Brandon had already laid out some marquise for me beforehand so Sean showed be them again and then talked AT me and explained what I wanted was an elongated hex... thank you, thats great to know although both are correct. He explained what cut and clarity were. Not something I was confused about but again, thanks. He pulled up some from his source and told us how much they were and it felt as if he was trying to make us leave or scare us away by mentioning the prices. Then he asked for timeline and my boyfriend didn't wanna say exactly what the timeline was in front of me and it's like a switch went off and he just wanted us out of his store. He was like okay well here's my card and lmk when you guys are ready. And then we just sat there in an awkward silence for a moment cause he dismissed us so fast we couldn't even process we were being kicked out lol. Anyway... I had the previous stone removed as it wasn't salvageable and replaced it with a Ruby Star Sapphire (mine and my mom's favorite), which they helped me by sourcing. They brought in a few choices and allowed me to pick which stone I felt best fit the project. The basket required reshaping and extra work, but they did it so that the Star Sapphire fits beautifully. I love that I can carry around a piece of my mom. The ring shines and the sapphire has three star lines with indoor lighting and one distinct bright star in the sun. After doing some research I started frequenting the store looking for a few Rolex watches. Yes , I was very specific in my choices but always given the " NO " you can't have one for over 2 years. I came in every 4 to 6 weeks just to check and " NO" was the mantra of the sales staff. I was always told we have other watches for sale. Like who cares what ya have if ya can't provide what I desire. Now one amazing summer day I saw the $6400 41mm Celebration dial by Rolex in the case. My excitement level increased and I ask if it's for sale? The mantra is now uttered "NO NO NO" ! However something new that day happened and was shared by sales representative, I was actually told if you spend a $1,000,000 in jewelry it should be no issue to get that watch..... Now I was stunned by this statement so much I said are you serious and the person said YES! Well, that seems excessive and ridiculous and no I didn't drop a million to acquire the timepiece. I'll never forgot the arrogance of staff member of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelry and defiantly will not purchase anything from them. OK, now this is the happy ending of the story. I did manage to acquire The Celebration dial by Rolex elsewhere so I have that going for me. And on January 1st 2025 the BIG HAND OF THE CROWN aka ROLEX laid the smack down on ALVIN GOLDFARB & pulled authorized dealership away from store. No longer can they sell ROLEX.... KARMA saw the bad business practices by using Rolex watches to lure you into buying unwanted jewelry or non Rolex branded watches you don't want in order to maybe purchase a Rolex.
