Such an amazing place for brunch !! We went two mornings while staying at the hotel. I ate so many…read moredelicious items! The first morning I had silog with tamarind chicken and pork asada, and lots of crispy Danggit! The congee was amazing! U added every topping possible plus fresh calamansi juice! Also had lychee chia pudding one morning and blueberry the next. The lycée was absolutely delicious! We consumed heaps of the most delicious dragon fruit. Now onto the pastries!! One morning they had bread and butter pudding squares and the other morning they had taisan bread. Both were so scrumptious!! Our server Harven was a delight! Friendly, got us warm milk, and answered my 6 million questions! We also took pictures in the back patio that overlooked Laguna de Bay. Beautiful views in every direction. They also had pineapple and mango jam! New jam flavors to me that were delicious on my cream cheese filled French toast. My husband also tries the miso ramen and the fresh salad with a great sesame dressing. In other words, we ate everything, everyone was so friendly and the views are incredible.

Though it operates as a rooftop bar and restaurant, they also offer buffet breakfast for in-house guests. FOOD: 3/5 The overall food selection was quite limited, primarily a mix of Filipino, American, Chinese and other International dishes. The food was decent but could have been better overall. SERVICE: 5/5 I noticed that most of the servers were male while a few female staff at the food counter. Regardless, all of them were attentive, polite, and efficient. AMBIANCE: 4/5 Being at the rooftop, the restaurant provides a full view of the city. I can only imagine how much more stunning these views at night with the city lights. It also features a mini pool - not for use but aesthetically for decor which I believe needs a little polishing and renovation. Overall, the buffet breakfast at The Nest did its job - it fill us up in the morning, though I wished there was a wider selection. And I take my hats off to the staff at The Nest - their service were on point!

Delicious and surprisingly, affordable. They serve their classic churros fresh and hot, and the hot chocolate dip dark and rich. Everything about it makes me think of #rainydaygoals hahaha. Their chocolate-covered churros are served cold, which can be paired perfectly with their latte. We had those big order of classic churros (around 12?), a couple of flavored ones (Dulce de Leche for the win!) and some choco-coated churros for a little over 500 pesos. Not bad, eh? I must say, I'm quite impressed with their menu and value for money. I'll definitely be back soon to try their breakfast sets (French Toast sounds good!).

I've heard and read about Neil's Kitchen for years now from friends and food bloggers alike but…read moreI've never had the chance to try it even though this location (their first and original location) is super close to our house. My friends planned a "South Saturday lunch" so that we can hang out in my neck of the woods instead of going all the way to Makati to hangout. Luckily I got a table immediately before the crowds arrived and a queue was formed. We ordered the following to share: 1. Tokwa't (Tofu) and Baboy (Pork) - we all enjoyed this appetizer that we ordered more fried tofu. The sauce was tangy and sweet while the tofu was cooked really well, crisp outside and soft inside. The pork was tasty and crispy as well. Loved the flavours and the textures in this dish 2. Crab fat pasta with crab cakes - the pasta wasn't too overpowering but you can def taste the crab fat. The crab cakes were made with real crab and they didn't scrimp on it. Great dish! 3. Sinigang paella and pork belly - one of their most popular dishes at Neil's Kitchen (we actually ordered two!). The sinigang in the paella was a great way to do a different take to sinigang and the pork belly was delicious. 4. Kare-kare with bagoong rice - kare kare was great with the distinct peanut taste and loved the veggies too. The bagoong rice was a nice accompaniment to the dish. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Neil's Kitchen and next time I want to try their desserts.

They should have a rule when it comes to pets and restaurants. Malls and lets is understandable. But Pets and Restaurants is a whole new story. Dont get me wrong I love pets dogs specially, but we have to be respectful of others preference and health conditions.
Yelp Review 2023 # 44:…read more I've seen how this bake shop evolved. Starting out as Dates Cafe to Dates and Nuts to Conti's at a little space in BF. Their cakes and their food are delicious which warranted more locations all over the metro. My personal favorites since I was a kid are Chicken ala Kiev served with buttered vegetables and garlic rice, Mango Bravo cake (crunchy meringue layers, creamy chocolate mousse, cream, mangoes), and their blended iced tea with calamansi. Honestly, all their menu items - both savory and sweet are delicious. It just depends on your mood. Other favorites include Beef Salpicao, Roast Beef in Mushroom Sauce, Sans Rival, and Blueberry Cheesecake - I actually don't like blueberries but this cheesecake only has a small amount of blueberries on top. Every time I go to the Philippines, I have to go to Conti's - it's like being at home!

The classics compose of favorites that will never go away. It's food that you will always remember, a staple that will remain indefinitely. It will never require revisions or any additions for it is already seen as close to perfection. Take for example the classic butter cake from Vargas Kitchen. It's been around for many years now and it has withstood the test of time and magnitude of our trendy food scene- and all within reason. Nothing out there comes close to perfection except perhaps the most buttery cake in all of Manila. Tips: 1. First-timers? Start off with the Vargas butter cake then proceed with their brazo de mercedes. 2. You can also buy food good for a party. I highly recommend their bacalao and Illongo pork chicken adobo.
The butter cake, I won't ask how many sticks of butter are in this.

Laugh all you want but yes I'm seriously going to be writing about how much I love their garlic…read morefried rice. So perhaps its great skill (and... MSG? Haha) that makes their garlic fried rice taste sooo good. But then again, I personally find it pretty challenging to make a great plate of garlic sinangag. First there's "how old" you really want your rice to be, and how dry/moist it must be to begin with. I prefer fried rice that's a bit "sabog" rather than moist/sticky. And, how to make those perfectly brown garlic bits without burning them? All of these are too complicated for my meager kitchen skills. So what's suitable for vegans and great to pair with the garlic fried rice? They have a stellar mapo tofu dish (omit meat, chicken powder, you know the drill) that just complements the rice in both taste and texture. Also, do get their garlic stir-fried broccoli--it's perfectly cooked, still firm with the right amount of crunch.
