This is my second time getting my nose piercing. I was a walk-in and Baron was super quick and super gentle. The location is a great vibe. read more

I came here with my family to get my daughter's nose pierced. Barron was cool, professional, handles you with care and has great customer service. My daughter said her piercing did not hurt afterward it's been two days and still she says it doesn't hurt or bother her. We will definitely be back. read more

Got my first tattoo here, and let me just say...if you're going to let someone stab you with a needle thousands of times, this is the place to do it. Baron made me feel comfortable, walked me through everything, and gave me clear instructions for the healing process ("No hot ass water!"). He has a light, steady hand. I was so happy with my fine line tattoo that I got a second one months later! read more

Baron is awesome, highly recommend checking out this business. Excellent creativity & customer service.

Got my nose pierced here in 2020, it healed beautifully and has given me 0 problems. I called ahead and walked in same day. No appointment needed for piercings. I recently came in to get a second nose piercing and a tragus. I have a low pain tolerance so both were painful but my experience was wonderful. Baron was funny and reassuring. I texted the night before because it was a holiday but again no appointment is needed for piercings. read more

Was nice and took decent care of my piercing, but didnt ask for ID or have me fill out any consent forms. Also didnt disinfect the skin, or have me rinse with mouthwash (lip piercing). Probably will not return. read more

Baron is the man! He is extremely busy, so be sure to book your appointments with time. I was super lucky, I called over the phone and got in the same day (literally minutes later) so that he could do my tragus and rook piercing in between one of his tattoo appointments. Baron made sure to explain the piercing's care routine and even told me about and gave me one of the sea salt/tea tee oil sprays. One of my rings fell out and he replaced it as soon as I came back in without a problem. He is a charismatic guy and all of his clients in the room also seem to love him. Check out his shop for your tattoo or piercing needs! read more

Piercing Review This place is in a strip mall near Manchester and Florence/Aviation (Inglewood people get this lol). When you drive up, you don't see the place; you have to park and walk through to the back area, but there's a sign in the front. You don't have to make appointments for piercings; you walk in. I took my little sister to get a septum piercing because he friends recommended this place. We walked in, and the place wasn't busy on a Sunday, and Baron was quick. She's not good with pain at all, and she loved her new piercing. We were done within 20 minutes. He also offered us aftercare for the piercing. It's optional but recommended. The price was reasonable--$ 50 for the septum piercing. There are cheaper places, but you must think about infections and whatnot. I will recommend this place to family and friends. read more

I reluctantly went in for a cover up of an 30 year old tattoo. I was so afraid to get the coverup because of the pain that I experienced from the first tattoo. Baron was so patient and funny but quick. He made my experience so much better. He was professional, creative and listened to my vision. I am happy with my results. read more

I was nervous going for my first tattoo ever, especially knowing its permanent and I am picky with how I want my tattoo to come out. I am super happy that I can call Baron my tattoo artist. He was able to do a custom tattoo for me with the images I provided to him and made them even better then I could of imagined. He is a funny guy and the atmosphere within his shop is great. He is as real as an artist can get. Lastly his pricing and time to work on tattoos are insanely great, No one prices more fairly then Baron, he even will help you ensure that the tattoo is within your budget and both of my tats are big pieces that took less then 4 hours, but the effort he puts in are like if the tattoos were his own. I can assure you I will be back for more tattoos from Baron! read more

Came for a walk in appointment a few months ago for a re-piercing. It went quick handled carefully and was inexpensive!

I was searching for a tattoo shop local to me and everyone I found was either booked up, rude, overpriced or all of the above. This was my first REAL tattoo and I'm not good with needles. I found Monkeyface here on Yelp and gave them a call. Baron was friendly and told me to come on in. Your girl came in Saran Wrap and numbing cream ( told you I'm scared of needles) he smiled, made me feel at ease and prepped me. The process was smooth and professional. He's a big guy with a feather touch. I was embarrassed I made such a nervous mess because his vibe was professional and relaxed. Tattoo was affordably priced and well done. I've since gone in 7 more times and have no plans to stop going! Do your research and let Baron work his magic on you! read more

Y'all! Omgoodness. Top tier. TOP TIER. Ok? I got the best (and cleanest) two tattoos I have ever had in life from this shop. Come here. Location - centrally located and very easy to get to (it's in the shopping center right when you make that right turn off of Florence onto Manchester). Parking was free and I had no issue finding a parking spot. Finding the actual shop amongst the other shops was pretty easy -- just get onto the walking path and walk it to the rear of the center and you'll run right into it. Cost - very fair and reasonable. No complaints there. He was upfront about the cost at the outset, as opposed to some of these artists who hide the ball as far as their fee structure and costs. Anyway, fair and reasonable is my verdict. Artist - both of my tattoos were by Baron, who was real chill (and ladies: very good looking and charismatic--sis, for additional commentary on the subject, just dm me lmfao). Anyway, he's very down to earth, calming, and really gentle. I barely felt the one behind my ear! Barely (*donna goodeau voice). On top of all of that, he was extremely precise with the lines on my tattoos, both of which are pretty dainty, which requires really good hand control. Clearly, he has excellent hand control because the precision on both of my tattoos is GIVING! I am so happy with both of them--they're literally perfect. I've never been happier with a tattoo. I HIGHLY recommend that you schedule your next tattoo at this shop, with Baron. Smooches! read more

