I took my Ford F-150 in for a tune-up and because the check engine light was on. I was charged $1,500 and told the truck would take about a week to repair. Based on that timeline, I rented a vehicle for the week. Surprisingly, the very next day I was told the truck was ready. While I was happy to get it back sooner, it was frustrating because I had already paid for a rental and couldn't get much of that money refunded. Unfortunately, within 3 days the check engine light came back on. I brought the truck back immediately. I'm a mother of 3, own 2 businesses, and work full-time from 7-4, so constantly bringing my vehicle back and forth is extremely difficult and disruptive to my life. When I returned, I was told the truck was "good to go," but that they needed to order a camshaft part. While waiting for that part, my truck completely died while I was on my way to pick up my children from school around 3:00 PM, leaving me stranded. I called the shop and was told to tow it back there -- at my own expense. I had to pay for the tow myself, even though the vehicle had just been serviced by them. The next day I went in for an update and still could not get a clear ETA. At this point, they had already been paid in full from the very beginning, and I still have no reliable vehicle. What is most upsetting is the complete lack of accountability or customer service afterward. No reimbursement for the tow, no discount, no loaner vehicle, no rental assistance, and no urgency despite the inconvenience this has caused my family and businesses. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating and feels like services were not properly rendered. I normally try to be understanding, but this situation has become unacceptable. read more

They should be ashamed of themselves at this garage. The worst automotive repair experience I've ever known my 80-year-old mother, whose car water pump was going out, took it in for repairs. This garage said, no problem, then they charged her twice.The amount for the water pump and two times the amount in labor and then said , it took almost 2 weeks to get the car back.Just for the water pump , they called and said it was ready , went and picked the car up got less than a mile in the car overheated , but then we made it back 21 block of her house in the car died.Call them the next day.They came by with a flatbed truck to take the car back to the shop and then they said the fuel pump had went out. Altogether, there was over $2200 in charges, and the car still not running correctlyThe check engine light is still on and there's codes on the water pump and the electronic fuel pump. My next step is contacting the Better Business Bureau.These people should not be in business.They are scandalous oh yes, they would not receive even one star, but there's no way I could put a negative start on here. The building looks like a junkyard with car parts spewed all over the place. And missing with my mom's independence , these people need to be put out of business...... If you're considering auto repair , I can assure you this is not the place to go. Got the car back from him and one week later , the same problems all over again. read more

Took advantage of a man in his 80s Charged double the amount for the part they got from the auto part store one mile away. Then demanded he pay only in cash. Who carries over 400$ at aged over 80 years old? Dangerous these days This shop changed ownership since he last visited it unaware of this he had years of good honest service from previous owner zines Cash only so they are doing shady business dealings unavoidable tax reporting. Yeah, they really saved my butt, had an issue another mech couldn't figure out they told me they had an idea of what was wrong in advance but there was no way to know for sure until they got it taken off but they were right, the pump fins were worn out, once fixed my vehicle no longer over heated. read more

Horrible service, won't pick up the phone, doesn't get your vehicle back to you when promised. I had to call over 8 times and they would state that the car wasn't even being worked on yet. After getting my car back, they caused more issues, I had to take it back and the whole process took over a month to be resolved. Not to mention they charged a crazy amount of money for the initial fix. Never again, and would never recommend. Super unreliable. read more

JANKY PROMOTORS ! Paid $150 for a tow to this garage and it was a truck with a flat bed. Dylan brought out Two other males ( probably the "owners" of the shop and I use that term loosely" My Actuator B went out in my Ford Focus and they told me $227.00 for a new one with a warranty which I Opted for and they had to keep my car overnight for the "part to arrive" lords know why they kept it because the part was not NEW and when the Actuator B went out again I called Byrds garage to get the replacement, right? Well they NEVER called me back it's been two weeks now and I had to get my actuator B replaced again and the mechanic who changed it out said it's not new and had been opened up and welded back together. I have my bank records proving in MARCH 2024 My car was at their shop for over 24 hours and with a TOW $150 Parts $227 and Labor $200 They rigged it to run for a few months and now I'm having issues with it after it was in there care. Brought my truck to them to install catalytic converter. Found out they charged double after the fact for parts and reasonable price on labor. After driving it to clear codes and have some misc work performed to ready it for smog, we were informed that it cannot pass smog because Byrds placed the incorrect cat for the engine family for my truck. Basic information to olive validated by an automotive shop. Now we have to pay to have removed and replaced with correct parts. I gave shop owner Ryan Byrd every option to make it right and even return parts for warranty to his parts vendor. For a full month I was told he would take care of this and has repeatedly given run around saying he has to come up with money. Lots of cars there he is working on. DO NOT take your vehicle there before really checking them out. Beware. I rarely put reviews, good bad or indifferent but do not want this to happen to someone else. Went in to have alignment done on vehicle . They wanted to charge me about 600 for parts and 600 for labor. I decided not to use their services. I found a whole front end suspension kit with all the parts they said i needed on Amazon for less than $100. I paid $160 for the diagnostic and I will never return. read more

I brought both my cars to have work done on the power steering hoses and brakes. Other places I have gone made it sound like more of an issue and wanted to charge a lot more. The work they provided here was fast and efficient, and I believe the shop owner Ryan and his workers have good integrity. It's such a relief to know that I have someone I can count on to pinpoint the problem and not try to overcharge me. My 2004 Chevrolet S-10 ZR5 (40,000 miles) had Air Conditioning issues, it was quickly diagnosed, and was repaired within 1 day, while it was there I had maintenance done, cooling system flush, Lube & Oil. I was informed that my rear brakes will be ready for service soon. this is the worst garage to take your vehicle, especially if your a woman. the owner said, while i was recording, quote (women dont know nothing). he said that while he was screwing me over for the $1100 i already payed for a valve cleaning i did not need. still didnt fix my car and was trying to convince me it was my cats that they switch out my new ones for the clogged ones they put on there. tole me it would cost me $3700 to replace my cats and labor. even tho i have them recored saying that they would find the problem and fix it and it would not cost me another penny. so if your a wanting to take your car to that garage, be prepared to be screwed over....worst garage ever.... read more

Brought in a cylinder head with broken bolts, they were one of a few garages that actually answered their phone. Once they looked at it and gave it a try to remove the seized bolts that were not coming out. They then were informative with the next steps on a course of action and didn't charge for the trying or information. Would recommend giving them a call. read more

I was next door to Byrd's getting a smog certificate yesterday and ended up failing the smog test because my car had a cracked hose. I was able to bring my car right over to Byrd's, they were super accommodating and friendly and they happened to have the right hose in stock. Not only did they replaced the hose for me on the spot, they also put air in my tires, vacuumed the engine filter, added some oil, scrubbed the rust off my battery and sprayed it with a preservative to prevent further rusting. They were so awesome and absolutely came to my rescue! I took my car back next door and passed the smog test with flying colors. These folks are honest, very customer service-oriented and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Byrd's Garage! read more
