I found Cabinets Unlimited accidentally while driving by. I decided to go in because we were looking for kitchen cabinets for our remodel. I met Victoria and knew within one minute that I wasn't going to continue my remodel without her. She is not just the person we bought our cabinets from, she was vital to the design of our whole kitchen. She knew exactly what cabinets needed to go where, what size pantry we should go with, the shape and size of our island.... everything. She came to our home several times to meet with our contractor and take measurements, to make sure everyone was on the same page. She gave me recommendations where to go for windows, sinks, hardware, backsplash. When I visited those places everyone said, "oh, we love working with Victoria." I wasn't surprised. Victoria is by far the most amazing contractor I have ever worked with. I had purchased my first home in Portland with the intent of redoing the kitchen (I wish I had the before pics so you can see how stunning the after pics are), but it rest assured, it was originally hideous. After buying the condo, I was on a tight budget but thought it was worth seeing what an upgrade would cost. I'm so happy I found Victoria. She worked with me to find something that was in my price point. She even made suggestions on how I could take out some of the line items in her quote, like doing my own demo/removal, putting in the backsplash myself, etc. She told me over and over again, we can keep this at a reasonable price point if you don't move appliances or the sink, so unless I was deadset on changing the appliance layout, to leave it. I'm not even sure how to address the two negative reviews about her fleecing people for more more money - she was literally the opposite of that. And the craftmanship was great. Solid cabinets, soft closing drawers, everything was lined up perfectly - I didn't appreciate that at the time b/c I had never had a bad renovation. With Victoria I just went to her showroom, sat with her a couple times to pick out the things I liked, and then when they came in, her team came over and installed it. She was in and out of my apartment within a week. I thought ALL renovations went like that. It wasn't stressful - it was fun. She told me during the planning process that she won't lift a finger until the products come in b/c she likes to open and close projects, not leave them hanging for months - again, something I didn't fully appreciate until years later when I had a different contractor in my kitchen for 9+ months I had such a great experience that I told my mother about her, and SHE hired Victoria to HER kitchen and bathroom reno. I live in New York now and have had two different contractors I've absolutely hated. Their work was shoddy, they took way too long to finish, it was a miserable mess. My husband and I are looking at houses and I have made it very clear to him that if we're doing another kitchen reno, I'm calling my lady Victoria and asking her how much she charges to come out because I am NOT using another crappy NY contractor. read more

OK on the sales and promotion side, but not interested in finishing the job. We've worked with a number of custom cabinetry providers in our businesses and homes. What a mistake to listen to our contractor and work with Victoria. As the other negative reviews point out, she's a sales person first. Don't count on being a satisfied customer. Couldn't get her to come back and finish obvious installation mistakes. Said she would finish out the cabinet installation then disappeared when it was time to get the details taken care of. And, she can be a raving b**** on the phone. This project was in a $2 million home. We're not pinching pennies. To finish the project, square up cabinet doors, fix mistakes and complete the installation, we had to hire one of our previous cabinetry providers. What a contrast: he actually showed up a day later (no lame excuses about "how busy" she is like Victoria), made changes, repairs and adjustments in a couple of hours. He was also critical of the pre-fab, modular nature of the cabinetry from Victoria. What a difference! Steer clear if quality, workmanship and customer satisfaction matter to you. read more

