Details: Saw a groundhog in yard a few times and then scuttling under deck. Catskill adc came out early next morning, set traps (out of direct sun so animal wouldnt suffer) and alerted me to check traps daily (again so animal wouldn't suffer). I had to be away so they came daily to check trap. Once caught they removed to release in nature. To prevent re occurrence They then built an exclusion barrier of wire set deep into ground and covered wire with wood trellis so it looks quite nice. I wish all vendors cared so much about their work.

There are two parts to any review for services like those Catskill ADC provides: 1) was it…read moreeffective? And 2) was the experience of having this services provided a positive one? Part 1: We hope so; it's only been a month but so far, no bat activity (Note used Catskill ADC primarily for bat exclusion or "bat-proofing" our home.) Part 2: Our experience was very unsatisfactory. We got a quote of $4,000 which seemed high, but we accepted it because he was so highly recommended by a friend. When the actual work got done, by Mark and one of his employees, it came to two work sessions totaling about 8 man-hours. ($500/man-hour!!) When we tried to have a conversation about this, Mark's response was that he had included 20 hours of travel time (ie commuting) to our site. For one thing, it's unethical to include travel time without pre-informing the customer. And the other thing is that even if 20 hours was ethical, it's still $200/hour. Finally, he said that we had agreed to the price, he had done the work, and that was the end of it, and if we delayed payment, we would face legal action. We confess that we are not experts in this field. Maybe bat experts do typically get paid that much, but if that's the case, it might have been explained before the work began, and absolutely should have been explained after we raised the question. Our advice to anyone reading this review is this: in your before-the-work discussions with Catskill ADC and all other providers, ask for an estimate of both the total cost and the man-hours involved. You'll have a better idea of what you're buying and fewer unhappy surprises as the work progresses.

I would not recommend Strictly Septic for home septic inspections. He showed up two hours late to…read moreour appointment. We had already left because we live far away and had a small time window. He did the inspection without us there. The septic had a problem, but instead of failing it and letting us know, he made a deal with the homeowner to fix it for them. When we tried to call him, he did not answer for days. When he finally did, he was rude and said since we were not paying him anymore, he did not need to answer us. He never gave us the inspection report. The work he did on the septic was poor. He used cheap (rock-filled) soil. We had to spend another $1,000 to fix it. Save yourself the stress and do not use them for septic inspections.

They were punctual, very nice and efficient. They showed me the problem and told me my options (which were really not many since my pump was dead). Price seemed reasonable. They even came back again after the water flow in the house seemed slow. No charge! Who does that? It was awesome. If you need your well fixed, check this company out.
