If you prefer dealers who do not stand behind their products, come on down to Tim Short Auto Group! I purchased a 2024 Chevy Silverado with 26,000 miles. 10 DAYS LATER, I received a warning on the dash that the rear brake pads were low. I took it to the local Chevy dealership to have the brakes inspected. Imagine their surprise, AND MINE, when they discovered all 4 rotors and a caliper were junk. The rotors couldn't even be turned because they were so corroded. When I contacted Tim Short Auto Group, their response was less than stellar. They sold a vehicle with bad brakes, but apparently that was not their responsibility. It cost $1500 to replace the brakes. The most frustrating thing was that I had found another nearly identical vehicle at a different dealership for approximately the same price, drove them both, and they both seemed solid. Unfortunately for me, I chose the Tim Short Vehicle.

I traded in my car for a truck at the end of August 2024 and it is now the end of October and they still have yet to get my truck registered. And get this, they've already sold the vehicle I traded in! They kept my license plate upon trade and after me calling over a month later asking about it they told me it was all taken care of and to come get my plate (mind you I live an hour from the dealership). A month later I get a collections notice on the car I traded in saying I was late on my payment. WHAT?! Tim Short was supposed to send in the payoff and didn't! I called and told them and they said they'd take care of it. I waited a week and called my bank and nothing had been sent. I called the dealership and threatened legal action and lo and behold it somehow got paid that day! Since I picked up my plate I thought everything was fine until last week. I work 9 hours from home and I was surprised when I walked out to my truck one day last week to find a TOW NOTICE on my window for an UNREGISTERED VEHICLE! My truck is STILL not registered in my name! My plate is still registered to my original vehicle I traded in which is now owned by someone else. The lady I spoke with at the dealership said that they don't keep tags? Then why did our sales rep keep it? We were also told (when we called after the first month) that whoever was in charge of handling registration left my paperwork on her desk and went on vacation. Then I'm told that my Certificate of Origin they had requested from wherever was destroyed when they received it and they don't know how or why. They also couldn't tell me why they don't have a new one. I nearly got a ticket and my brand new truck towed because they've had 2 months to do their jobs and haven't done it. I'm almost 40 and never had a ticket! The lady I spoke with said there are only two of them in the office doing all that paperwork. All I know to tell Tim Short is that they'd better hire a few more people to help in that department because I've been told I'm not the only one that's had this problem. It's all so very unprofessional. I will never do business with Tim Short again and will discourage others as well.

When I asked why the salesman lied to me he said "he didn't lie, he just misrepresented the truck" With in 2 hours of driving off the lot. The vehicle malfunctioned causing me to lose control almost getting into an accident. I called from out of state to inquire about a vehicle that I found online. I called and spoke to Alan Meeks as well as the service manager A.K.A. Mike's son. They both assured me that the vehicle was completely fine and in working order with no damage. This is where the lies began. Come to find out, the service manager used the vehicle as a demo A.K.A. his personal vehicle. The vehicle had 3,000+ miles on it than what was advertised. In exchange for the discrepancy, Mike offered to buy my plane ticket out there. He said to save the receipt and that he would reimburse me when I got there. I get to the dealership and it's less than what I expected. I was the only customer there and everyone inside was smoking. I took the vehicle for a drive around the block and everything seemed to be fine. We pulled up to the dealership and Alan quickly pulls me inside to discuss the paperwork. I walk back outside to get a closer look at the truck and I was disappointed in what I saw. The inside was dirty as it looked like they did a quick wipe down. Dog hair on the carpet and seats, fluids spilled on the carpet with no effort to clean it up, missing interior components, missing spare tire, dings and scratches on the tailgate, the tailgate would not open and close. At this point, I really wanted to walk away but had to overlook this stuff due to personal reasons and the time and money I committed to getting out there. I confront Mike and he said "well we didn't lie about the truck we just misrepresented it". We renegotiate the price a bit and he took 600 off for the inconvenience and an additional 400 for the ticket that was supposed to reimbursed to me not put toward the truck. Then they give me a auto check report with the last two pages missing that stated the truck was in an accident. They tried to hide this from me. They said no this was an error, but later I called autocheck and they said yes, it was in an accident. I drive off the lot and within two hours, driving down the mountain, the parking brake engages causing the alarm to go off, I immediately reach down for the release and its not working. At the same time I was going around a bend in the road and accidentally swerved and lost control, trying to fix the brake. I called Mike and told him that no one inspected this vehicle and that I do not feel safe driving the truck. He said take it a service station. He would not take it back. I took the truck to my local dealer and told them what happened. A salesman looked over my paperwork and discovered that he OVERCHARGED me the sales tax and tried to pocket the difference and also said he OVERCHARGED me for the temp tags. I later found a concave dent on the passenger door which I remember when I was looking the truck over, Mike quickly came outside and said come on in Roy and lets talk about the truck. It was hard to see as it was overcast but when the sun is out, it shows really badly. The service department said it would cost $1700.00 to fix the brake issue and another $2000.00 to fix the dent on the door. And I forgot to mentioned the odometer was malfunctioning causing me to get a ticket. The police officer look at my speedometer and said "how are you going 20 mph when you are parked talking to me?" So he wrote me for defective speedometer. Now, I stuck with a truck I don't feel safe in and a $4,000 bill to fix it. DO NOT BUY FROM MIKE WILSON!!!!

