Keeps your car cooler in the Texas heat and there are shopping cart friendly escalators to get your groceries easily back to the car. The produce selection at this Whole Foods is insane! Any type of produce that you could want or need can be found in either traditional or organic format. They also have an extensive seafood counter with very knowledgeable staff to help you make a selection. With a dedicated area for fresh sushi, a barbecue selection, freshly made sandwiches, prepared foods, a hot bar, and a salad bar all of your grocery needs can be met here. At the front of the store, there's also a fantastic coffee bar so you can remain caffeinated while you shop. They're seating area if you pick up a little something and want to have a bite to eat before or after you get your groceries. There's additional seating upstairs as well as an outdoor area. If you are an Amazon prime member, be sure to shop the sales to save a little bit of money. Weekly specials are designated with a yellow tag, and it shows the sale price as well as the further reduced price for Amazon prime members. And if you are a tourist visiting Austin, one of the more Instagram-able photo stops is at the corner in front of Whole Foods...the ATX sign.

I need Diet Coke and food that is bad for me too. We come here probably once or twice a week. The Amazon return center is super convenient. There's a self serve kiosk too. Major plus. Our second stop is juice land and then the hot bar & salad bar. I like being able to make a "girl dinner" lunch with a couple of bites worth of several things. We typically go to the roof to eat and to let the kids run around the playscape. If anyyyyy corporate Whole Foods people are reading this- can we please update the play area? Maybe add to it? Or make it toddler friendly? I know I'm being picky we just come so much and it would be a dream update.

Homeopathy (not herbal medicine or traditional medicine) is a scam. The "medicine" is water. A pharmacy is a place where we go to get reputable medications from educated medical professionals, not to be ripped off buying scam water. Selling these things is NOT harmless or neutral. People's Pharmacy, you are harming patients. It is unethical to sell homeopathy. Do not reply to my review with anything other than "We're removing homeopathy from our shelves," because I will not change my mind on this. Because of this, and the fact that they're slow AF, I get my cat's meds compounded at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Kentucky unless it's an absolute emergency. Kentucky has the cheap drugs for some reason.

I was greeted and seen promptly for the appointment, and I received a body scan using one of their machines which gives a print out of personal stats including body fat and muscle content, water content, etc. It was really fun to learn a little more about myself and my physical distribution. I also received a recommendation for a supplement to help with mild appetite suppression and fat burn which I am indeed curious to try. On a side note - I didn't look through all the pharmacy items because I was short on time but BOY did they have a selection in there! You have to be careful about just starting new meds because they can interact with prescription medications, but if you got a supplement cleared with your doctor, I'm fairly sure this place would have it. They also have ample parking out front, and are easy to find right off north Lamar.

Each one is amazing and that alone made the trip worthwhile. Happy Vegan, when will you open a food truck?! Strangely, the Happy Vegan booth was located off on its own, not with all the other food vendors. It would have been really helpful if the booth layout was a bit more organized for vendor types. My favorites were the vegan marshmallows (100% true to form) and vegan honey (delicious with a subtle apple flavor). Sweet Ritual ice cream was also really really good. VegFest let me easily sample several local vegan vendors that I had never been to, and if you can go with friends it's even easier to buy one item and split across everyone. Samples were plentiful, and they really packed a large number of different vendors in. I understand this was only the third VegFest, but their choice of vendors was odd at times. Overall, I really expected to see more of the whole-food based hot food options like Happy Vegan and Aster's. Overall, it was carb and fake-meat heavy, very commercialized. I'd like to see more whole food options and and less processed food and supplements. Put in some things like people selling herbs in pots, perfect for any vegan. I visited the Zilker Garden festival the week before and Texas VegFest would benefit from a good dose of "garden festival" and "farmer's market". I'd really love to see them expand to both Saturday and Sunday, too, as is typical for Austin festivals. A yummy way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

PERFECT?! Intriguing! The linguistics alone sold me. 20% of your daily recommended protein. Ingredients that I UNDERSTAND. That I would actually cook with. Very little sugar, gluten free... basically a protein bar that is way more delicious and lacks any weird shit I've never heard of. When I visited Whole Foods the other day, they were giving free samples of a protein bar. I countered with, "But have you tried The Perfect Cookie?" And began an uncharacteristically promotional rant. I think I convinced her. Yes, these facts are interesting but OH MY GOD. The flavor! I adore Grandma's Cookies (the brand) and this tastes EXACTLY like Grandma's.. but I don't feel horrible when I eat five. So dense and soft and decadent. I've tried all three flavors (macadamia nut and white chocolate, chocolate chip, and peanut butter) WAY too many times in the month since I've discovered this bliss and they are all fantastic. Why you gotta make cookies seem so harmless and good for me? THIS JUST ISN'T RIGHT. The HEB 20% off coupon isn't helping either.

I have not tried the cookies but the Oatmega Bars are awesome. When I don't have time for a sit down meal post workout I will occasionally pick up an Oatmega Bar from either Snap Kitchen or MyFit Foods. I usually cannot stand the chalky meh taste of "healthy" bars or they have more calories than I want. While I am not a fan of how their Dark Chocolate Peanut bar tastes, the Vanilla Almond is heavenly and the Dark Chocolate Mint tastes just like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie. All the bars are 190 calories, have 14 grams of protein, gluten free, have antioxidants from green tea and are loaded with omega 3s. Some of the ingredients include grass-fed whey protein, organic brown rice, organic raisins, non-GMO sunflower lecithin but warning to the vegetarians it does contain fish oils. They do not have a storefront but you can purchase a box online. They are also carried at some HEBs, Central Market, Fresh Plus, and I have seen them at some of the Snap Kitchens and MyFit Foods locations.
