The young fellow behind the counter was the least helpful soul I have ever encountered in a fly shop after several decades fishing. I mean that's why you go to a fly shop right? Get advice and buy flies. He wouldn't leave his chair in spite of about three requests to come over and show us what he'd recommend. We did get there about 15 minutes before close and he was counting the till but we were willing to, and did stand by while that got done. Get your advice and buy your flies somewhere else. Lastly, the chironomid patterns we bought fell apart way too soon. Poor quality flies.

AMAZING COSTUMER SERVICE!…read more I was late night online shopping yesterday and accidently checked out before typing in the Black Friday coupon code. I felt like I just threw $15 in the trash can. I wrote a short email and explaining everything and went to bed. I figured they wouldn't get back to me soon enough so I'd have to call them in the morning MAYBE they'd refund the $15. They responded that morning with the nicest email and I was refunded the $15 before noon! Many of us over the age of 20 grew up in an era where not everything could be purchased at a…read moreWalmart. Some of us remember going with a parent to the local hardware store, where the patrons and employees would dispense advice and suggestions back and forth. Where they had everything, but it might take a minute to find it in the back. Dare I say, a simpler time? This is one of those hardware stores. Located on main street in Sugar City, this place had just about everything you might need. I've stopped in here multiple times on a Saturday morning while working on the house and I've never been disappointed. Tools and items lines the shelves and walls. They even have one of those rolling ladders to reach high items. One thing that turns most people off about these stores is the prices. Why not just go to Walmart where I can get a cheap version for only $4.00? I'll tell you why. First, they only stock quality items. I have no complaints about anything I've ever purchased there. Second, they are handy with advice. I've bought so many things that as I've rung it up, the guy at the register was more than than happy to give a little advice about how to use/install/properly fix something. As for price, I've had multiple purchases that were actually cheaper than at a local big box store. So, that argument goes right out the window. There is also a nice assortment of quality furniture above the hardware store. If you are looking for dressers, night stands, beds, and are willing to use something other than walmart wood, this is a place for you. Be aware, they do not take card, so bring cash!

I'll start by saying this is a decent place to live physically, but the management completely ruins…read morethe experience. I have never dealt with such disorganized and incompetent management during my entire time in college. Maintenance requests take forever to get handled, if they even get handled at all. On top of that, the extra fees and add-ons when paying rent are ridiculous and feel excessive for what you actually get. It is the MOST expensive place to live IN ALL OF Rexburg during the spring semester. (The Cove is cheaper by 200$ for reference) What's even more frustrating is that parking and rent have increased every single semester since I moved in, yet management has straight up told me to my face that prices haven't gone up. That lack of honesty is honestly unacceptable. Overall, management comes across as untrustworthy, slow, and completely out of touch with their residents. It feels like they don't actually care about the people living here, just the money coming in.

Okay everyone, I want to give Old West Iron a loud applause for the excellent Customer Service and…read moreoutstanding product quality! If I could give this company 6 stars I would. I ordered to have two custom post caps made for stairs in my house that is being remodeled in Orange County. I searched through several vendors and nobody wanted to touch my design ideas. Not only did Old West Iron deliver, their creative design team improved on the ideas and we finished with what I would consider nothing less than two pieces of art. The custom builder on my home (i.e., MJ Star) was so impressed with their work they are going to refer other customers when looking for custom iron work. MJ Star is known for custom home building and remodeling for past 30 years in Southern California. If you have ever visited Laguna or Newport Beach or seen homes in the area, then more than likely you have seen one of their designs. I believe Old West Iron deserves this recognition and I would like to give a special should out to Tess. She was increadibly professional and when she said something was going to be done, it was done. Standing ovation! Thank you again. Sincerely, Customer For Life Albert Kruegel

Disappointed with the quality and unwillingness to provide a replacement…read more I purchased the Mediterranean Cast Iron Doorstop from Old West Iron based on the photos shown on their website. Unfortunately, the actual piece I received had several noticeable casting imperfections that were significantly more pronounced than what was represented in the website photos. The screw hole was also noticeably off-center. I contacted Old West Iron and provided photos. Their response confirmed that the piece is sand-cast and that variations and imperfections are part of the manufacturing process. They also acknowledged that the screw hole on my particular piece was "a little further off center than they usually are." I understand that a sand-cast product will have some natural variations. My concern is that the piece I received was not reasonably consistent with the appearance represented in the company's photographs. I asked for a replacement and specifically requested that someone inspect it for unusually noticeable imperfections before shipping it. Rather than provide a replacement, Old West Iron told me they could not promise another piece would be any more uniform and offered only a refund. In my opinion, if a company is selling a decorative product based on professional product photographs, the actual product should reasonably resemble what is being advertised. Customers should not have to accept a significantly lower level of finish simply because imperfections are inherent to the casting process. The customer service representative was courteous, but I was disappointed that the company was unwilling to stand behind the product by inspecting and replacing a piece that was acknowledged to have an unusually off-center screw hole and noticeable imperfections. I would recommend carefully considering this before purchasing if appearance and consistency are important to you.
