I was disappointed with this visit..I went in as a new patient arrived 15 mins early....after a few…read moremins a lady with a deep voice ( the dental assistant maybe) said the appt was cancelled....I confirmed the appt...Then she said it was an error and they would squeeze me in after going to the back to speak to the dentist...After I sat for 45 mins and filled out the standard dental paper work....She came back out and said they did not take Dental Aetna PPO plans...I handed them the card when I first came in when they asked so it was no need to waste that much time to say at the end they did not take Federal Jobs PPO insurance....The lady with the deep voice was dismissive and did not apologize and just went on to ask the receptionist..So who next? I personally thought it was extremely rude and unprofessional.....At no time even ask if I wanted to self pay the appt..Did I have a care credit card already nothing.....Maybe it was something else because when we walked in and she came out it felt like we were not welcomed...( but that is another subject so I will leave that alone...

I'm 77 yrs old and never have had a crown with a perfect bite first time around. The staff is fantastic. Most notably Selma: a hygienist extraordinaire. You'll never forget your appointment here. She also doesn't push unnecessary treatments which I appreciate as someone who is both budget conscious and takes very good care of my teeth. It even seems like prior issues with finding consistent hygienists have been remedied. Unfortunately they still have a lot of issues finding reliable and knowledgeable front desk personnel, and as a result I have had a TON of billing issues, which ultimately resulted in my and my family leaving the practice. Although these issues have persisted the entire 4 years I have been a patient, most recently I was not told my and my child's visit was out of network until I received the bill. Apparently the practice has not updated their information with insurance providers and the old doctor is still listed as in network even though the practice changed hands nearly a year ago. Although I don't believe it was done on purpose, it certainly affected my family in a financially negative way and it is reflective of the overall poor communication and billing practices.

Instead of feeling helped or understood, I felt that I was treated in a rude and dismissive way, as if I did not understand what was being explained to me. Later, my appointment was canceled without receiving confirmation from me first. I understand that emergencies can happen, but I was not able to check my phone or email during the day. When I arrived at the office, I was again met with an unhelpful and rude attitude. Because of this situation, I lost valuable time and was left without enough time to schedule my cleaning somewhere else before my travel. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience. I believe no customer or patient should be made to feel this way. I hope this situation will be reviewed and that communication and customer service can be improved.

I arrived there today and was a bit anxious.. but WOW... I can't say enough about this practice. Here is why: 1. Great front office assistant; she got me in fast.. even though I wasn't an established patient. 2. I am a cash pay patient for dental work; they didn't abuse me; just charged me a fair amount for only necessary work. They told me up front what the charge would be and didn't try to destroy me financially. Honest! 3. Dr. Wood was my dentist; a female dentist with a kind heart, incredibly smart, understanding of my needs, smooth and steady hands... she worked meticulously to make sure no remaining decay was present; she got every area of decay removed before installing the cavity filling material. 4, ZERO.. absolutely ZERO pain. And afterwards; the tooth felt perfect in my mouth; no high spots, no pain: perfect install. She even had to remove two old metal cavities and reconstructed the entire tooth. I am delighted by the care I received here... from the front desk to the dental assistant Daniel, to Dr. Wood... thank you! Oh.. and I also had my 3yr old son with me. He was a good boy and they let him sit in my room and watch YouTube on my phone; they made everything easy. They even kindly removed my son from the room (with grace and care) when I had to have an x-ray.. careful to spare my son of unnecessary x-ray exposure. If you are looking for an exceptional dental practice, I would totally recommend this place. Zero Pain, honest, no unnecessary billing/procedures... just competent professionals that do a great job.