I would steer as far away from this company as possible. Unfortunately Victoria is amazingly smart which means conniving and dishonest. She will absolutely suck you in to your dream kitchen and then leave you feeling your cabinets are from Habitat from Humanity afterward. Victoria will tell you how amazing she is and she "Designs the homes of Blazers" and yet she is very frugal. Yes, I agree, Victoria is frugal...with HER money. You start with an idea or a budget and then every idea you have after that is $5000 extra. I now have a $40,000 kitchen that I can't stand. We have zero bells and whistles. No sliding shelves or drawer accents. It started out as $20k but after you spends months and months working with someone you just move forward. I feel so dumb. I could end it right here when I caught her installer utilizing a SHARPIE marker to cover up his mistakes, scratches and dents in my cupboards. Victoria claimed this is "industry standard". Industry standard to cover up scratches with a Sharpie marker? Cherry wood cabinets? And not even admit to it until I caught the guy redhanded? Additionally, her and Scott are as sneaky as they come. Example? (if the Sharpie incident wasn't enough) There are many. I took out a full 3' of counter? I didn't check the drawing and quote after each change we made. I tried to save money by cutting my island down 2 feet. Well she cut my island down for sure, only she only cut the countertop and not the cupboards, saving me about $200 instead for $3000.00. She helped me put in an island that is 48" wide. Who needs that? I can't even pass anything across the island to my kids who are sitting on the wrong side. Again, if you are doing business with this woman, do not forget that she is running a business. You will think you are pals. You will think she CARES about your project. You will do something to save money. She will tell you she is just too busy to get you the revised price that week but it will all work out in the end. And then...It doesn't. And you are don't find out until the end unfortunately. The worst part is the that Victoria makes you feel guilty about anything you ask. A sample wood? "Oh that will take 3 weeks to get a sample and that will put our project behinds schedule and I will be forced to put another project in front of yours" Victoria knows how to apply pressure but then when she is over-pressured in the middle of a project she has no trouble flying off to mexico to relax and leave your project to sit. If all of this wasn't enough, she refuses credit and debit cards and when you don't have time to drive to Tigard to hand the woman a check for $400.00...she will hold all of the handle install until you do. She literally held up a $40,000 project for $250 worth of handles and knobs. If you don't have more money than God, if you would like to stay on time and on budget, if you don't like to be treated like you're stupid....then please...Hire someone else. Oh and BTW Victoria, where is my cabinet cleaner that was promised from the beginning? I need to clean up so Sharpie mess. read more

We were so pleased with the cost and her guidance through this project. We turned an upstairs bonus room into a bar and we are very happy with the final outcome. We would not recommend Cabinets Unlimited and Victoria Fenton for smaller projects because, after almost 4 months of working with her (from August to Nov. 19, 2020 on two bathrooms, a fireplace wall and items in the kitchen) and thinking we were next in line to start renovating, she said she had taken on several larger home projects. By the time she went from three to six big projects, she wrote she couldn't do ours and suggested we get someone else. We can't fault her from getting bigger projects, but we do fault her for not telling us two months earlier so we could have looked for someone else right away. By Sept. 16, 2020, we had picked out 3 bathroom sinks, faucets, counter tops, backsplash and had purchased two medicine cabinets and one toilet; she had the electrician and plumber here to go over what they needed to do in the bathrooms and kitchen; Charlie had removed small sections of two bathroom walls behind mirrors to see if the medicine cabinets could be recessed, and Fergusons had sent her a complete list of the items, numbers and prices of everything we had picked out. She still had not gotten bids on our counter tops, despite her writing on November 3rd that "We have been having smoking deals on counter tops for the last 1 1/2 months, due to cleaning out for the end of the year." Our fireplace stone could not be done because the company had closed during the pandemic, but she didn't know that. As it turned out, our new contractor had someone who could get the counters here and installed quickly. We were without our bathrooms for only two days, not the 2- 2 1/2 weeks Victoria said we were going to be without use of them. As an aside, our recommendation for bathroom and kitchen fixtures would be Fergusons (a showroom for Build.com) rather than Consolidated Fixture Gallery which she sent us to, because we felt Fergusons had a much better and varied selection items than Consolidated. read more

