There is a lot I can write but basically if you are doing a renovation, just reach out to Chad! You will be so happy with his level of service, communication, quality of work, speed and even price! Plus he is very friendly and a funny guy! Chad helped us with a major kitchen renovation which involved removing a load bearing wall, some plumbing, gas and lots of electrical work. Other than the electrical, he worked on the project himself with some occasional helpers. The process took about a month and a half. He was the only contractor that we reached out to who did their due diligence to evaluate the project and gave us a detailed scope of work plus his price was very reasonable and he is licensed so it was a no brainer. Thoroughout the process he had stuck to the scope of work and did not charge extra. We did ask for extra work and he was very reasonable with accommodating those and the extra charges. Renovations are expensive, time consuming and stressful. Chad made it as stress free as it could possibly be. He was so helpful on coming up with solutions, guiding us through decisions and helping in any way possible. He took pride in his work and didn't stop until it met his standards. I can't say how their work is because I could never get Chad to respond. After coming out to view the project, i asked him how the estimate was coming. He said he hadn't even started on it. I then asked him when he expected the estimate to be completed. He did not reply. After 2 more texts over 3 more days, i still did not get any response. Finally after i told him that he lost us as clients he simply replied, "Good luck". Those are the facts. I wont comment further. read more

Chad has worked on multiple projects in our home and everyone has been nothing short of excellent. He first replaced an interior door. And relatively simple job, but he was meticulous in his work and left the work space cleaner than when he started. We then hired him for an exterior remodel. We added hardy board shingles to the front of our home and did some repairs to various spots around windows and the garage under-hang. Not only was Chad's work outstanding, he was a big help in finding a look that we wanted for our home. He made good suggestions that only a contractor might think of. Most recently we hired Chad for a major kitchen remodel. We replaced all cabinetry, lighting, windows, countertops, widened a couple of doorways and expanded and reconfigured our island. Chad's work is superior, as usual and his experience and expertise helped us create our dream kitchen. His bid was fair and his timeline was accurate. Its hard to find somebody willing to do small miscellaneous projects that are beyond the skills of a handyman but too small for most contractors to do. I was hitting a brick wall on how I was going to get things done without accepting a full room remodel which is what a lot of places seem to want. Chad to the rescue. Super friendly, totally the kind of guy that you'd get a beer with but also very professional and detail oriented. Went out of his way to move my living room furniture back at the end of every day so that we could still watch tv. Had an issue with one of the recessed lights he installed (not his fault, just bad QC from the manufacturer) and he came out to troubleshoot and fix it right away. We hired Chad to gut and remodel our master bathroom, which was out of date, dark, needed plumbing work and a wall needed to be moved to get a vanity and sink that was inside the master bedroom inside the master bath instead. Plus, he needed to install a cove finish on the ceiling to match the rest of the house. How did it go? Very, very well. Chad was incredibly clean, the new construction blends in with the rest of the house perfectly, the tile work is meticulous, the plumbing and electrical is all very solid and there's nowhere in bathroom that the fit and finish was less than top notch. I've worked with other contractors before where the did work that was good enough that I was willing to live with the flaws: uneven construction, uneven tile work, janky, but working, electrical and plumbing that seemed to be just holding together on a promise. I've also worked with contractors that left the whole house a complete mess when they were done. Chad's work was the exact opposite on all counts. Chad is very personable and makes sure to communicate any issues as they come up and gave us solid input as to how to resolve them. Chad is also very helpful in terms of making suggestions when we needed them. So, what's the catch? Well, Chad does almost all the work himself so he'll take longer to complete a job than contractors that have a crew. He was very up front about pointing that out before we signed the contract so this wasn't a surprise. The upside to this is that his bid, at least in our case, was very reasonable. In the end, we've got another bathroom that'll need work soon and plan to bring him back for that. We've also already referred him to neighbors and family. So keep in mind that I'm telling people who know where we live to hire Chad and not just random strangers on the internet. read more

We hired Chad to install French Sliding Doors in our bedroom where there was only a solid wall previously. He did an AMAZING job! From the first time that I met with Chad he was thorough and explained what would need to be done to complete the job properly. He followed up with a very detailed email with all of the job details (including lighting, painting and all the finishing details) as well as a very fair estimate of cost. When it was time to start the job Chad was extremely neat and organized. He was able to install the door quickly and he stuck to the estimate that he originally gave. Chad Tan is a really great contractor! We first used his services for our home we bought in 2011, that was bank owned. We wanted to get a lot done before we moved into the home. The first "remodel" included a 5 foot french door, moving interior walls, putting in all new windows, closet doors, etc. We bought in mid Apr. and were able to move in June 1st. Chad is a very hard worker and does great work. He lets you bounce ideas off of him about projects and will give you reasonable quotes. We also had him put in new crown molding and base boards and new interior doors. We used him again for repair on our exterior trim before we painted. Then we remodeled our guest bath, which he completed in 3 weeks, tile, frame less shower doors and all! Now he's helping us with the master bath. Based on the reviews Chad was a potential fit (except electrical). Timing was important because we had to be able to use one bathroom while both were being demo'd and remodeled.
