C & K Clock - Grandfather clock - Clock Repair Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

Was referred to C&K Clock by another company, and I'm glad they did! We needed to get our two 40+ year old chiming clocks working again. They responded to our need the next day and repaired 2 clocks - one a grandfather and another wall clock. Both had had issues for a number of years. He disassembled, cleaned, calibrated and restored them to operational efficiency. Fast, professional and honest, with a passion that shows! Extremely fair in his pricing and stayed right in his estimate too! read more

I contacted Curt on 12/22/2025 after just moving into our New Sparks, Nevada Home and was Pleasantly Surprised that he would be able to Work on My Grandfather Clock That Day ! I know this is my second Yelp review of C and K clocks but I couldn't contain myself. A friend of mine gave me a gorgeous cuckoo clock. It was in need of some repair. I knew exactly who I was going to call. C and K clocks is honest, extremely knowledgable, and I love that Kurt gives you "training" on going forward. He doesn't just hand the clock back to you and you have to figure it out. I am so grateful that we have him in Reno/Sparks. If you have clocks that need repair, C and K is the place for you. Kurt will work around your schedule and call if there are any changes. Thank you so much, C and K clocks. I love my new cuckoo clock. It brings happiness to our home. read more

We had 2 clocks that weren't working ( One of them was in pieces as I was trying to repair) Took them to C&K and they gave me a estimate to repair which I agreed to. When we went to pick them up the bill was less than the estimate, how often does that happen. We are very happy with the work that was done. They always replied to our messages in a timely (no pun) manner . Have another wall clock that we will take in. Great people. Thank you, Scott Timmons Fallon Nv read more

I have 28 yr old Howard Miller mantle clock that I paid $250 I have rebuilt 2 1/2 years. A day ago the hour chime made a loud thud. I looked inside and one of the chimes was bent and dislodged. I found C&K yelp and read the reviews. I was impressed and called Curt. He told me he had a idea of what could have happened and said to bring the clock. I took it to his shop and explained about the rebuild a couple of years ago. Last night he called to say that my clock was repaired and ready to go. He told me that my clock had all the original parts. It had never been rebuit! So I paid a clock repair shop that use to be on Virginia St. $250 for a cleaning if that was even done! Both Curt and his son were so informative and helpful. His prices are very reasonable. The repair completed and my clock returned in one day! Exceptional service. I highly recommend C&K. read more

Due to social distancing, we have been working from home. One thing on my list of "to get accomplished" was our clocks. My husband had inherited a grandmother clock and I had two clocks that were extremely old. I wasn't even sure my two clocks would ever work. I called C and K Clock and Curt was here that day. He worked diligently and carefully to restore ALL three clocks to working condition. The afternoon was very interesting. It is truly a lost art. It makes my heart so happy to hear the chimes - like deceased family members are checking on us. Thank you, Curt! I thought I had sold an old cuckoo clock at a garage sale. It was given to me by my deceased mother. My husband had it stored in the garage. Curt took the cuckoo clock to his shop and is going to try to repair it. If it isn't within a "doable" cost, he is going to tell me honestly. I will always use C and K Clock. Curt is trustworthy and a true perfectionist. read more

C & K Clock - Great grandfather's clock circa 1880s. - Clock Repair Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

I just inherited a beautiful Ridgeway grandfather clock from my grandfather. I called C&K to service the clock as it wasn't working at all. The chimes didn't work. The pendulum wasn't swinging. It was a dead clock. The response time to my voicemail was very quick and two short days later Kurt came to my residence to fix the clock. He was professional, kind, and reasonably priced. Within 45 minutes the clock was working perfectly. I am so excited to see the everything back to working order and to hear it chime once again. read more

I moved to Atlanta this summer. Found a reputable clock company that fixed the clock in less than two hours. I mentioned my experience with C&K and they just shook their head and mentioned it sounded like laziness as it was an easy fix. Don't walk. Runaway from this business. read more

C & K Clock - Clock Repair Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

We just moved to the Reno area from Austin. We had our Howard Miller Grandfather clock packed up (weights and Pendulum) for the move. I needed to have the clock reassembled and in working order so I read C&K reviews and took my chances. Curt was here the same day and did a service and put our clock back together in perfect working order. My husband said it is good to hear those chimes again!! Curt was so very nice and professional and was so good as to teach me about the workings of my clock that we have had for 20 yrs and I never knew these things!!! I highly recommend this company! Price is right too!! Jan K read more

I had a old clock that I got when my mother passed away and I wanted it to make the chimes that I remember when I was growing up. So I took it to C&K to get it fixed. They are nice enough but not very professional. Kurt was supposed to meet us at his house, but he had his son do it. When we did drop it off his son was nice enough but didn't give a claim check or his card or anything, just said "We'll call you when it is ready". Three weeks go by and we didn't hear anything so I called him (Kurt) and he said he hadn't looked at it yet but he would that night. He called me later that evening and said he couldn't fix it, and that he spent 2 hours on it and it couldn't be fixed and that we owed him $50!! Again he wasn't there when we went to pick up the clock but his son was and said we tried to glue it but it didn't work, "Sorry". We paid the $50 but didn't get a receipt or anything. Again, not very professional. read more

I searched for clock repair in Reno and selected the Yelp site. When I read the reviews for the listed businesses, I was not sure about C&K Clock. The next morning I got on the Howard Miller site and saw he was listed as the factory service provider for this area, so I decided to give him a chance. I scheduled him to come to my home to service the clock the next day. He arrived promptly and within an hour, had my clock working. I had overwound the clock weight and it hadn't been cleaned since 1983 and not oiled since 2012. I was very happy with the professionalism and will use him again in the future in the event the clock stops working. He made notes with the clock info so that if, for example, the chime stops working, he can order the part and perform the service in one trip, saving us both time and money. read more

We just moved into the northern Nevada area. I inherited my mom's 5' Grandfather clock. It isn't a big, expensive heirloom clock but it has family memories - remembering the day my dad gave it to my mom. C&K replaced broken parts, cleaned it and got it working again after 20 years of silence. He spent time showing me how to transport the clock back to Minden, how to take care of it. Special, individual attention - cared about the clock as if it belonged in a museum and new it was special to me. What great people and workmanship and very reasonable price. read more

Our grandfather clock was in need of service since we've moved three times. C& K Clock was great. Curt responded quickly and was able to come to our house within a couple of days. The service was great and we're very happy to have this special family heirloom running again. read more

Curt was beyond helpful. He fixed not only the two he came to my house for, but also 4 other smaller clocks that were around! He's so kind, so thoughtful, and knows all there is to know about clocks. He also fixed the grandfather clock at my office, and we love having it run again after 7 years (we never thought it'd run again, mind you). He made sure it'll run for a long time after his fix, and showed me a few things to ensure it runs smoothly. He had all the parts needed, and truly has a passion for what he does. If you don't choose this guy for your clocks, you're doing yourself a disservice! 10/10 would recommend! read more
