Sales vs. Service…read more This is not the first time I've walked out of Leslie's feeling like their "customized treatment plan" was more about selling me extra chemicals than actually getting my pool balanced efficiently. My recent visit was yet another example. What Leslie's Recommended * Add nearly 9 lbs of Alkalinity Up to raise alkalinity. * Follow immediately with 7 lbs of Dry Acid (pH Down) to lower pH. The problem? Alkalinity Up raises both alkalinity and pH, and then Dry Acid lowers both alkalinity and pH. In other words, they tried to sale me a product to push my water one way, and another product to push it back the other way. The net result? My water chemistry ends up about the same, but I've bought twice the chemicals. What the Test Results Actually Showed * Free Chlorine: 0.2 ppm (dangerously low) * pH: 8.3 (too high, chlorine won't work well) * Alkalinity: 75 ppm (slightly low, but not critical) The real problem was high pH and no chlorine. The most direct solution was simple: * Add a moderate dose of pH Down (2.5-3 lbs). * Wait an hour, then shock with 4 gallons of liquid chlorine. This addresses the core issue immediately, allowing chlorine to sanitize effectively. Only after the pool clears and stabilizes should alkalinity be fine-tuned and in this case, it would take far less than the 9 lbs they prescribed. Why This Feels Sales-Driven Instead of recommending the one step I needed most (lowering pH so chlorine could work), Leslie's plan layered in unnecessary products, driving up cost. It's a pattern I've seen before: solve a minor issue (slightly low alkalinity) in a way that creates another imbalance (raising pH higher), then sell the counter-chemical to "fix" it. The Smarter Approach By following the simpler path, pH Down now, chlorine shock after circulation, then retest tomorrow, I'll know right away if the problem is under control. From there, I can decide if alkalinity even needs adjusting. This avoids chemical waste, unnecessary expense, and keeps the focus where it should be: on actually clearing the pool. Look for results tomorrow, I will follow up post. Final Take Leslie's missed the opportunity (again) to give advice that put my pool back on track quickly and cost-effectively. Instead of being a trusted partner in pool care, they came across as pushing product. The practical, stepwise approach works better and future testing will prove that good chemistry doesn't require buying half the aisle of chemicals. STAY TUNNED FOR UPDATED TEST RESULTS

I left a message to have a phone call returned twice and didn't receive one. When I was able to finally track her down, she was very rude and condescending. To the point I wish I never spent money with Fiesta. I didn't feel like a valued costumer. They opened my pool but wanted to charge me extra to tell me the state of my pool and equipment in an email. I feel if something was off about the pool they wouldn't have hasted to make some money off the repairs. Same way their chemicals are ridiculously overpriced. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! 2 stars just because of Mike the pool guy.

I did not receive a follow up email to confirm my appt or inform me of an appt. I called in and spoke with Kerri Record who let me know that email goes to spam sometimes and she would email or call me back with a date and let me know they put on cover. No email in spam. Week and a half went by with no communication, so I sent in email so I could know a date. She replied saying the date. On the day of while they were servicing I received a call from servicer saying they would not put on cover because it wasn't bought from them although I was not informed of that. Very frustrated with service as I stated I did not have prior knowledge of pools. Not a happy customer and will not be using them again.

Amazing company, so we decided to go with them. I had no idea customer service existed, this company was amazing. My pool flooded with mud and rocks, 9:00 they were here, they worked for two days, came back until it was spotless. I was shocked, I cannot believe how beautiful the craftsmanship is also. They are way more OCD than I am. Thank you Blue haven pools, making dreams come true, and I company I know I can trust. I have built homes and countless items, most often you have to babysit. This company was spectacular, the knowledge base was amazing. The design from start to finish. Each rock was hand picked, hand sculpted. It's not a pool, it's a work of art. If you want a pool that is special and unique, Blue Haven Pool and Spas is the right company. If you don't want to worry about perfection, make the right choice, Blue Haven Pools and spa. The waterfalls after a hard day at the office, wow. This company is highly recommended, and also a person I just meet recommended the company. These are things you don't take chances in. You are handing over large amounts of money on faith. This company has been around since 1950. My kids got burned by the wrong company. Don't take the chance, hire Blue Haven Pools.
