Unreliable service. I was with them for nearly 3 years. The first year was good, but downhill years later. They missed a pick up date by 12 days! If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences with C&D Disposal, and I'm sharing the full timeline so others know what to expect. Timeline of Issues: * Week of Sept 7: Our Tuesday pickup never happened -- yet the entire neighborhood's trash was collected, including the cans placed right next to ours. * I called that same day and was told a truck would return by 6 PM. No one showed. * Sept 7-11: I called every single day, was repeatedly told "we'll send someone," and still no pickup. * Sept 12: After nearly a week with no service or resolution, I canceled and switched to Republic Services. * Sept 16: C&D finally picked up our trash -- four days after cancellation -- but left their bins behind. * It took another five days and a follow-up call before they came back for their cans. * Post-Cancellation: I then received a bill for September despite canceling before the due date and despite C&D failing to provide service. When I called today to ask why I was being billed, I spoke with Yuri, who was extremely condescending and dismissive. She talked over me, relied on incorrect internal notes, and showed zero interest in acknowledging their repeated mistakes or poor service. You get exactly what you pay for with this company: cheap rates, unreliable service, and customer service that is as bad as the trash they're supposed to pick up. C&D advertises "free recycling," but from what I saw, the recycling is not separated -- it all goes into the same truck, making their claim questionable at best. Switching to Republic Services was the best decision. They show up, they're professional, and they value customers -- something C&D clearly does not. I agree with Richard C. "The cheapest option is not always the best option". In my case, I don't know if it was the company managers or the driver who was the problem. Maybe it was the driver's supervisor (Who lied and said my trash was picked up when it was not) I don't know for sure. Either way, I am sick and tired of having to call C&D to come out to pick-up my trash. I should not have to reach out to them with the same issue month after month. After numerous complaints and requests to them for a trash pickup, I have not received an answer. This last week Supervisor's Juan and Anna promised to help me and get a driver out to my home for my twice a week pick-up. This company failed me again and did not keep their end of the bargain. My bill is paid up and I will be requesting a credit for services paid and not rendered. While I am writing this review, my trash can is sitting in my driveway with two-week old trash and no hint of a driver stopping by. I am finally done with C&D. If I could give them a negative rating it would be a -10. They don't come on the days they are supposed to come, and when I call I'm on hold indefinitely until I get a call dropped. When I do get to speak to someone the just say I'll put in a missed pick up. Not good enough!!! I've been trying to get service for our new house. Gave them my number on 3 separate days because their phone was busy but has an option to be called back. It's been 2 weeks and I'm really glad that we decided to go with a different company--if this is how difficult it is to set up new service, I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to try to cancel service or resolve an issue! I have been trying to get a can replacement because they destroyed the one I have, I called them over a week ago and they said they were going to replace it on this last Monday, it's Wednesday now and no can, it was supposed to be here 2 days ago, called again they changed it to Tuesday and it didn't show up, called them again today wed and they said it will be here today and still nothing!! The cheapest option is not always the best option. They absolutely suck, late all the time, the trash trucks themself look like they are on the last leg. Very unreliable and the company does not care, don't believe me call and hear the attitude for yourself. Save your money and take your trash to the dump for yourself its free anyway. Well the saga of this company is spinning further into complete chaos. Since my last review they have missed my trash cans twice. When I called them I was told they would pick them up the next day.finally they came 3 days later. This is after I called them back 2 times. I called back for a credit on my bill and was told NO! Can there be a more unreliable trash service in Yuma Co (or anywhere) than C&D Disposal ? Out of the last seven weeks my trash has been picked up twice on assigned day (including holiday makeup). Despite repeated calls and assurances that someone will be around tomorrow, it has often not been picked up until the he recycle truck comes and that is often a day late. My call logs report that the average call to report miss to makes six minutes. For this performance they've given themselves a 20% raise, unannounced of course. I couldn't think of a worse company than C&D or CR&R. Not only did they fail to deliver trash cans on the correct date, but they also continue to deliver them even after I canceled my account. The most frustrating part is that they refuse to pick them up. I've called 3-4 times this week, and I keep getting the same dismissive response. You're supposed to pick up trash, not act like it. DO NOT USE!!! I tried them for a month when we moved here and they missed all but one pick-up. Cancelled, went with Republic and couldn't be happier with them! My mother used them for many years. When her service was cancelled they confirmed the last pick-up date 2/28 (same as billing cycle) but could not pick up the cans until 3/4. They issued new bill on 3/1 (because they said we were still an "active account" since they had not picked up the cans yet). They said we owed for the few days we had the cans waiting for them to pick-up ($2.00+), but they don't bill for less than $5 and if we didn't pay they would add interest until we did pay or they would turn it over to the tax authorities by June. This trash company could care less about common courtesy or respect! They pick up 2 days a week at 4:45am and leave trash everywhere after dumping! I've sent a complaint to corporate and that does nothing so unfortunately we are forced to hear the rumbling and dumping on Monday and Wednesday when we don't even have them for our trash service....I'm shocked that anyone else does! Bad service and completely unreliable with every excuse in the book why they missed pickup day. Trash has actually been showing up recently however recycle would only come 10% of the time. I actually have to put my recycle bin out the same time as trash bin because the trash guy will sometimes pick up both. I'd I don't the recycle will barely get picked up and I've gone as long as a month without them getting the recycle. I will say the customer service agents are very nice although nothing usually comes of calling them. You can call them and get as many tickets out in as you want but these drivers come when it's convenient for them. I actually just called today because once again recycle was missed and I was informed by the customer service agent that my recycle day was changed from Wednesday to Friday however C & D made no attempt to contact and tell me my pick up day changed. Do not use this company. Take your trash to the dump. They missed my pick up for four weeks straight. They were to pick up my trash twice a week. Calling them does not work. I called 4 days in row, each time they promised that day it would be done. They promised to pickup the trash containers on 4/13/22. They are still sitting out front. Guess what? Nothing ever happened that was promised. Try another company or do it yourself. Rating? They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and I am 71. It's been almost 2 weeks since they dropped off the cans and no sign of them since. I've called them 5 times reporting missed pickups and they always promise to send a truck but it never happens. Constantly late on pick ups, in some instances they've missed an entire week of pick ups. This is an on going problem that they don't seem able or willing to fix, but you bet they expect to be paid on time. If you have an alternative to them, take it. read more

