Please don't use this company. They charged $317.55 to cut out a small drywall section to inspect an AC line leak. Was told by them it's the condensing line leak but turned out a pcv line issue. The cut should have been made from the top section (source of leak) but they chose the super easy area not even 20" cut. Secondly, their dispatcher said $79 of the dispatch fee would be credited back to the total fee but their technician only gave 50% ($39.50). I am in disbelieve they got away with $317.55 for simply having spent 20 minutes and diagnosed the wrong problem. Watch out for their next easy target! read more

Around the same time my A/C stopped working I was having plumbing issues in my home. My house has three bathrooms and the bathroom at the front of my house would start to flood whenever you took a shower in it. I am not a handy man by any means... for me a clogged drain means dump a bottle of Draino and forget about it... I did that... five times and it only got worse. Ok yup something is wrong. No biggie, I got two other bathrooms to shower in... still I wanted to know what the problem is and fix it but it wasn't an emergency. I went on Angie's List and got a prepaid service and received a call from them in a day. I scheduled them a week after as I was dealing with my a/c issues. Plumber came... and after working on it he found it has been some debris which was progressively creating a clogging issue every time I used it. Three words for you: TURN AND RUN! C&D was sent to my house at the request of my home owners insurance policy. The goal was to simply inspect my pipes to clarify a claim that was pending for my kitchen. Direct result of their visit: detrimental Category 3 water damage (poop water) resulting in the loss and removal of walls, fixtures, floors and furniture. Expert plumbers? Please. Expert numb skulls is more appropriate. Issue #1: During their visit to perform what's called a "jetting" of my main drainpipe they opted to remove the toilet in my half bath. In the end they didn't even need to do this nor did they use the access. But, Chris - an owner as I understand it - must have left his Customer Service skills at home that morning because he had a horrible attitude when he stormed out of my bathroom to inform me of a $500 bill I was now facing. Chris (abruptly) "Your toilet flange is broken." Me "Excuse me, what!? Nothing was broken before you pulled my toilet!" Chris "It's your problem. I could have just not told you and put the toilet back." (Because THAT'S the right way to handle such situations.) Me "What's that going to run?" Chris "About $500. But I'm not doing it for you today." Wonderful, I didn't contract you and I didn't ask that you pull my toilet (which wasn't used in the end anyway) but now I've got a $500 bill on my lap? Ridiculous. They put the toilet back "good enough" for the time being and finished jetting my drain line from the clean-out in the front yard instead. The real joys happened a few days after they left though. As a result of the subsequent clog, sewage flood and my plumber rectifying the issue we know that this is what happened... Issue #2: Chris should have known by looking at my 35-year-old - but solid and in-tact - cast iron pipe that jetting was a poor idea. If jetting was still to be performed he should have at least turned down the water pressure to prevent scaling. But Chris has an attitude and wants to collect his fee from my insurance company so he proceeds with reckless abandon. Consequences be damned. In short, his over-aggressive jetting caused metal scales to break off from the interior of my pipe and build up to a point where the joyful tenants of the drainpipe - urine, feces pieces, toilet paper, grey water, black water, etc - to clog and back flow into my home creating a massive amount of damage. So not only does Chris have a shitty attitude, but he has evidenced a complete disregard for plumbing best practices or the home owner's interest. I will NEVER allow this knucklehead or his company to set foot on my property and my recommendation to you is the same. You may very well walk away with a bigger issue - and bill - than you bargained for. read more

I purchased a prepaid coupon from Angie's list. The same day I received a phone call from the company asking me when I would like to schedule the appointment. The day of the appointment, Angel (the plumber), showed up to my house on time. He was clean, professional and courteous. He took the time to answer all of my questions and he even asked me which way I would like the spigot to face (most plumbers would of just replaced it and wouldn't of given me an option). I highly recommend Angel and C&D Plumbing. The experience was pleasant from start to finish and the price was fair. read more

Water heater broke and flooded out my garage. Called C & D Plumbing who came out with in the hour and replaced my water heater for a fair price. From the office to the technician they were all great. The technician even helped me clean up the water from my garage and move valuable items so they would not get damaged. I woke up one morning and the only word I can use to describe the way I felt when I walked into my kitchen is; helpless. Water was everywhere and I had no clue as to what to do about it. As usual my husband was out of town, so fixing my dilemma was left up to me. Obviously I knew I needed a plumber, after all as I stood in my kitchen, I stood in ankle deep water. My neighbor had told me about C&D plumbing last month when she had her bathroom remodeled, so I decided to give them a shot. Bobby from C&D showed up at my door and instantly I felt better. On time and courteous was just for starters. By the time Bobby left my home, not only was my problem solved, but he also left my hero. Thank you so much. Wow. Reading the previous review - this is like déjà vu. This plumber was also hired by my insurance to inspect a broken pipe. Their first video "wasn't good enough" so they had to do a jetting of the pipes. How convenient - they needed to do a $2000 job at the expense of my insurance to diagnose something someone else already diagnosed. They only took two weeks to get me on the schedule for it and another week to read their video though, after an initial one week delay to read their first video. These guys see an insurance contract and see nothing but dollar signs. They added six weeks and $3000 to the cost of repairing my house. They then told my insurer that the pipe wasn't cracked but had a nail in it. That being said the picture of the nail did not correspond to the pipe being broken. And of course, they wouldn't release the video. If you are unfortunate enough to have these guys come out as part of your insurance contract, get someone else. It goes without saying I wouldn't use them voluntarily. read more

This is an absolutely horrible company with a hostile owner who will threaten to kick you out of his office and call the cops on you instead of listening to facts and reason. My water heater recently broke and so I called around to get quotes. I had C&D Plumbing come to my residence to do an on-site quote. The plumber, Angel, showed up and started sawing away at the pipes. I stopped him and told him he was only there for a quote. The plumber called the company and realized there was a miscommunication and apologized for the mistake. He also offered to take my old water heater outside which I was ok with. The next day my insurance adjuster came out. When the water heater broke it caused a flood in my house. The insurance agent told me I needed to get a letter from the plumbing company stating they removed the old water heater. I contacted the company, told them the situation with the insurance adjuster, and explained that all I needed was a letter from them stating they removed the old unit. Their office staff said I'd have it by the end of the week. End of the week came, and still no letter. I called back and they told me I would have to pay $75 of the letter that explains the plumbing company's mistake. I went to their office to speak to them in person. Their owner came out, wouldn't let me speak, and threatened to kick me out and call the cops on me when I tried to explain to him that it was his company that made the original mistake and that all I was looking for was a letter. He didn't care. He continued to encroach into my personal space. I eventually left after realizing I wouldn't get anywhere with him. I've reached out to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and to the Better Business Bureau. No one should do business with this company. read more
