We loved our room and the old world charm decor. Although some aspects of the room (furniture) seemed outdated-it was cozy, spacious, and the so comfortable. Our favorite part of our room-- was the way our window opened up the postcard panoramic view of the Rialto Bridge and Canal. Gorgeous sunset views! Staff: Welcoming, friendly, and very helpful in recommending dining distinctions and places to see.

Jeff Bezos got married in Venice, the original hotel rented was not far from here but it was mobbed by protesters so he moved farther from here where the action was to an unknown location. The breakfast included was ayce to die for! I wish somebody told me about this hotel I stayed in Venice 7 times the 1st 6x was a waste of time booked by agents who didn't have my best interest at heart. 5 solid stars

We stayed here for 4 days while in Venice. The room sleeps 4 people comfortably. The decor was a mix of elegance and antique. Our room had two windows that you can open and people watch from or just to leave it open for fresh air to come in at night while you sleep. They also serve daily continental breakfast which was pretty delicious. The staff here are really nice and friendly. The Antico Doge was a real find.

The bathroom got a bit loud at night (we faced a courtyard, rather than the canal) but I didn't notice any noise in the main room, and it didn't keep me up at night. The room had a private bathroom with a bidet (can't say how it worked, but if it's important to you, it's there) and a nice shower, and they provided a 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel, and ample towels. The breakfast had good coffee (cappuccino, hot chocolate, pretty much anything you wanted, they could make), with a limited amount of mostly sweet pastries and fruit. I'd stay again, if I returned to Venice, as its location was near both the water bus station, a private taxi mooring, and several restaurants.

On the second day of my stay I was cleaning my camera gear and got a last second call for a business meeting. I ran. When I got back my room was made the cameras lenses etc were neatly stacked on the desk. The ladies at the front desk were nice and accommodating. No surprises or extra fees. The hotel is strategically located at one of the ferry stop or if you decide to walk from the train station, it only takes you about 15 minutes. Every morning, we got woken up by the aroma of fresh croissant / bread coming from the kitchen. We totally miss that. It makes us so eager to go down to grab their free breakfast. Their breakfast selection was well rounded. Overall, we enjoy our stay here at Hotel Tre Archi.

We are young…read moretravelers without a huge budget, and we were thrilled to find this charming place for a decent price. It's located in a tiny alleyway that might look a bit fishy, but don't let that deceive you! The people working there were all super friendly, they helped us in any way they could (from a broken zipper to finding where we needed to go). We even got a better room (free upgrade) for one night because it wasn't booked anyway that night, which was great. Breakfast was the same every day but there was enough variety in it, and the little rooftop terrace is super cozy for late night wine drinking :). We shared a bathroom with 1 other person, but we did find that our bathroom was often occupied by guests from one floor below us? Those rooms all have their own bathrooms, but we occasionally had to wait half an hour to pee because some dude with his own private bathroom was occupying our shower. So if there is one tip I can give Locanda Antica, it's to maybe use a separate lock for the shared bathrooms and only give that key or that code to the people who actually sleep in the corresponding rooms. Apart from that: 10/10, would totally recommend for a real homey, authentic and comfortable experience, very close to everything worth seeing in Venice! Thanks so much!

Or maybe you are new to Venezia and want someone a little more local in flavor. Maria 3536 very well may be your choice. I was greeted at the steps of the canal by the owner of this B&B, Giovanni, who is such a nice fellow to meet and know! IN fact during my stay I met his wife (an architect) and his son. We even shared I-phone pics of our kitties and he told me about the law banning cats from outdoors. He was full of information about Venezia. The location is perfect - it is less than a mile from Riato and close to the "bus" station (code for any mode of transportation the city offers). It is more of a residential area than a tourist trap, though you can certainly get your holiday trinkets very nearby. Maria's 3 rooms are on the second level (primo in italiano) of the three-story centuries-old building. The stairs are concrete and the handrail is a little jiggly. Lights to the passageways turn on automatically. There is a large solid door that opens into a funky little kitchen area, then to the rooms. My room was amazing! It had two very large windows that opened over the canal. I left the windows open throughout my stay but did close the old very cool shutters at night to shut out any noise (and there was little). It had a massive and beautiful wardrobe, a comfy king-sized bed, a one-of-a-kind desk and a flat-screen TV. The ceilings were beautiful wood and about 14' tall with a lovely chandelier. The bathroom was very typical. The amenities were full-sized bottles of shampoo and body wash - just like staying at a friend's house. The room was spotless. In the kitchen area the full-sized fridge was loaded with yogurts, juices and such. There was fruit on the counter and every day Giovanni set up a spread of freshly-bought Italian pastries! As a welcome gift he presents a lovely bottle of prosecco from his family's vineyards. A very nice touch, and wine glasses are right there on the counter. Once he gives a tour, you are handed a set of keys that really make you feel like a family member. One is for the street door, one for the door into the common area and one for your room. He will show you how to jiggle one of the doors just so and your room key looks like it is for a castle door. Again, you will feel like a guest in a dream. Giovanni speaks very good English and can offer lots of ideas for meals and sites off the typical tourist maps. He fussed at the taxi service I used and said he could have gotten it for a 1/3 of the price so you my want to let him arrange your transfers. There are also umbrellas for your use. I felt so Venezian walking the canals with my non-fresh-off-of-Amazon umbrella practicing my Italian in the seafood and vegetable markets. It was a lovely stay and Giovanni made it wonderful with his great personality and his help for this single traveler. The rates are very reasonable, about $150 a night. I had a blast!
