The new store is very spacious and well designed with natural wood displays and nice lighting. The clothing tends to be in the preppy outdoor vein with good selections of semi-expensive brands and extensive menswear and women's sections. In the back of the store is whole room devoted to luggage and footwear, and you'll also find everything from sunglasses to candles in other parts of the store. One of my favorite touches was the cute clubhouse style lounge for kids to watch TV while parents shop. And there's even a built-in bar in another section for events. The employees are friendly, everything is clean and new, and it's a nice place to shop if you want to browse and see how things fit.

The jewelry that I noticed they have in the front was very cheap you can buy those anywhere actually in these little divi So I would say a 3 star would be an accurate reading for this boutique. Reason is that the person was very nice in the front and was wanting to know what I wanted so forth but as I was going through the store I've noticed these things that was a little off. So when I buy items in a store I have to see the brand names for I can tell by touching the jewelry to see if they're quality or not and how long they'll last. So they're marking up prices for the jewelry that is not anything you could buy at a high-end store probably a Dollar General store. That being said the service here is pretty nice the lady was very sweet letting me know what I was seeking wanting etcetera. But overall I'll give this another chance to see if I can find some items in this particular boutique when I'm in the area.

My mother gifted me a shirt from here and I drove 45 minutes to exchange it because it didn't fit…read more(I was told there is not a return policy at all so I went in anticipating the bare minimum of an exchange). She originally said the shirt was outside of the 2 week exchange window and refused to exchange it and said "guess you'll have to regift it haha". Then I proceeded to get into my car about to leave then noticed on the receipt the shirt was purchased less than 2 weeks ago so I went back in to let her know then she changed the story and said that the shirt was purchased on clearance so it wouldn't be able to be exchanged. For a small business it's insane to have such strict policies that leave customers with clothes they hate or that don't fit. Their sub par Yelp rating is spot on with how they run their business. Way too much shopping in Westlake to deal with this kind of tomfoolery.

Julian Gold specializes in unique pieces sources in the United States and abroad. The store itself is visually appealing with floor to ceiling windows emitting tons of natural sunlight. In addition, the store is nicely laid out making it easy to peruse the racks and other items within the boutique. While this boutique could be considered high end, they do have very good sales. For example, during their Margarita sale some items sell for 70-75% off. When they were located on 6th Street, they used to serve margaritas during their margarita sales. Given that my shopping love language is sales and deep discounts, over the years I have found some incredible deals. As an example, a few years back, you could purchased a pair of shoes at 80% off during an end of season sale. Service is what sets Julian Gold apart from most boutiques. The sales representatives go out of their way to get to know you personally. Julian Gold has stores located in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, TX. They will happily transfer items in those stores to Austin, TX, if you make that request. In fact, when we lived Washington state, I visited the store every 1-2 years, but when I returned to Austin, they always greeted me warmly and by name.

I visited the Austin location in search of a classic crew cashmere sweater for an upcoming trip…read more(didn't want to pack my heavier cashmere tops) and was pleased to find them available in store. However, color options were limited at the time - gray and canvas (oatmeal). I tried them on and purchased the Small size as I found the fit a bit larger on my frame. The cashmere crew was comfy and I wore a base layer underneath (cotton long sleeve tee) . I was pleased to grab the second sweater (canvas) on sale. Overall solid shopping experience and good value considering other cashmere brands are on the higher price points. It's nice to own various cashmere pieces from good value buys to high end luxury. Personally, Everlane sweaters are priced just right for those on the fence, you won't be disappointed.
