The job was completed very quickly and the communication with me (Dad) was excellent. I remembered that 10 years ago my wife's minivan transmission was going bad. ****O had told us a new transmission was needed costing over $4K. I took it over to Lexington Transmission, and they discovered the tranny was just low on Oil and fixed the problem for about $100. This outfit is honest and trustworthy and therefore I recommend them highly.

Dad had taken a car here in the past, so when I was in the market to get my transmission fluid changed, Dad recommended that I take it here. In the past he'd had a good experience, which is the only reason I'm giving it a second star. Mom called and asked how much they charged the specific transmission service, a filter and fluid change. Dad is a retired mechanic, so he's picky when it comes to our cars, which is one reason that I leave these kind of tasks in his hands. He was adamant that the filter needed changed. Fast forward to when Mom and Dad both dropped it off, again clarifying that the fluid and filter to be changed or flushed. Mom picked it up and later learned that the filter wasn't changed and not also, not all of the fluid was changed. When they were questioned on it, they indicated that there wasn't a filter. Dad checked the fluid and it still looked dirty. When they were questioned on that part, they said that they weren't able to drain it all, so not all of the transmission fluid was changed! But they charged for the full five quarts, and they charged the same price for the job as quoted on the phone, with the filter change. If you get into a job and realize it's too difficult, or that you can't complete the job as originally planned, why charge the full price?! When Dad questioned the issue, the technician was hateful and made the comment about him wanting something for free. As a matter of fact, yes. After speaking with the dealership and confirming that there is actually transmission fluid filter, we are taking it to be changed and the fluid flushed. The dealership rate is double the price that will be paid to correct the job that Lexington Transmission didn't complete.

However after getting the Automobile back from them after the rebuild it had to be returned to the shop 4 times in 3 1/2 months because they hadnt fixed the Vehicle correctly, and every time I took it back they couldnt figure out what was wrong. The issue was finally resolved in January when they figured out that they had messed up the torque converter. Have had random issues with the transmission since then, leaking fluid etc. Fast forward 2 years later, the transmission is acting up so I took it back to them since they worked on it before ( Should have known better than that). After keeping it for one day( he told me it would be two days before he could even look at it..hmmm) The front office person stated that the owner would rather not open that transmission back up because he thinks something is wrong with it (they rebuilt the dang thing and it has less than 50000 miles on it since the rebuild!) However they were nice enough to tell me that they would happily install a remanfactured Transmission for $4500! YOU THINK? How nice of them to try to get more money for a job that wasnt done correctly in the first place. I am sure that they probably can do a decent job, and it may possibly be a one off with them messing up on my SUV( dont think so however because I have heard many stories lately) but I wouldnt recommend this place.

"U have merchandise that belongs to me and need returned ASAP. I'll ignore the fact of what you done but I will not let it rest until I have my toyota transfer case back immediately!! Get it back no later then next week or I will be seeing u: Don't take as a threat but guarantee that I will come see u for what you did was dirty and I will see u over this matter if my merchandise isn't returned in orginal good working order immediately!!!" -Justin Cockrell (General Manager at Camargo Transmissions) I tried to contact them to get the shipping info to ship back from them when I first received word from my Toyota mechanic at Toyo Tech that the part wasn't compatible with my car. The ebay listing said it was. This is bad business and the general manager at this place cannot be trusted. Take your money somewhere else.

He kept putting me off, saying he was 2 weeks behind. Finally he agreed to let me bring it on May 1, 2023. I called that morning and he wasn't in until 9 am. He called me back & said he was running behind could I wait till Wednesday & bring it. I did. Never heard a work so 5/19/23 I called to get status. His 'story' was he couldn't get parts, they were on backorder. Only parts needed were Power steering pump lines that were rotted and leaking and a transmission seal. I told him there are Internet websites where you can order parts. He says "yeah I know but they're on back order" (??). He was lying to me. I can tell when somebody is not being honest with me. So I had to go June 5th to get registration from glove box so I could send in the tax & license renewal. He still hadn't touched it. The glove box was messed up, not opening/closing right and covered in greasy hand/finger prints. I told him we really needed the car as both of us were sick and had so many appointments. He said the parts may be there on Wednesday. Surprisingly, he called me on Tues and said we could pick up the car. I went over the several things he had said was wrong and he said he had fixed all them. I picked the car up & he only charged $120. I asked him about the Glove Box not working right,, to which he replied " I don't know anything about the glove box, I was under the hood. The receipt he printed out said "repair transmission seal"...that's all. Got home and daughter noticed some serious scratches on the hood that was not there when we took it in. The entire time I worked with him on this car -over a month- he was rude, had an attitude and treated me like trash. It's like my money wasn't as good as somebody elses. I will never use him again and will tell everybody I know about his shoddy work and pissy attitude. He needs to hire somebody with a personality to manage his business and he needs to keep his head under somebody else's hood.