If you like an overflowing dumpster sitting in your yard for weeks on end and being lied to daily that they'll pick up the trash today, then this is the service for you. I signed up for twice weekly pickup with a small dumpster. They've emptied it once in two and a half weeks. They left me with a full dumpster before Thanksgiving and now I have trash stacking up in the garage waiting for them to empty the dumpster. Just to put salt in the wound, they picked up my neighbors' trash today, leaving mine just as full as it was this morning. Not just one neighbor's, all of my neighbors' dumpsters where serviced. They sound really concerned when I've called them, every day they've been open over the past week and a half. They promise someone will be by that day to empty the dumpster, but, the only one who shows up are the animals that keep spreading the trash around our yard that we have to pick up after every day. I see why they bought out Republic Services, if there's no competition you can suck as much as you want. read more

We recently moved out to the East Foothills to a 5th wheel on a temporary basis while our home is being built in town. We were accustomed to the COY trash and recycle service and their schedule was excellent and never missed a beat. Unfortunately in the short time that we have been out here, C&D has missed scheduled pickups on a number of occasions. With a family of five, the trash can accumulate pretty quickly. The owners of the lot are winter visitors and have returned to their home state up North. Despite their best efforts to call C&D to remedy the situation and after reassurance that the matter would be resolved, we have yet to see a difference. In fact, C&D missed the Monday pickup today. I do not recommend their service and will not consider using them in the future. read more

My trash hasn't been picked up in 2 weeks. I called at about 5 times to try to find out when they plan on picking up our trash. The representative says they will put a note in the system to have our trash picked up by 6pm that same day every time I call. I'm tired of speaking to the call center, they are no help at all. I haven't been able to get in touch with someone local. I'm irritated and frustrated. Today was my regularly scheduled day for pick up. I noticed all trash cans down my street have been emptied except for ours. They are becoming increasingly unreliable. I feel that if i'm reliable to pay my bill, they should have to be reliable with their service. This service is the worse service I have ever had. They dont pick up on my days it is the next day If I'm lucky I have called and mentioned this to them and I have heard every excuse in the book and several I'm sure arent. The only excuse they have missed is " well the driver's wife is having a baby, Next week" . The service is just terrible. When I first moved to Yuma in 2001, as a year 'round resident, I think I was using Allied Waste. After several years, I became frustrated with their increasing irregularity, and I switched to Yuma Disposal (the "blue can" company). After several years with them, I again became frustrated with their irregularity -- sometimes not picking up my garbage, and sometimes coming by as late as 6:00 p.m. I also got tired of having to call them to ask when and if they were going to pick up my garbage. Then, two weeks ago, I switched to C & D Disposal (the "red can" company). I signed up for twice per week pick-up -- Mondays and Thursdays. They have not been picking up my garbage on Mondays. I had to call each time and go through the telephone menu to speak to a person -- and I don't think this person is located in Yuma but at a central control somewhere. Honestly, my opinion is that it does not matter which disposal company you use -- because they all have the same problems, sooner or later, inevitably. This is what I mean when I say that "having more choices does not mean getting better quality." It's just the same level of quality over and over even though from different companies. Now, the "blue can" truck is coming down my street early and regularly. I should have stayed where I was and waited it out. Well, that's my experience of dealing with Yuma disposal companies for the past 17 years. read more

I would pick no stars if I could. We were attempting to clear my mother's home after it's sale due to her death. I made a reservation a week ahead of time, and on the day of the delivery, nothing. I called, and was assured the dumpster would be there by 6:00 pm. Over the next two days, I called several times, still no dumpster. When I called on Monday, the day it was supposed to be picked up, I was told it was delivered. No it was not. This mixup caused alot of stress, extra work, and lost time. TOTALLY HORRIBLE SERVICE.. Miss pick ups often.... been using them since early Sept, now its early Dec. and they have missed pick ups 6 times now.... either trash or recycling. A driver told me he was out sick the day before and that he was the only driver... makes sense to run a business with 1 driver and no back up driver----NOT ! Made few calls to speak to someone with authority in Yuma, I was told to hold...so I held for 7 minutes...came back on line to tell me they just got off the phone and would be right with me, another 5 minutes went by and I HUNG up... I emailed my frustrations, got a reply finally after a few days stating someone or a manager would phone me....never happened... phoned corporate in California ---they were worse with passing the buck and making excuses... said I should call Yuma to get my complaint across to someone who actually gives a $#it... expect delays, and or several no pick ups if you do business with this outfit. read more

The service is reliable in it's unreliability, especially during the last couple of months. The garbage collections on my street should be taking place early on Tuesday mornings, but now are taking place late in the afternoon, and post holiday pick ups are totally random. No notices regarding changes are given and calling the company appears to have no affect. The positive is that the bins get emptied eventually. Recycling has been particularly difficult to predict lately, but as with garbage, it does get picked up eventually. read more

If you want your trash/recycle missed, then C and D Disposal is for you. I had to call weekly for missed pickups and management didn't show pride or care to fix the problem. Pay the extra couple dollars for another company to give you peace of mind to get what you are paying for. read more
