Years ago, SM North didn't have any buffets (except Kamay Kainan), much less Japanese buffets. So we'd go straight to West Avenue, which is just 5 minutes away, for up-to-sawa food.
PROS: Before Yakimix and the countless other Japanese buffets now emerging, there was only one place where you could get your unlimited sashimi fix - and that is Saisaki. My mom loves going to West Avenue just to eat as much Japanese food as she can. We'd make our way through their buffet with sukiyaki first, then sashimi, an assortment of sushi and maki (at least one of each kind!), and then their fried rice and whatever assortment of meat we feel like eating. Maybe teppanyaki, or teriyaki, maybe some tempura too.
CONS: I couldn't honestly find anything wrong with unlimited Japanese food, but I'm just matakaw. Of course, if you come back again and again, you can find that you can get fed up by the lack of variety of their offerings.
TL;DR: Saisaki is the classic Japanese buffet that doesn't get old and would always be there for you and your cravings. read more
