When my family moved into our house, we already knew our roof would need to be redone and we hoped to get it to about 5 years post move in time. At year 4, our roof sprung a leak and so this was the first time AER came to the rescue. Chris Stohl got our repair coordinated quickly and efficiently but confirmed this was just buying 1 season. That next year we sprung a different leak but were just months away from it being the most perfect time financially. Chris came out and actually helped to tarp our roof to get us through the rain. Talk about above and beyond! I told him that we would do the roof that summer and he got a quote prepared. We did get some other quotes in the meantime and AER just was top to bottom better with warranty, materials and price point. We went with AER and they put our job on the exact week we needed. Megan and Rebecca coordinated the process the entire way. They were preparing us for all the expected noise, logistics and material delivery practically every day leading into the start day. When work got started, each inspector and crew member were polite and efficient. Our new roof went in perfectly to what we had expected. After project finish, there was a problem with dealing with the county office, through no fault of either us or AER (thanks former home owner from 20+ years ago). They accidentally removed an exhaust fan because of a miscommunication and were back out to install it a few days later. No hassle, and a quality job done right.

I contacted them and they gave me a great price, especially since I was paying cash. They agreed to take off 2 layers of roof (there was only ), replace dry rot, put on new gutters and leaf guards. The owner came out 1 time to collect the cash. We walked the property and he found a couple things he thought should be changed, and I asked about a couple other things. He sent guys out, they were supposed to call and book it but just showed up, to fix those areas. After a small rain, I notices a leak in the gutters, so he sent a guy out to fix that, again, no call, just showed up. From the beginning, I asked him about a couple issues and he kept saying he would send someone out but never did. After the next rain, I sent him text, this is how we communicated from the beginning, how the water was coming over the gutters right in my front door entrance. I can't go in or out without getting wet. I also told him there was a seam between the house and garage I was concerned about. For several months we sent text and I sent pictures back and forth. He refused to come out or send anyone and has since stopped even communicating with me. Now I'm seeing that my roof line is sagging. Quality and craftmanship of the custom gutters are horrible. My next step will be to call the roof inspectors and have it checked, the BBB, roofing contractors board and GAF the roof material company that they are supposed to be top roofers for. There are several other complaints I have not listed. I was unable to inform them of these because he refused to come out and texting was not getting anywhere. If I would have known the great price would have come with subpar work, I would have paid someone else more to do the job right.
