. I asked for no cheese, to make it vegan, and they were awesome!! Downsides: The location is kind of awkward and you have to make a U-turn immediately off the highway to get there. The service was SLOW. They don't have any HOT salsa. I'm used to Mexican restaurants offering a habanero salsa, or something more spicy than your average jar of salsa.

Probably the worst Mexican food in the valley. Bland, flavorless, and uninspired. Queso should not be grainy.

Food was dry and overcooked. Small menu for a Mexican restaurant.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We started with the guacamole appetizer, which was quite small for the price. Our main dishes were fine but nothing special. Food is not particularly authentic apart from the salsa. We also requested some hot sauce and were surprised to find there was an extra charge for it once the bill came, it was homemade but we would have been happy with a bottle of Tapatio. Overall, we probably won't be back. There are definitely better options for quality Mexican food in the Valley, at a more reasonable price point.

I've been back several times and always wanted to be much happier after the experience, but unfortunately cannot report such an experience after my latest visit. Firstly, the place is very attractive, so felicitaciones to the person responsible for the design. Unfortunately, as the case with many restaurants, more attention is put into the decor than the food. I'll make this quick... My chicken enchiladas were very mediocre, without much flavor, and delivered lukewarm to the table. The chips are quite good. The salsa is mediocre. The hot green salsa is not good at all. The presentation on the plate was really poor, with the items haphazardly placed with no adornment with cilantro or anything to make the dish look appealing. The chicken was not all white meat and not very flavorful... And not much of it. Service was just ok... Nothing more than the minimal expected. The prices are about in line with other Mexican restaurants, but this one nickels and dimes you--actually dollars--for any common small things you might ask for, such as a couple of skinny lime wedges. I can't speak to the overall bar-drink quality, but there's a nice cocktail menu with some creative offerings. I tasted the tequila sunrise margarita and thought it was a bit imbalanced and light on the sour element. It's too bad. The place is really cozy and the paintings are fantastic. They're framed with ornate, painted borders and are set against a light-colored wall, giving the restaurant a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Day of the Dead theme adds a cultural touch, celebrating Mexican heritage which adds to the experience. Unfortunately, the kitchen needs to up its game to match the quality of the art. Not planning on returning soon... although I wish them well. I will drive significantly farther to go to Plaza Azteca, but we'll try them again in another 6 months or so in hopes of improvement. Casa Catrina is less than a mile from my house, so I greatly want them to succeed, but they need to make changes in their food quality.

Simple, fresh, and full of flavor. On the side, I went with their esquites which was a yellow corn, slathered with a tangy crema, sprinkled with cotija cheese, chili powder, and a squeeze of lime. Sweet with just the right amount of spice -- the perfect complement to the tacos. Service: This spot runs on a fast-casual setup: you place your order at the counter and pick it up at the other end when it's ready. There's no traditional table service here -- they don't bus tables or check in during your meal -- but the process is quick, easy, and keeps things moving. Ambiance: The space has a casual, modern taqueria feel with a mix of rustic wood walls, warm lighting, and simple seating. Long bench seating lines one side with small tables, giving it a cozy but no-frills vibe. Since you order at the counter, you can watch the kitchen crew preparing fresh food as you wait -- which adds to the energy and authenticity of the place. It's more of a quick-bite atmosphere than a sit-and-linger spot, but it's clean, bright, and comfortable enough whether you're grabbing lunch solo or stopping in with a friend. Value: For $20.98, I got three tacos and a side of street corn. It's not the cheapest taco spot in town, but the handmade tortillas, quality steak, and generous portions help justify the price. Recommend: If you're craving authentic, no-frills tacos with bold flavors and fresh tortillas, this is the spot. Perfect for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or even a takeout taco fix. This is my go-to place for tacos in the Lehigh Valley.

Just heard that some new locations are coming to Bethlehem and possibly Easton.
