Food is good, never got anything bad from there. My complaint is with ordering. They take the phone off the hook so you can't call to order take out. Average Mexican food with a substantial price tag. Meat had a hint of nice flavor, but not enough. Queso seemed watered down with milk. Salsa was the same as so many other restaurants, although the hot salsa was nice and a little different. It all was very okay, but not for the price. read more

Not quite sure how many stars to give as what your choice is varies from visit to visit. There's never enough help in the front of the restaurant for starters. The food is so-so. We chose 2 of their lunch specials today. Mine was okay, hubby's had bad oil taste, chicken and beef were well overcooked, and by the time waitress asked we were halfway done. The service is always great and it's nice when the servers recognizes you as a valued customer. I have been eating at this restaurant for a long time even at a different location. The food is always good and it's my go-to place when I'm really hungry. I like eating in a quiet environment and the wonderful server let me know the best time for me to come in. Pretty good place to have some Mexican food in Marion. The restaurant was clean and when we went here in May 2021 they were still following COVID protocol. I had Nazaret's Special Mix which came out sizzling on a hot plate and is why my picture looks a little foggy. I was impressed with the amount of flavor in this dish. It came with rice and beans which were also pretty good. My wife had the jalapeño skins which are similar to the ones we make at home. Overall, a pretty good restaurant. read more

Awful food! Big Mexican food fan here and this place is by far the worst Mexican food restaurant I've been to. I ordered a burrito and the only ingredients in it are steak and a flour tortilla. Save yourself the money and go some where else. read more

Food is awesome. They are under staffed, so service is slow. Expect to wait. But free chips and salsa makes the time go by nicely.

I have been to many Mexican restaurant up and down the east coast..this has to be one of the worst. No limes? Anything we asked for they acted like they didn't know what it was. I had to chase my own beer down waitress was behind the bar on phone. They just disappeared. It was like pulling teeth here. We were in town for a funeral and stopped for lunch. While my fajitas taco salad was very good the service was terrible. We ordered drinks and had to ask another waitress to get them. I had high hopes for "Cabanas", but unfortunately was very disappointed. Although the service on an Tuesday evening was good, the menu comprehensive and looking quite encouraging - but the food was a fail. I've eaten Mexican food across the country and some of the best has been in small out of the way places - this is not one of them. A small basket of chips and salsa came promptly with the menu. Chips just what you'd expect, and the medium salsa cold & fresh but perhaps a bit heavy on garlic. No extra chips were offered once the first were finished while we waited. . I ordered a combination plate: beef enchilada & tamale w-rice, plus a taco on the side. In the lonely middle of a large (cold) oval plate was a lukewarm, slim, beef enchilada -which probably did not have more than two tablespoons of meat in it - covered with very salty red chili gravy next to perhaps 2/3 cup of pale, sad, overcooked nearly tasteless rice. Could I move on to a steamy, fresh cornhusk tamale? - "Sorry, the cook said we're out of tamales". (I have a feeling I probably did not miss much.) Did a hot homemade crispy taco save the day? (I had visions of a plump fresh tortilla quick-fried containing a handful of shredded beef, tomatoes, a couple jalapenos, cotjia cheese...) Nope...on a separate (again, cold) plate was a preformed, dry thin corn tortilla with hamburger, lettuce and shredded mild white cheese...Taco Bell on a plate. Ayyyee, Cabana's, are you too cheap for some tomato, a little guac?? I would consider their prices reasonable if the meal had been something other than seeming assembled off a steam table with provisions from Sam's Club. For the quality of meal, I felt overcharged, and will not be giving them a second chance. Adios, Cabana's, you're not going to fool me twice. read more

Cabana's has a very extensive menu! The food is really delicious and the salsa is tasty. We've gone twice now and service is not good. The wait staff doesn't come by after your food is delivered. Drink refills are not offered and they don't check up on you. We waited for our check the first visit and finally went to the front after no one spoke to us or came back by the table. I'd love to make this place a fav but one last try is all we'll give. read more

Cabanas is the GO TO restaurant in town! The fresh salsa is amazing and the fajitas are the best. Couldn't imagine Marion without Cabanas :)

truly the worst service i've ever experienced. our waitress treated us like garbage even though we were extremely polite and she wouldn't even respond if we would ask for more chips or a refill she would just glare at us and walk away. we really could not believe it. i wish i knew her name but she hardly said more than a few words to us. very disappointed. the food was still very good but not worth it due to outrageously rude staff. read more

The beans and rice were so flavorful and the shrimp fajitas were great!!! Fast friendly service. We were hesitant to stop here because it was pretty much the only restaurant in town, but we were so hungry! We left very satisfied!
