The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

Margaritas here can be made with tequila or rum, on the rocks or frozen. The ceviche is served with tortilla chips and saltines. Staff is polite and excellent and as a special treat a mariachi band frequents the beach and takes requests.

Besides the price (extra $127/night for a toddler), we had a wonderful experience - the food (both quality and variety), the well-kepted grounds, the amenities (Kid's Club, gym, pools) and the service are all top-notch. Food: there are food available from 6AM to 11PM. Some places I visited multiple times are: The cafe (opens from 6AM to 11PM) - coffee, tea and Frappe available all day. I usually stopped by after the gym (yoga near the beach at 7AM) to grab a iced latte and freshly baked pastires (dulce de leches cruffin is my favorite). Habaneros (opens from 12-6PM) - this is a casual spot serving tacos and ceviche on the beach. Even my toddler enjoyed the mixed ceviche with octupus. I enjoyed the ceviche, salmon toastada, and octopus tacos, while my toddler playyed with sand on the beach next to the table. Moongate (opens after 5PM) - the only restaurant that requires reservation, but for Teppanyaki ONLY. We were able to make a reservation for 5PM about 3 days in advance. The Teppanyaki chefs are all super energetic and made the experience fun for both kids and adults. We went back for dinner, and enjoyed some Asian Fusion dinner of ramen and sushi/rolls. My favorites include Short-rib, Teriyaki Salmon and the Omakase Nigiri. Trade Winds (opens for breakfast and dinner) - best steak in the resort. Last but not least, it took me 3 days to find my non-alcoholic drink of choice - strawberry mojito. I'm not a fan of the pina colada here, just FYI. One thing I don't like is the dolphins in captivity. I know it's a major attraction of the resort, and my kids honestly enjoyed watching the dolphins swim around and being trained. But it still makes me sad to see them contained in such a limited area.

It comes with its own food/drink service (although sometimes we didn't see them for long stretches of time). You also get a free 5 minute facial for two people and two complimentary coconuts. Highly recommend because the bench chairs get taken up early in the day with people who simply put towels on them and walk away. The views here are amazing. The water is warm and blue. When we arrived, we were greeted with FABULOUS music (their pianist is magnificent) and escorted to a special table for us. It was more than either of us could have expected: rose petals, fabulous place settings, and when we received the menus, we opened them to see, on the left side, Tina's special menu slip/greeting that read: "Happy Birthday, Dr. Tina" (nice touch). The meal itself was delectable! We were presented with a delicious lobster amuse bouche and we ordered a beef tartare to share. I have been eating less red meat lately, however if you're going to eat red meat, eat it here. The quality of the beef tartare was amazing and beautifully presented (as every other dish we ordered). For the second course, I ordered the corn soup. Best corn soup hands down! The flavor was out of this world. For our entrees, I had the duck (staple of the restaurant for 20 years) and Tina ordered the sea bass. My duck was soooo good and I tasted her sea bass which was very flavorful. For dessert, we had ordered (at beginning of meal) a chocolate soufflé which came out hot and delicious (and tasty but not too sweet, which I also appreciate). Then after our soufflé, they delivered a special additional chocolate cake with candle and 'Happy Birthday Dr. Tina' writing on plate, while they sang to us/Tina. It was very cute and sweet. So creamy and flavored.. the chicken and enchilada was very good too! Very tender and good tortillas! Their margaritas are good too!! They give out one free margarita each to all guest in party. The margarita is a must! In the ambiance is cool! It's located near La Isla as well! I will come back here !!
