The Bang Bang shrimp were huge and absolutely amazing -- easily a standout. The garlic parm fries were very good, and the crab hush puppies were small and packed with flavor. I also had a flight of beer (full review posted on Untappd), and our server was awesome -- super informative and helpful with recommendations. Overall, a really solid lunch spot with great food, good beer, and excellent service. Would definitely come back!

I finished my drink 10 minutes went by and the manager came w the food and said sorry and offered to take my drink of the check, but I paid already so he gave me another drink on the house & that drink was super small in a plastic cup with hella ice so I left w my food in a box and a drink that took less than 4 sips to finish Mind you it wasn't packed (Wednesday night)

A fantastic brewery stop on our NOLA run…read more The outdoor space is divided, with a rather open front space lined with greenery. I'll call it the catio. This may be (no surprise) my favorite part, tho the library toilet gives it a good run. This is where the cat shelters, food & water are & you can expect to be able to spot at least one kitteh, probably more. Some will think pets are a good idea, while others may react like they've never seen it a human before. I love that these guys are caring for the local cat population, including vetting. Inside is warm & welcoming, with staff that are happy to help you pick your poison. Out back, you'll be in a lush garden-space. They even have a can of insect repellent to prevent the mosquito buffet. The icing on the cake, the beer was good, too. We liked it enough to go back the day before we left!

If you stay around long enough, Patrick, the beautiful orange tabby, will decide your lap needs warming and will take a nap for a bit. The outdoor space is just perfect, large and shady with a lot of seating. We relaxed here for a while. Behind the bar, well, you couldn't find a more helpful crew! I threw out the mood I was in, and I enjoyed two different beers - one IPA and one coffee porter, both hit he spot, and were both nice to budget. I hope to make it back to try more of the brews and maybe just sit and enjoy another beautiful day!

Bonus points for being pet friendly. They had great music playing, and the food trucks outside were a nice touch. I ordered two flights and honestly enjoyed everything I tried--lots of variety and solid flavor across the board. Overall, a really cool, off-the-beaten-path spot that's absolutely worth checking out if you're in New Orleans.

Miel is one of 5 breweries along Tchoupitoulas St. Ok so they are 1/2 a block off, whatever…read more It's the smallest brewery of the bunch but probably my favorite. I have probably been a dozen or more times, and they are always changing things up. New IPA's, Pilsners, stouts, and sours about every time I go. This last time I went they had a habanero-pickle sour, but I was too big of a chicken to try it. Their Soft Focus DIPA was phenomenal, however. The inside is small, but the courtyard is a really cool place to sit even on a July afternoon as it is shaded with plants and umbrellas. They have different food vendors all the time and crawfish every spring. On our last visit, we had a really good Detroit style pizza. I will keep going because they are always trying to brew new beers and because it's my girlfriend's favorite brewery in Nola. If they still have the habanero pickle sour, I may even try it.

Yet, it seems quite popular with locals and was fairly full for a Tuesday Trivia Night. I ordered a Pimm's cup since Pimm's was on the shelf - the bartender looked confused and told me they don't have any of the ingredients to make one. I changed my order to a flavored vodka - they don't stock any. I ended up ordering a Vodka & 7, but received a Vodka Soda. Were the drinks cheap? Not so much. Was the service friendly? Not so much. I ordered food hoping this was the redeeming feature of the bar. I ordered a steak sandwich at $18 - the service time was quick but the sandwich didn't have much flavor - it was a dry, difficult to bite through thin steak with not much flavor to speak of. The tater tots were crispy and hot and I loved the Brussel Sprouts; they were doused excessively in the dressing but I liked it. There is a nice patio out back - they had fans in this area which is always appreciated. This bar just didn't have the stock and amenities that many other bars in the area do have . Walk to magazine street for better options.

We…read morehad stumbled upon this distillery that has been open since 2016 and survived Covid, so you know it must be worth a stop in! Unfortunately our plan was to just stop in for drinks but the dinner menu looked so good with a speciality menu with quail and a dip with avocado and local fish! As we were just stopping in for drinks, we just had an appetizer: at first we were unsure about the composition of the appetizer: avocado, crab and mango....but one we received it, we were impressed. The dip was solid! As for drinks: the distillery offerings were solid! I'm a fan of bees knee and that made me an epic one. And for those who want to get their pour on for a mere 20 dollars you can do unlimited drinks from a select list that looked solid! The service was solid too! I think the excellent service that we received from Sam and perhaps the Manager ( sorry didn't catch his name) kept us there longer enjoying our time! Sam has been there for four year and very passionate about the business: I love seeing an employee at establishment that is fully engage! The ambiance is nice too: vast indoor space! Very clean! With an open area to the kettles! Plus a nice patio for nice days! Plus they have a big party area too if you are looking for an event space. Thanks for a great first visit: we look forward to digging in and trying some of your food next time!
