They provide plenty of recommendations for restaurants / activities as well. I took one of their recommendations and they didn't disappoint. When I arrived it had been down-pouring for hours and the staff were able to handle it perfectly. Breakfast is a sit down experience with all other lodgers and I had an incredible time. I met some amazing people from all over the world. And the food was delicious! Our breakfast host, Delores or Dee, was so kind and attentive. Truly an incredible experience!

The owner recommended this place. They had one suite available for our Sunday to Sunday stay and we took it. This suite has a second bedroom that we didn't need, but our bedroom is spacious, has a window mounted AC and the bathroom has a shower, not a tub. The bed is comfortable. There is no TV in this room, but we didn't miss it. Donnell is a gracious host as is her staff. Breakfasts are delicious and filling. There is adequate free parking. There are no door locks but there are surface bolts and the house is locked at night. There is no foot traffic or street parking and the site is quiet and secure. This is a charming place that we hope we can return to.

I am sure they are lovely. I am writing this review as someone who performed a wedding ceremony here, drank some wine, and ate some food. With that in mind, we are gathered here today to write this review. The Truss Room is named after the large trussed roof. At least that is what I guessed based on the name and the view of the roof. It is one large room that had the venue/reception area on one side and the bar/food area on the other. The wedding had around 150 guests (I am guessing). There was ample food and drinks for everyone. As an officiant, the acoustics were great but I am a loud dude so if you are a whisperer, get you a microphone. The food was very good and people seemed happy. A memory book with 15 page of edited pics only $125 and gives you all pic on Dropbox! If you want lil wedding to a big wedding they have a package for you and works with you on changes to there packages! Our honeymoon will be in summer so we decided to stay the night . LCM is a 5star bed & breakfast. I also booked private dinner for us . Although I thought price of dinner was a lil high $170 when I booked it . I was wrong & have to admit it was worth every $ . I have to be completely honest it was the best meal we have ever ate! I though it was better than Mr. Lester's and Nick thought it was better than Ruth Chris. When we had enough of the noise we open the door to leave till the noise stops and we are blocked in by someone in the attic I assumed working on AC because after squeezing by and leaving then returning, we walk in room and the temperature in room is much higher than the rest of the house, it was Hot, we tried calling the number provided and got voicemail we left message but never received a call back so we did not enjoy our first night sleeping, the next morning we were supposed to get breakfast in bed and did not so we got up and we to breakfast, breakfast was just ok I guess we ask the lady about the AC she said the changed the thermostat the day before so we thought that was a good thing but nope we enjoyed a second night of sleep in a hot room I do not like to sweat we I sleep I don't think anyone does but on a good note the lady that served breakfast the day before did apologize because we were supposed to have breakfast in bed the morning before and brought us breakfast that morning. Oh also when we paid for the romances package and read rose petals on the bed, that sounded nice, but we were disappointed to see the petals were fake. We did make the best of it since it was our first weekend as Husband and Wife, I pray the start of our marriage does not cause a chain reaction. ,other than those issues the house is beautiful bed was not so comfortable but to see it the room was nice. We stayed in the downstairs suite which had a ridiculously, wonderfully huge bathroom, our own sitting room and cozy feather beds. Kolleen, The owner, a font of local history and information, gave us an enthusiastic welcome complete with wine, maps and local lore. She had the house relocated to her property in six pieces. It had one owner, previously, whose pictures and writing can be seen on the suite mantle. She also has some of the woman's lace dresses hanging in the wardrobe. The breakfast was eggs benedict, with some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had, and she even made a special crawdad sauce for me because I'd never had it before. We loved our stay here and if we ever come back through this way, we'll stay here again. Cozy, friendly and welcoming.

Definitely not a hotel chain kind of place. The rooms are spacious from what I saw. We had two double beds. The bathroom was large and there was a big tub. It sits right on Bayou Amy and you can watch alligators swimming by from the porch. There aren't many outlets for you to plug your electronics in. They're mostly behind the bed. When we went to try to put the plug behind there, the headboard fell off of the wall. It was just barely hanging on this piece of cork board... The problem is that the walls are super thin. You can hear everything from the room next to you; everything they're saying and watching on the tv. So if you're unlucky and are next to people who stay up late...we'll you aren't sleeping. You can also here the music from the bands playing in the club next door. There are doors that attach the rooms, so I guess if you have a large party you can visit each other. When we left for the day, we didn't put the do not disturb sign on our door, but they still didn't come to make the beds. The free breakfast is just a couple of cereal options, coffee, orange juice and an assortment of packaged pastries you can choose from. The craziest thing about this place is the cats. The parking lot is completely crawling with cats, like 30 of them. Everyone tries to feed them so they stick around. They're very friendly and sweet, but be careful because they might try to follow you inside. It is convenient that there's a bar and a restaurant attached. There is a lot of construction right when you get off of the interstate, so be careful that you're GPS doesn't try to reroute you like it tried to do to us.
