Got my septum pierced here and the guy who did it seemed pretty knowledgeable. He did a great job at piercing (or so I thought ). Once he got the ring through he put the ball in to stay in place which was a big struggle for him. Once he got it he showed me with the mirror which at the time the ring looked a little crooked. He said it was because it was part of the swelling that's why and it would eventually look even. I took his word and left it alone. I also didn't try to move the ring for the ball to show until after a couple days of healing. I got it pierced Sunday 5/29 and on Tuesday when I got back to Az I tried moving it around. We'll sad to say it wouldn't move. Looking closer in my magnifying mirror I noticed the ring wasn't even all the way through. It was only pierced through my left side of the nose. I ended up having to remove it. Now I question whether he knew already since he didn't move the ring for the ball to show after he "pierced" it. Save your time and money! I even tipped him 20 bucks. read more

This is my third tat and by far the best for a few reasons. I got it on vacation, I had a pleasant artist, and the price was right. I just happened upon the shop while walking on Venice Beach. I went in there and was greeted by Andy. I liked that he quickly acknowledge me and then proceeded to chat with me about what I was looking for. I was uncertain about what I wanted, so he gave me a card and told me to call when I was ready. Well, I called him the next evening with a totally different idea and design and made an appointment to be his first client for next the day. I found a design online and he took it and tweeked it to make it something special. He was very professional & patient. It is a really AWESOME tat. He made PERFECTION!!! I've been getting pierced and inked on the boardwalk since I was 12. This is the first time I've had anything go wrong. I went in and the guy didn't offer his name or ask for mine. He marked my nose ansand I asked expressly if I'd be able to wear a ring later. He said yes and did the deed. When I got home I looked in the mirror and the stud had fallen out! I tried to put in another ring but it wouldn't go through. I went to another shop and they said the hole was too high and the jewelry too small. Will never come back here! I went to get a simple earlobe piercing on Saturday. I immediately noticed some irregularities. They didn't ID me, verify where I wanted the piercing, or make me sign any forms. Nevertheless, I still got pierced. After the initial pain of the piercing, I noticed the piercers fastened my earrings way too tight. But, I shrugged this off given it was my first piercing. They also made me pay before the procedure! Come 5 days later, my left ear is so swollen that it completely engulfed my piercing!!! I had to go to another shop to get my right ear loosened, and the earring in my left ear removed. Having them remove the backing and push the earring out my ear was so indescribably and intensely painful. Never will I go to a sketchy establishment like this again. This is your warning! read more

What an amazing experience. I've come over from the UK for 3 weeks and wanted to get another tattoo. I spoke to a few shops on Venice beach and this was the only one that really took an understanding as to what I wanted. When I walked in I was greeted by Jay, and he immediately put me at easy and we spoke about what I wanted. Now my new (and old tattoo) are very very personal and the respect I got from the shop when they found out what jay was designing for me was something I will never forget. All the staff were extremely respectful of the tattoo that jay designed. Jay in himself; is a great person, he really treated me like he knew me for ages, and nothing was too much for him. I was down here for a wedding and decided to get a spontaneous piercing. This happened to be the shop my step sister had just gotten hers done at so it seemed like a good option. It was a really weird experience for me. For starters, I have a really professional piercer in my home town that I'm used to. He's all pierced and tatted, super friendly, and makes me feel so comfortable... So when this guy didn't ask for my ID, didn't make me sign any paperwork AND didn't tell me his name I was a little put off. Plus he had zero tattoos or piercings, which again I found odd. But, I thought it was just my nerves and went along with it anyhow. He was kind enough to give me a discount, considering I was paying for my sister and I to both get our industrials done AND my stepsister had just had 2 piercings done less than an hour beforehand. I paid $105 for 2 industrial piercings (2/14/2016). I watched him open needles, and change his gloves at least twice while prepping my sister so I don't fear the cleanliness of the establishment. But he barely said a word, didn't tell you to breathe, nothing. He sat, marked, didn't even ask us to look at the dots, and shoved a needle through my ear. It was kind of a scary experience for me just because I'm used to the complete opposite, but hey- spontaneous piercings, what can you do. It's been about a week and it's healing fine. When I got home, I paid a visit to my piercer to have him look at it (because it was bleeding a lot) and while he wasn't wholly impressed, he said it was a fine piercing and that the swelling was his main concern. I have a little bump of cartilage on the edge of my ear this guy pierced right through, causing more swelling than I could have had- but hey, what are you to do. 2 stars for the weird experience overall. I think my main concern is the jewelry, I have a metal allergy so I'm hoping its at least a decent piece so my ear won't die, yay. I wouldn't recommend. Sketchy place, wish I had been less careless. read more

I went to Venice 6 months ago looking to get my nose pierced for a decent price (everyone was demanding $45 and up everywhere I looked). I walked into Buzzbomb and asked how much their piercings cost. The man working charged me only $25, so very good deal there. Geo did my nose piercing and he did an excellent job. He talked me through the process, then did it. He was very quick and virtually pain-free. I never got any infection or any swelling even. Thank you Geo! You did an excellent job and I will definitely come back for my next piercings. The only thing I would find controversial about Buzzbomb is that they did not have me sign any papers or waivers. read more

