So, living in California and trying to communicate with rental properties in Italy 9 hours ahead was a huge task. I finally came upon a representative, Annalisa, at Views on Venice and was able to rent an apartment for my daughter and 2 roommates for 4 months. From the start, Annalisa and the other staff members at Views on Venice that I dealt with were first rate and always very professional. Probably, the one thing I appreciated most was their quick response to all my concerns, as well as my daughter's concerns during her stay there. The apartment was as advertised and the girls loved it. We had visited our daughter during Thanksgiving break and had rented another property through a different service. We experienced many difficulties and really appreciated how attentive the team at Views on Venice was compared to a similar agency in Venice. My daughter could always count on the staff and was given an emergency number that could be called at anytime. Just to make a point of how above and beyond their service was during my daughter's stay, I will mention a brief story. On the day my daughter and her roommates were leaving to come home, my daughter left her backpack with important personal items on the water dock. She didn't find out until she was at the airport 40 minutes away. She called Annalisa, a Views on Venice rep., who went and found the backpack. She held it and kept it safe until a family friend visiting picked it up. Views on Venice is definitely a reputable company that you can trust, and I would recommend them for your stay.

My family was a little concerned over this pick of mine over the standard hotel room but it was a home run. The walls are thick so the Wi-Fi isn't that great and you can't get Netflix in the master suite of the two bedroom called the Casanova. The payoff is living in an 800 year old building located right on the Grand Canal which is not a far walk from any of the sights such as San Marco square or the Rialto bridge. This place was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and I am the hero for finding it.

Once a wealthy…read moremerchant's villa in the merchant part of the city, it is now a great place to launch your Venice vacation from. We took a private water taxi from the airport for 120 Euro and it dropped our family of four right off at the San Samuel dock and the small campo where the apartment is located. The manager met us and we walked through 3 doors to get to our apartment the first 150 years old with skeleton key and the other two more modern and much more secure. The last door is like a bank vault...very secure. The Cassandra apartment has a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, pull out sofa bed in living room, 3 large windows that open to the grand canal, and two windows that open to a beautiful garden that you don't have access to but is still beautiful to look at. This place was the highlight of our trip and we really felt special staying here. Some areas of Venice are very crowded with 1000s of tourists. This apartment is not far from those areas but is very quiet and secluded. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We really enjoyed it.