Her customer service skills are amazing, daily communication, her team always on time, clean, friendly and extremly conscientious. Do not use this company! I had the worst experience with this company and more specifically Victoria. I first made an appt a couple months ago after calling and speaking with Victoria over the phone. I came in for my appt which was a very informal discussion about what a wanted in my new kitchen. She seemed to make minimal notes and just agreed with my ideas and said that everything was doable. She said she would have a quote in a week. She emailed me the quote a week later with only numbers and no details about the cabinets and what features were included with this quote. So I emailed her an asked and she said that would be done after a $200 dollar measurement consultation. So I emailed her asking her to set that up. She didn't email me back and I had to email again and she eventually got back to me and scheduled an appt. by this time 1 month had gone by. At the appt she had a drawing that completely ignored a lot of what I had said in our in person meetings. In the drawing she had moved my dishwasher into the middle of my galley kitchen... I guess I am just supposed to jump over it to take my plates from the table to the sink. She didn't have the pantry on the drawing and had a large cabinet placed where it wouldn't work. I reiterated my wishes and she acted a bit annoyed that I was questioning her design. At the end of the appt she said she would have a more detailed bid in a week. I emailed her 3 weeks later after not hearing anything and just asked if she needed any more information and what the eta on the bid was as I have a timeline for my kitchen remodel. What she emailed back was so rude and unprofessional I was so taken back! She said her husband was sick and that she couldn't meet my deadline. Which is still 3 months away so it really should be plenty of time. Anyways, she went on to say that her "time and ideas are a gift given to you". Which is so rude and unprofessional considering she just wasted 2 months of my time and she never gave me anything except some numbers on a paper. And she completely ignored my ideas and wishes for my kitchen. She needs to get with the times and order some software for kitchen remodels and not be so unprofessional and waste peoples time. Do not use this unprofessional company it will only leave you behind your remodel and dealing with someone who obviously doesn't care about their customers. read more

We did a huge remodel in our house and had checked out a couple other places before going to Cabinets Unlimited. We met with Victoria and instantly could tell a difference in the customer service we were receiving. We had purchased all new appliances but needed help with the design of the kitchen. Victoria came over 4 times to work with us bringing samples and ideas for the design before we even had committed to using her. We had never done a remodel so it was very reassuring having her help us. She has her general contractors license and was able to guide us through the whole process with electrical, plumbing, HVAC etc.. there is no way we could have done it all without her. In regards to the product and installation....AMAZING! My husband is a residential appraiser and sees kitchens every day. Without a doubt our cabinets and design are top quality. The precision and time Charlie (installer) took was beyond what I expected. We had some issues come up (completely my fault! I gave the wrong measurements of our vent hood to Victoria) and she figured out a solution immediately. There were many times during our 4 month remodel (it grew from just a kitchen to an entire floor) that Victoria was there for me to cry and vent to. She always has a positive attitude and nothing stresses her out. We also had our hardwood floors redone and went with a person she recommended. That team was also superior. Their bid was the same as other ones we had received but they provided more. We are going to be remodeling 3 bathrooms soon and we are DEFINITELY using Cabinets Unlimited. You seriously can't find anyone better at design, quality and customer service. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for her. And just as an FYI I found Victoria and her place on Yelp! If I can give this company 10 stars I would. We worked directly with Victoria for our kitchen remodel.We were reno virgins and we found her to be most helpful and informative compared to other companies/vendors in town. She did not leave any stones unturned and was there for us every step of the way throughout the entire process. She was very knowledgeable and was very responsive to our needs. She went above and beyond to make our dream kitchen come true. We initially sought her for just our cabinets and decided to go with a different vendor for our countertop. However, our first countertop installation was a complete disaster. When the original countertop vendor could not provide a quality product or craftsmanship, we reached out to Victoria again. Victoria did not hesitate to rescue us. She moved her schedule around and was able to get us a new countertop right away. We don't have enough good things say about her. If you want expertise, superior customer service and quality products, go with Cabinets Unlimited!!! We are so glad we did!!!! Will be sharing pics of our new kitchen. They did our cabinets and counters in our kitchen and really went above and beyond. I found the stone I liked for the counters and she found something very similar, but much cheaper - in Seattle. I highly recommend Cabinets Unlimited! We bought a home that did not have cabinets in the laundry room or above the toilet in the master bathroom. It had been 10 years since the house was originally built so we were concerned about finding cabinets that would match. Cabinets Unlimited managed to do it and we are very satisfied with the results. Victoria was an absolute gem to work with and our new cabinets look like they have been there since the beginning.