This semi-coverup placed over a removed tattoo is total perfection. And, look, the little bee has fuzzy hair, lol... Had this done a few weeks ago and now that it's healed, posting my review. Baron is a skilled artist who is open to personal ideas and I'll be back for sure. His schedule is busy and you may have to wait a few weeks for an appointment, but it's totally worth it, as you can see. read more

Called ahead for piercing. The piercer advised me that gold was better than surgical steel and that I should utilize it for a nose piercing. The cost for surgical steel is $40 and $60 for gold. I agreed and was ready to proceed. However, he nor the other workers were wearing masks. I asked if he was willing to wear a mask during my piercing and his response was, "if it's a big deal to you, then yes." Wow!!! Considering all the COVID related deaths, you would think he'd A) already be wearing a mask and B) would go out of his way to make me comfortable. This completely turned me off and I left. Not wearing a mask at SUCH a sensitive place of business during a pandemic is careless and reckless! I am disappointed. read more

I had one of the greatest experiences. The place and artist were highly recommended and he did not disappoint. Baron is personable, funny and quick witted. From the moment we walked in we had a good time. The place is like a hidden gem, in an almost hidden corner. We were greeted, consulted on what I wanted and decided to wait as he was tattooing someone. He managed not only to carry a conversation with the client but included everyone there in it. I observed him sanitize, change gloves and clean work are after every client and consultation. I got a dainty tattoo on my forearm- a rose with the words be brave as the stem. Baron has a light hand so there was only very minor discomfort during shading. The conversation and joking between my husband, Baron and other walk ins almost made me forget I was getting inked. It was very pleasant to see the conversation carried naturally throughout our time there. I also repierced my nose and a labret. He was so careful and gentle that I felt the smallest amount of pain. That was great considering scar tissue. He provided me with care instructures for both piercings and tattoo and advised what to stay away from. All are healing nicely. Going forward this is the only spot I'll come and refer people to. Thank you Baron for our crazy, deep conversation! read more

I'm cracking up over here reading these reviews! I'll agree that Baron does have a way about him... a bit of sarcasm, which I didn't mind. He made me laugh! I felt comfortable. Maybe he's not your cup of tea, then try coffee, LoL. I went in for a cartilage piercing. We disagreed on the placing but he gave me what I asked for. I've had it done twice before and it never healed properly. I appreciate Baron because he gave me the best aftercare advice I have ever received. The tea tree oil spray is working wonders. My piercing is healing much better than the others had. I'd definitely go back. read more

Quick and friendly service. Came for a nose ring and left happy. I took out my old ring to switch to another one and found out it wasn't real and was just gold plated. I knew immediately because my piercing started to swell, but no worries for me because Monkey Face Tattoo came to my rescue! I called first to see if he had rings and said that he only had one. I went to check it out and because I didn't want my piercing to close bought it. It's a good fit, is real gold as promised because it doesn't hurt and it's cute! Thanks Baron!! I didn't take a picture of it because I had to hurry up and put it in, but it's cute! read more

I impetuously got a nose piercing at a street festival and started to notice swelling by the next day and some bleeding. I got concerned and reached out to Baron. He suggested I come so he could take a look. One look and he knew what the issue was. Removed the first piercing, placed the right length piercing and backing and sprayed it with this divine elixir that smelled like HEALING and sent me on my way. It feels so good now I have to keep looking in the mirror to remind myself I got my nose pierced. It's pretty! Thank you Baron Davis you are THE MVP!!!!! read more

I love being in his shop! I love my tattoo and love his personality!

Very disappointed with our visit to this shop. Drove about an hour and waited almost another hour to get a tattoo. We were recommended to this place because someone got a couple tattoos here. unfortunately the customer service in this shop was beyond inappropriate and unprofessional. Won't be back and would not recommend if you care about getting treated with respect. Disappointed, the owner will treat you poorly. Never again. Also Baron the owner is very creepy and makes you feel super uncomfortable that way he talks to you. For you young ladies out there be Carfule Bc this guy is hella weird and super sketchy pedi file status. I would never go back to this place ever again please trust me you will be very disappointed. Don't waste your time going here. read more

If they had a zero I would use it. Do not go this shop Barron is very rude. This so called artist goes find a picture on his iPad prints it out put the drawing on my skin, and tattoos it how is that an artist ? shoot I can do that. This dude is a straight clown someone who was able to get out the pen, and run a business. Tattoo artist have changed. When I walked inside his shop I wasn't even greeted this was his exact word " Are you the one who owes me money?" I was like dude I don't even know you. Come to find out he was confusing me with someone else. The work is good because he is not an artist. The tattoo I got he literally went on a iPad found the font pasted it on my arm then went over it with the tattoo gun then charged me $300 Basically what this guy is doing is charging so we can pay his rent for the spot he is in. That's why I no longer use LA artist. What's sad is this dude Is not even from LA. I'm from Inglewood. I'm LA. read more

I absolutely love Monkey Face and will continue to go there until I die or less dramatically decide to stop getting tatted. Despite my extreme fear of pain and needles, I love tattoos. Especially when Baron does them! He is amazingly talented (#gifted) and has been tattooing forever and you can tell by his extreme attention to detail and craftsmanship. I can easily go in with a concept and he will help me transform it into the perfect tattoo for me. Not to mention I was having some troubles with a previous piercing I received at a another shop and he helped me disinfect the piercing and make it look and feel beautiful again. He does not overcharge and his prices are very reasonable considering the amazing work that he does. I love this place! Thank you Baron!! read more
