Very good Kosher restaurant, food quality is on par with non-kosher but prices are much higher. Lunch for 4 people cost us almost $100. Service is very slow

Steak was under cooked and not tender or juicy and SALTY! My friend ordered her with peppers and got hers with arugula. She had to send it back to have it cooked more. My dish was the steak and artichoke which is mainly why we went into that area was to get with fried artichoke but the restaurant was closed so I settled for mine which was ok but I understand the trend. Like crispy burnt kale chips with a buttery creamy center. Add a little salt and lemon and it was really good, I should have ordered that alone because my steak was horrible. We got hummus for the table which was ok. The only thing I HIGHLY recommend is the Baklava! Sooooooo good, didn't get to take a picture, the best Baklava I've ever had. Omg so good. Also there's a restroom inside, after the bar up the stairs and it's a shared sink but ladies is after the double door.

Very good food here. For Americans the service is very slow. Prepare to spend at least an extra thirty minutes here as a result.

One of Rome's most famous dishes is the carbonara pasta - a simple pasta dish made with eggs, a hard cheese (probably Parm), black pepper and (here's the kicker) cured pork . As most of you know I'm muslim and don't eat pork so safe to say I was pretty bummed I wouldn't be having any Carbonara until I stopped @baghettorestaurantsroma in the Jewish Ghetto in Rome on a food tour and we realized there would be kosher options. We went back the next day for dinner and to my delight there was in fact a carbonara pasta and artichokes that tasted amazing - let's breakdown why: 1. The pasta: pasta in Italy just generally hits different, perfectly Al dente every time, covered in a light egg based sauce that tastes amazing just wow. 2. The cured beef: the cured meat in this is slightly crisp leading to a nice contrast in texture that pairs with the pasta 3. The fried artichokes: we had this the previous day on the tour and these are just delicious, crispy and bursting with flavor If you don't eat pork and want to try Carbonara pasta next time you're in Italy definitely check this place out!!

The Service: Service is slow... I guess that is common in Italy. Take a while to get our server's attention. Yes, not that attentive. The Food: A little bit pricey for the portion they served. The pasta is okay, not too much flavor. The hummus and falafel are so so too. My favorite is the deep fried artichoke. I see a lot of "grilled" artichoke but first time trying deep fried. Because it is deep fried so basically everything is crisp and edible. They have nice patio seating area, perfect place to people watching.... since the service is kind of slow.

Stopped in here this afternoon for a quick bite because I had been exploring Rome on foot since 7am and was hungry, plus desperately needed to use the restroom. It was right by one of my fav fountains (la fontana di tartarughe) that I discovered in the Jewish quarter and it had lemoncello and tiramisu, which I had been wanting to try in Italy. Granted, maybe stopping in a kosher restaurant to try two very Italian things may not have been the best choice in hindsight, but as they say it is 20/20. The service was pleasant enough and I wanted something to break the sweet of the lemoncello/tiramisu, but I didn't want a full meal as I still had plenty of the city still left to walk. I ordered their eggplant rolls which came w/tuna and melted mozza. They were pretty good. Now here is why the two-stars. First, bread was brought to the table, w/o me asking for it, but no olive oil or balsamic was on the table nor offered (though I could see several other tables around me had some). Here is the kicker for me, I was charged 1.5€ for bread I didn't eat!? I hate places that do that. Don't bring me something I didn't ask for and then charge me for it! It is like mexican restaurants that charge for chips & salsa that they bring to your table. Second, the tiramisu was abysmal. And, I mean bad. They served it is a glass cup, which I have no idea why, but the ladyfingers were so overly soaked they were just plain soggy and then having to fight through all the cream at the top of the cup meant the texture balance that is such a big part of good tiramisu was asymmetric as...well you get the point. Also, the Americano I had was extremely bitter yet weak, how they managed to pull that off is a mystery. All that disappointment for a whopping 21€!

While taking a tour in Rome, our tour guide recommended this Jewish restaurant to us so we decided to give it a try. It seemed pretty popular among the Italians, but my family and I weren't too crazy about it. I just wasn't a big fan of the food options, and I just wasn't crazy about the dish I ordered. It was pretty plain. Not that this place is a bad restaurant, I just wasn't crazy about the food!

Located near the Vatican Museums, Kebabbaro is an authentic Mediterranean take-out restaurant that is owned by few friendly dudes, and it got some delicious kebab at cheap price. Originally, I just wanted a snack but the portion was bigger than I thought and I was full! A kebab roll with fries and a can of drink is less than €10 too. The option also includes a falafel wrap or platter if you are somehow not into kebab. Anyway, it's primarily a take-out but there are few booth seats and you get your food extremely quickly. If you are tired of pizza and pasta, give this place a try! *Disclaimer: Okay I actually wasn't tired of Italian food. I was waiting for the metro strike to end, but I'm glad there was a strike because I wouldn't find this delicious kebab place without it!

ACCORDINGLY THIS IS ONLY LIMITED TO MY EXPERIENCE IN ROME ONLY *** 1- The place: the place is magnificent, them is gorgeous, makes you feel that you are at one of Mediterranean Cafés especially Middle Eastern countries. 2- location: in the Campo di fiori area, a well known normally busy area with many people from different ethnicities and cultures. 3- Prices: relatively fair if you order wisely with getting the value of what you pay. 4- Food & Drinks: Genuine and tasty, portions are good. If you like Mediterranean cuisine then go to try what they have on the menu. 5- Shisha/Hookah: (limited to my experience in Rome only), by far one of the best places to have Shisha at and price is a bit cheaper than many others in the business. Good variety of flavours to choose from and somehow the Shisha lasts for a reasonable period of time. 6- Service: can't complain since its my 1st visit to the place and it was in the weekend and things are crazy during weekends. Recommendations: * Work more on improving and have a bit faster service especially when it's related to Shisha and changing charcoals. * Shisha flavours need more work when preparing the mixtures and adding flavours and shisha would taste much better if flavours are a bit more condensed.. Conclusion: by far one of the best in the area and highly recommend it. Will be my new escape place and hope owners & management pay attention to my concerns and recommendations (I am a previous HOOKAH place owner) Wish you all the best and hope visitors will have a pleasant experience similar to the one I had!!

Accompanied by fellow yelpers, we head for this "posh" kebab joint, distinguished by three spit-roast doner options - beef, chicken and vegetarian. The interior is swankier than your average kebab shop, with a room on the side featuring table-clothed tables, charming prints and a collection of fezes (can't resist a fez). We start with a plate of falafel to share, 6 pieces for a good value €5, and a plate of mixed antipasti for €8. The baba ganoush and hummus are pretty good, and there are also creamed zucchini, beans and potato puree. We all order kebab on the plate, a portion of seasoned beef, chicken or a vegetarian option dressed with a little bit of salad. This is "make your own" kebab time, with unleavened slices of pitta-style bread and salsas to share. Pity they only bring 2 spoons for the four salsas - they're soon all mixed together. And for a group of five people, they run out immediately so we request more. Overall the impression is good and the food is tasty, although I do prefer a lamb kebab. The main dishes are also quite pricey at €12 each although the kebab meat is good quality. The five of us pay €16 a head, after sharing two bottles of water as well, and go away full and pretty satisfied.

They also have other dishes (e.g., rice platters, couscous, falafel, sausages, baklava, etc.) that I remember being pretty good and decently priced. Make sure to grab a beer from the fridge (Protip: hide it in your bag if you're gonna be drinking it off premises).
