I am a fan of this little gem tucked away in the 5th. It's not ostentatious or flamboyant; it's cozy, simple, and cheerful. What a warm cup of tea on a cold rainy day does to your soul, is what this place does to you when you step inside. It's like stepping into your favorite grandmother's kitchen. The ambiance is welcoming and this is reinforced further by the woman who has consistently greeted me with warmth and gentleness.
The coffee is fair trade and the food is made fresh. The selection isn't endless but it's reliable and good. During the spring, summer, and fall there is seating outdoors so that you can sip the coffee of your choice and work on your next novel (step aside Stephen King and Elizabeth Gilbert).
