My group got followed by some intimidating guys after an incident inside CUATRO CUARTOS. It turns out that Cuatro Cuartos and Tahona are ran by two separate owners. Tahona restaurant rents a space inside the winery & is owned by a different owner. Tahona restaurant and Arsenico restaurant (By Cuatro Cuartos) are direct competition. We had a Mezcal tasting with Tahona at 1pm but we were very hungry and I knew Tahona had a restaurant right next to the ship, but the security guys at the entrance told us the only restaurant was Arsenico so I thought "oh maybe Tahona restaurant closed down"; when you get to the parking lot, two parking guys that guide traffic told us the same thing that the only restaurant was Arsenico. We went to Arsenico and asked again; Arsenico host told us "They do serve a few items inside the ship"; so we went to Tahona ship. It turned out they still had the Tahona restaurant and we ate there. At the end (me not knowing that 4 cuartos and Tahona were seperate businesses), I told the waitress they had to coordinate better cause the staff didn't know there was a restaurant. I was transferred to the manager and he requested that I left an audio review on their whatsapp cause the two owners were going to have a last minute meeting GIVEN THE INCIDENT! They gave us a free drink in return. We stayed another hour & by the time we got to the car, someone had intentionally scratched the right side of the car! Fresh paint from the other car was on the floor! The parking guys denied it but it was impossible that they didn't see the incident since their only job is to guide cars to park and help clients park. At that point a red jeep with a couple of intimidating guys arrived and were talking to the parking guys; the 4 guys starred at us with an angry look & we felt threatened so my friends asked that I didn't call the police nor submit a report so we started driving towards the exit, only to be followed by an SUV. They were trying to intimidate us to retaliate! read more
