Such a cute and clean little spot with great music--not too loud, just right. It's on the smaller side, and I wasn't expecting it to be a walk-up-and-pay style restaurant (almost like a fast food setup), but they still bring the food out to you, which was nice! The food is a bit on the pricey side but SO worth it. The portions were big, and everything was delicious. If you're debating between the Birria quesadilla and the Birria pizza, just go for the quesadilla! They're basically the same thing, but the pizza comes with extra toppings (cilantro, cheese). My only small complaint is... I firmly believe it should be illegal for a Mexican restaurant to not have complimentary chips and salsa. And they were $6.99 to purchase. YIKES, absolutely wild. The service was nice, was greated as soon as I walked in the door and told goodbye when I left. The lady at the register gave me her recommendations and opinions and helped me decide what I wanted. I ordered the Birria Cabo, and some chips and queso, it ended up coming out to aroune $24. The bag of chips was huge, the chips were fresh and tasted good, the queso on the other hand was bland, didnt have any peppers or anything it just tasted like cheese someone melted in the microwave. The portion size was huge though. The Birria was a very generous portion size but lacked flavor, it was so unseasoned that I had to douse it in hotsauce and completely dip it in the cosume to get any taste of any thing whatsoever. I eat Birria at least once a month, sometimes weekly, this was hands down the worst Birria Ive ever had. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the service was good, the resturant was clean and had a nice vibe and the serving sizes were great. read more

We were in our way to Tipton to a football game and looked up restaurants in Lawton and found Cabo Taco. It was fabulous! I am not a picky eater, I order a bowl and it was just not hot or warm at all and all of the ingredients just tasted like it was seating out all day. This place is amazing. I got their tacos and nachos and they were both fantastic. But their nachos are the best I have ever had. It's like Chipotle, but with nachos. The only product they offer that my wife and I do not like is the guacamole. They just make it too salty. I am absolutely addicted to these nachos now and I love that this restaurant is locally owned. We will be eating here often! read more

I was very disappointed today. After ordering 3 hard tacos and a child's meal of "nachos" & 2 drinks. I guess the most disappointing thing was I received 3 soft street tacos and were really wet Nachos. It was $28+ tip.. it was a lot like Taco Bell. My friend was picking up food. He texted me the menu and asked what I want. I chose crispy beef tacos, picture looked amazing with toppings and some white drizzle on top. I am originally from NorCal so I've had my fair share of different Mexican cuisine from fancy to in the hood street tacos. I don't ever come to Oklahoma but I did for an Army graduation. So I was looking for dinner around my hotel. Let me tell y'all that this restaurant is BOMB. So good that some California restaurants suck compared to this. I tried their Birria street tacos, Mexican corn, churros, and horchata. All were SO good. See my photos but $5 for the Mexican corn was worth it. Churros comes in threes and has some type of filling inside which was surprisingly delicious! Tacos and consome was such a hit! I added some of the consome to the corn, thumbs up. I was that hungry! Nothing we tried was less than good. I would lean towards the tacos over the burritos though. The tacos were very good, the green salsa was very good. For the tacos I tried carnitas, shredded beaf, and shrimp. I think the shrimp was the best of those three. My only issues with the burrito were too much inside with not enough flavor. About 6 months ago I was LOVING this place. For some reason there was a lot of turnover and now it's just a bunch younger employees always on their phones, screwing up orders, and just not caring. The food is no longer as good either. It's very flavorless, I get a different answer every time I ask for the guacamole salsa, and things constantly seem to change with what they charge extra for. Really like this place. Food was fresh and tasty, and the service was very good. I like being able to choose exactly what goes on my taco and choosing the type of shell. I got a regular crispy taco shell. Next time I'll try to the fried flour tortilla shell. The chips and white queso were very good and unique for Lawton. I typically like to explore new places that are said to be "authentic", especially with Mexican cuisine. Like I said, the tacos were absolutely nothing like these posts. They were small tacos, no flavor. I might as well should've gotten double the rice. Oh, which by the way the rice had no flavor, it was just plain rice. So that says a lot about the tacos. I usually don't leave reviews but i'm really disappointed with this place and i use to enjoy it back in 2021. Tonight we got the Birra street tacos and they lack any flavor whatsoever, the rice also tasted and felt to be pre-cooked rice that you microwave in a bag. Not only were the sides of rice and beans unenjoyable they were tiny containers of maybe 3oz? The food is way overpriced for what you get so just keep that in mind. Found this little gem on the west side of Lawton. It was fantastic. I had the birria tacos and they were delicious!!! Highly recommend