We gave her the go ahead to order it and she stated it would be new and coming from a Chrysler warehouse. Brittany stated she would go ahead and order it and let us know when the Jeep was ready to be picked up. We called for an update on 11/1 just to check in on their progress. Brittany stated the part was coming from New Jersey and hadn't came in yet. We asked what the time frame was, however she stated she would have to call back the next day with our tracking number. We continued being patient and called again on 11/6 since Brittany never called us back as she said she would. On this date we spoke with Joe, the service manager. Joe stated no one had ever ordered the part and that he was going to charge us an additional $500 for the part, despite us already agreeing on the price with Brittany in 10/23. We informed him on the agreement we had with Brittany, however she refused to talk with us on this date (we heard their conversation as Joe sat the phone down and didn't put us on hold.) So Brittany lied to us during our previous conversation when she told us she had ordered the part. Joe became quite rude and told us we could just go to New Jersey and pick up the part ourselves. He made it very clear that Tim Short does NOT value their customers. Joe stated he hadn't been at work and needed to sort this out and that he would call us back. After over an hour of no communication, we called again and Brittany answered. She stated she wasn't aware of the price change and that Joe gave her the go ahead to look for a used part instead. We stated we wanted the new part at the quote she originally provided on 10/23. Brittany stated she was told last week of the price change, however she never mentioned it to us and as previously stated, Brittany had stated on 11/1 that the part had already been ordered and enroute. We then requested to speak to her boss, which was Joe. Once again, Joe was rude and never apologized for what he claimed to be his employees error. When we asked why Brittany was looking for a used part, Joe stated there were no new parts available. We reminded Joe just an hr or so earlier he said there was a new one in New Jersey and now he's saying there isn't one. Joe then stated if we wanted to pay $500 more or go to New Jersey ourselves then yes we could get a new one. This all contradicts the original discussion with Brittany on 10/23. We then asked to speak with his supervisor, Gary Marcum(General Manager/Operating Partner Manager.) Our call was sent straight to voicemail and we have not received a call back. Tim Short Dealership has made it very clear that they are not only deceptive liars, but they do not care about their customers. **UPDATE** On 11/7, we went to the dealership to attempt to speak with Gary in person. While we were able to have a professional conversation with him, there was no resolve to the issue. While we had already caught Joe in several lies; after reviewing the paperwork they had on my Jeep, we caught him in another. He advised he was unaware of the original quote from Brittany, however I located the paperwork that showed the original quote. I also located an interesting sheet that broke down the costs they were going to charge me. The document showed they were going to charge me a $500 core fee. So this means they were going to gain $1000 from the repair ($500 from me and then $500 from the company when they return the core fee once receiving my used part.) In conclusion, I will never do business, nor recommend anyone conduct business with this dealership.
