Our experience with The View Roofing was the most unprofessional experience with any company we've…read moreever had. I can't fathom the positive reviews of this company. While Freddy seemed knowledgeable and was priced just below competitors, the realty was anything but. Most egregiously we were overbilled for sheets of plywood replacement after the job was over. Nobody discussed this with us during the job. Nobody would tell us what was replaced and where. We had to take photos from the underside and refuse to pay until they showed what was replaced. They never did. Then there was the damage. They damaged several of our deck posts and never repaired them as promised. They punched holes in our sheet rock ceiling. When replacing them we had to make sure they repaired the whole section (they tried to only repair part of it and paint over the other part). When repainting we were told they would paint the entire ceiling to match, then on the day they said they would only paint half then they only painted the small areas where they repaired leaving mismatched paint. We had to withhold payment and fight over a credit to cover hiring a painter. The list of minor things is long, from driving on our lawn and leaving huge tire indents, to burning a section of our grass with their equipment, leaving trash out in the yard away from the house overnight (lunch wrappers and water bottles not work debris). Dropping paint on our sidewalk (that wasn't completely cleaned), Dripping paint and spackle on our walls that left a permanent mark and leaving debris and trash behind when they left for good. All of this documented with photo and video. During all this Freddy, who was not on site most of the time, was the only person who spoke English and whom we could communicate with effectively (while the crew tried to use google translate it didn't work well). This exacerbated all the issues that we had.

I had three companies quote my small house for 30 yr name brand shingles and new quality gutters(1,000 sf) . His proposal was by far the most competitive. His crew was friendly and courteous and cleaned up well after completion. I highly recommend this company.

Every part of the job that was started got delayed because they ordered incorrect or insufficient materials. There was no communication through out the project. If we didn't chase them down for information they wouldn't provide it. They were unprofessional, disrespectful and clearly amateurs at what they do. Trash and building materials were left inside my home for months. My house was left exposed to the elements for several months (because they started a job not realizing they didn't have the right materials). My basement was flooded due to their negligence causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. Everywhere I turn I find more poor craftsmanship. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Zak performed some small repair work - sealing a sewer pipe, fixing some flashing, and sealing down a shingle - and gave me a complete inspection of the roof. He was honest, kind and more than reasonable! The fact that the owner of the company responded personally and came out to do the work himself speaks volumes about what kind of a small business that Zak runs. Zak was there the day after a hurricane for this minor repair and while his crews were out installing complete roofs. I'm so grateful for him and his business, and won't hesitate to recommend Slavin Home Improvements to everyone I know! While he was at my house, a neighbor wandered over to get a quote on some gutter repairs done and Zak made time then and there. If you want an honest, hardworking professional company, look no further than Slavin Home Improvements!

Plow and Property has completed several projects for us on a very old and neglected rental property…read moreand we are so glad we found them. The first job was a vacant house clean out. The house was left in truly appalling condition. The cleaning crew worked and worked and worked so hard and so long I was telling them to stop. They made a filthy house fresh and pleasant again. I would not have thought it could be restored to such a fresh condition. The next job was replacing the old casement windows which were rotted wood frames in crumbly 1950s cement. They not only repaired the window foundation area but other foundation ugly spots as well and put in beautiful new sturdy basement sliding windows. They also re-dug and replaced the adjoining window wells which were undoubtedly the original wells and were falling apart. Regraded the foundation area around the wells and reseeded without being asked. While they were in the basement doing the windows they cleaned a bunch of that up too so it's no longer a horror movie waiting to be filmed down there. Everything they did was simply above and beyond. Wesley Vercosa has returned my many questions and concerns with lots of information and smiles, bless him. My retired husband worked in construction for many years and he is happy and impressed with the work. We are planning more work with them already. We have multiple properties and I think we have found our new property manager.
