I'm still doing my weekly laundry here, and my love and loyalty is ever-growing for 8th St Laundromat. In fact, I feel as though my weekend feels rather incomplete if I can't do laundry in this special place--my little happy place (better than shopping on Amazon with prime. Well, maybe not better, but good enough therapy for me! Lol). I know I am risking sounding too corny, as I continue to wax poetic about 8th St, but I realize now that this is like the proverbial microcosm of society. It may not be as hip as the old TV series called "Cheers", but I feel as though everyone comes here and everybody knows their name. I don't really run into people I know, curiously enough. Well, all my other friends do have their own laundry to do but they "choose" to forgo the fun of doing it like I do--at the laundromat LoL. But you see, I get to say "hi" to the kids who are for the most part well-behaved (and a few I almost tripped over as they were running in the aisles between the sea of industrial washers and dryers). I get to watch seniors who even at their age (some of them I guess must be at least septuagenarians), still wash their own clothes and live in their own homes, even if that means they have to use a walker or a cane to maneuver themselves around this place. I get to watch migrant workers who on their days off they can look forward to the cleansing ritual that perhaps wash away the dust of their toil and sacrifices just for the sake of their families who depend on them. But some of these guys are probably merely in their late teens or early 20s. It's a secret guilty pleasure to overhear part of their conversations--and regardless of place, birthright, or upbringing, men will always be boys. My point is, no matter who we are and where we are from, we all need to wear clean clothes. And 8th St Laundromat is THE place to be. read more

Have gone here for 15 yrs. ...The recent new owner has let everything go down hill, fast,! More than half the machines are now not working. There's nothing to dry your hands on in the one bathroom. ...He now has some one working at nights who only speaks Spanish, which I dont speak. The hours say it closes at 10 pm but the lady who works here, Norma, was kicking people out at 9. I only came to dry clothes which takes me less than 20 minutes and Norma did not honor the time posted by the owner. I come here 1-2 times a week and will NEVER RETURN due to the unprofessionalism of Norma. read more

Cleanest laundromat I've been to in the city of Yuma. I'll be using this one for the rest of my duration here.

I love this laundry. Very clean, attendant always cleaning machines, floors, counters. Large fans overhead to cool. Large variety, and number of machines to chose from. read more

I was her on New Year's Eve. They were closing early but we're very helpful. I was able to get all my laundry done. Clean facility. Someone on duty off a problem. Well lit. All machines working. I'll come here again when I'm in the area. Also big rig parking in the back. read more

I used to think this place was awesome. I met the owner once or twice he's a really good guy but the people he has running it now are terrible. The lady that manages it is such a raving bitch. I can't stand her and her shitty attitude all the time. I'll be going somewhere else from now on because I've had enough of the crappy service and I can sure you all nine of my employees who also wash here every week will be going with me. I'm not sure about the past dealings with this place but this is new in 2022. I thought it was the cleanest friendliest CLEAN WASHERS AND DRYERS.... I've been to several laundromats in the city of Yuma and this is by far the best one I've been to when you take your clothes out of the washing machine they even looked clean so I'll be going back and unless things change drastically I'll continue to go there and as far as the woman who was the bitch when I was there it was a man knowledgeable and friendly and most what he did was clean the whole time I was there washing and drying several loads of laundry read more

I arrived at 640. It was still closed. Drove half hour to get here. Very disappointed. I will have to find somewhere else.

It's okay. My daughter asked the attendant where the restroom was and she said there wasn't one. It states on door restroom for customers only. We were was 4 loads, I wasn't going to go any further with it. read more

Place is great. Prices are good. Staff is great. Some people using the services are just ignorant. Some reviews here are total BS. I have used this laundry for over 3 years. The only problem is rude people holding and not using folding tables for 30 minutes. read more

Worst laundromat I've ever been too. I took just one item to wash, my white comforter, and their dryer completely left it with blue ink stains all over. I told the lady that works there and she told me they weren't responsible. Any decent place would at least cover for it to be washed again. What s worse is that I made sure there was nothing in the dryer before I put my comforter in. So I know for a fact that they don't clean them very well. I'll never be going there again. read more

It's Friday night 3/8/19 I ran into the laundry mat as I always do only to wash comforters and quilts the usual lady was not attending to the machines, but an old grumpy aged lady. I first ask her for change bc my 20 was spitting out of the machine. She growled at me and threw a 10 and two fives. I dared to ask about the machine, when she said "lady read the instruction" that was it for me. I was like if you hate this job get a new one. Bring back the other attendant!!! read more

Love this place! They do a great job with laundry. The place is clean and everyone is so helpful.
