I generally just wear my Apple Watch so this one was collecting dust, but when I tried to replace it myself, I dint feel confident and put the pin back. They were closed on Monday so I left a voicemail to confirm the service and just stopped by. Upon replacing the battery, she mentioned that there was a run missing to hold the watch strap in place and she offered to fix that as well for an extra couple bucks! I sat inside the establishment while we worked, and she got it all done in less than 10 or so minutes for under 40. It was rather pleasant experience, Would definitely recommend.

One day, my husband found the Watchworks on Google and gave it a try. He was very happy with the work, and he recommended me to replace my watch battery here. I actually got my watch battery replaced in Japan during a recent trip, but less than a year the watch started to stop suddenly. It would restart again if I turned the knob. Until one day, no matter how hard I turned the knob, I just couldn't get it moved again. I came to the Watchworks. I told Karen that I might have got a battery of poor quality, and I asked her to replace. She immediately replaced the battery, but the watch still couldn't move. She started to examine closely and identified the problem was on the movement, not the battery. She explained to me that she would need to order parts to get it fixed and that it might take a few more weeks. Two weeks later, Karen called and informed me that the shipment she had received was not good, so she had to reorder, which would take a longer time. Another passed, Karen called me that my watch was ready for pick up. I went to pick up my watch. My watch now is working again! Yay! The price was reasonable. The battery replacement costs $20. The total for movement repair and battery replacement was $65 + tax. It's hard to find such a reasonable price these days.

One being a Grandfather clock so it's not exactly move able. Called Boyd's and scheduled Jarrod for an evaluation visit. He showed up on time and inspected and evaluated all three clocks. Two were OK and just required some lubricant but the 40 year old grandfather clock needed a new movement. Jarrod located a new movement and gave us a very reasonable quote that included the new movement, installation and set up. Less than two weeks later the new movement was in and Jerrod came by the same day to do the install. About 1 hour later the new movement was expertly installed and running and chiming like it was brand new. So what an amazing experience with Boyd's Clocks. I reminded them that they had repaired it. I was told it was under warranty and that they would take care of it. A month or so passed and i called about the watch. I then got a strange response. She said they were waiting for me to decide if i wanted them to go ahead with the repair. I reminded her that we had agreed that the watch was under warranty from the previous repair. Although she recalled our previous conversation and she agreed to contact the repair person, I've gotten nothing but the run around. I can't even get my watch returned to me. Don't leave anything you value. You may not see it again. But you'll get plenty of the infamous Nortwest passive-aggressive behavior (admit no wrong, no accountability) just leave it dangling in mid air.

I took in a wedding ring crown that has 5 diamonds on it since I had lost one of the diamonds. Upon bringing it in, Josh let me know they could fix it and was already bagging it up without even giving a quote. I then asked for a quote since I'd gotten one from the original maker of the ring. I had let him know the quote he gave which was $390-425 was higher than what they quoted. But ultimately decided I'd rather have it fixed locally than send it out since I didn't want to wait (which I voiced verbally). He took a closer look and said they could do it for $425. I said okay because after shipping costs, it would only be ~$40 more than sending it to the maker. He said okay, and that he'd pick out the diamond today and I'd have it back the following week. 2 full weeks went by before it was ready so I was already a bit annoyed since that was likely the same turn around if I mailed it to the maker! But then when I went to pick it up, the price was $595+tax. I asked why the price difference (and refreshed his memory on our convo at drop off) and he just said okay we can do it for $495. So not only did it take just as long, but in the end after tax I spent over $100 more than what I would have spent if I sent it to the maker.
