My husband and I hired Carlos to hang two very large chandeliers from our 20ft high ceilings. We received quotes from a few people but we ultimately decided to go with him, and we are happy we did. One of the chandeliers ended up being a bigger project than anticipated, as there were a ton of crystals and intricate parts. Carlos and his partner spent all day working to get both lights done. They even figured out a way to adjust the chandelier height for me after it was already hung, after I decided I liked it higher. It was a big deal because the light was very heavy. Carlos was also able to fix faulty wiring in a few of our light switches and rewire a three-way light switch that wasn't working. All in all, they were very professional, skilled and efficient. This morning, without any particular rhyme or reason, different outlets and appliances in my home either did or did not have power. I called C. Bates Electric and Carlos right away began troubleshooting the problem over the phone. He asked me to turn on my clothes dryer with the heat setting on, which made the symptoms go away immediately! But they came back as soon as I turned off the dryer or ran it without the heat setting. So, Carlos' brother Carmonie came over to investigate further. Within a few minutes of his prompt arrival, I happened to mention additional symptoms that had cropped up in recent years in connection with what I thought was a completely separate issue. But he told me that my comments actually helped him diagnose the cause of both issues. Within a few minutes, he had everything fixed! I had expected that these odd symptoms might lead to panel box repairs or costly re-wiring, but everything worked out way better than I could ever have expected. I couldn't believe my luck because: 1) Bates Electric was able to skillfully resolve both sets of problems; 2) this was all done so quickly; 3) the work was covered by the very reasonable first-hour flat rate that I had been quoted over the phone; and 4) it was all backed by their two-year warranty.