Me and some friends stumbled upon this place randomly and decided to get tattoos. This was after talking with another guy at the one further down that didnt even know how or what i wanted shaded. Needless to say, these guys were cool except one who tried to over charge my friend for the smallest tattoo was ridiculous. I had a pic printed on my phone and spoke to an artist named Luis. Super cool guy, explained what I wanted plus some additional shading and he said no problem. Tatt came out fantastic. Gave me a great deal and ended up doing a second one for my friend. Great work. Not sure about the other dudes but will definitely have some more work done by Luis. read more

I was in here on November 3rd And had the Worst experience! I'm so disappointed. It was my first time getting a tattoo and I was so excited but the vibe was awful. I felt like I was in a daycare! Wtf! A little girl was there running around and scootering up and down the walk way screaming the entire time. I'm assuming the dad was the loud obnoxious bald headed tattooed guy tattooing me because the little girl kept going in his station just acting hyper and whining calling him daddy who calls himself killmister. This is all happening while I was being tattooed. I had anxiety the entire time. I wanted to leave but he had already started tattooing me. I regret coming here. Why is he letting his kid run a muck in this shop?! I'm still in disbelief. For such a basic tattoo, it took him long to do maybe it was because he kept answering his phone yelling and being rude to some lady. Not to mention, when I first walked in, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted. Some guy at the front desk had his back turned to me the entire time. After about 10 minutes, a gentleman came from the back and asked if I needed help. He was welcoming, if only he tattooed me, maybe I wouldn't have been near kilmister and his daughter. So I went to get a tat with mi madre. We went all up and down the beach getting quotes. The tats we wanted weren't super elaborate, they were pretty small not too much detail. You wouldn't believe some of the prices we were quoted! it was ridiculous. Anyway we went back to Buzzbomb because they seemed the most reasonable and they shop was indoors, not all out in the open. The guy who did my tat, though very much a stoner, was a koo guy. We could laugh and joke he wasn't too serious. The woman artist in the shop was nice until something was asked of her, then the bitch came out. We only asked to borrow her printer geeze! But because she was getting no money out of it, she said no in so many words. Overall the place was koo, the people weren't completely friendly, but what tattoo artist not on reality TV is really all that friendly? I'd go again, especially because my tat is missing some things. A tattoo artist with a light hand is a blessing! read more

So this one time I was trashed and my friend pierced my labret with a safety pin. I had a 40 in one hand and a cigarette in the other. That piercing healed significantly better than my hip anchors did from Buzzbomb. For starters, the piercer (whoever he was) did zero consultation. I had to tell him my specifications and where I DIDN'T want the piercing. He said sure sure, marked my hips...unevenly... and then fixed them. Mostly. So, to anyone who hasn't had dermals, the process should be about a minute - tops. These were five or more minutes a piece of him digging into my skin. Nope! So, naturally, he didn't place them where I wanted and they were uneven but I just said screw it, let it be, it'll heal. 6 months later? Didn't heal. Wound up getting a referral to a piercer who actually knows what he's doing and, when he removed my dermals, showed me what was wrong - the placement was wrong (I specifically said NOT by my jean waistband, he put it exactly there) and the jewelry was cheap surgical steel anchors. If you look up an anchor it typically has three holes which are supposed to be perfect circles for skin to knit around. Mine? Not so much. And they were bent. Maybe that's why it took him so damn long to pop them in. So, there was money wasted and two of my piercings gone. So long and farewell. Tl;dr - DO NOT get pierced here. read more

Terrible with sketches. Paid $53 as a deposit for a sketch. He didn't draw whatsoever. I gave the picture to use for reference. I indicated what to remove and what to add. All he did was print, cut and paste a bunch of pictures off the internet. No artwork put together. Said it would take an hour. It looked like it took 5 minutes. Never been to a tattoo parlor like that if that's what you would call it. It comes off more as a cut and paste store. I'd give less than 1 star if I could. read more

I don't usually yelp, but i was curious on other people's experiences and figured I'd share mine. Like a lot of people it was a random decision with friends. I went it this past week to get a second piercing on my lip bottom lip done to make spider bites. Everything was all good till I noticed the way the guy pierced my lip. It didn't go straight thru like my first I got done years ago , but its like he went into my lip, then down to where it comes out crooked (If that makes any sense) to where I wouldn't be able to put a hoop in if I wanted too. When I told him this he was like no no its koo even though I knew it wasn't. Old boy didn't tell me how to take care of and like others have said was very formable when I was getting it done . Its still healing of course 2 days later, but it hurts like a mug! More then my first one. So I figured I'll let it heal first before I go and take it out or get it redone. Highly disappointed in it and this place. Definitely wouldn't go there again even if it was free. And this is only speaking on the piercing experience. read more

I went to get a tattoo done on October 12th 2017 the tattoo artist Jose did it for me he did a good job I'm not putting in a bad word for him but when I was finished with my tattoo they convinced me to buy a lotion it's called H2Ocean and it was ten bucks so I bought it from them come home look at the bottle and it's expired and it has been used.. this must have been the worst experience I've ever had in my life unprofessional and rude. Never going back here ever again they can kiss One customer goodbye and God knows how many several others.. please you guys refrain from coming here these people will rip you off.. this store needs to be shut down for selling expired lotion read more
