We made reservations and went last night. I often find the precursor to a restaurant experience is how you are greeted (or not greeted) when you walk in the front door. They provided an extravagant, warm welcome. We were seated and our server, Logan, was at our table promptly. He explained their drink menu. They do not serve beer, gin, or vodka, but do serve wine and a VAST number of whiskeys. Their specialty drinks are all made with whiskey of some sort. Loan explained all of this and we each ordered one of their speciality drinks that were well made. The menu is large enough to fufill most tastes but small enough to excel and they did excel. Every morsel of food was excellent and our service was, in a word, perfect. Even when leaving we were asked how our meal was and our departure was just as delightful as our welcome. Our room, two queens with an accessible roll in shower, was huge. The living area was painted salmon, the beds were modest height, platform style, and the bathroom was deep fire engine red tile with a funky turquoise swirl sink platform. Saucy! Vintage faucets in the roll in shower, which was complete with a bench and well set up. The room also had a table and an accent chair. The rooftop restaurant/bar is another vintage charmer with two interior rooms and a large outdoor space. Cocktails are superb; sadly we didn't have enough time to eat. There is a jazz club on the first floor, with its own external entrance. It was a $10 cover one of the nights we were there but that is fine. This being NuLu, there are loads of bars, restaurants, and distilleries within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, and the valet drop off is conveniently in a wide alley off Market, so you don't have to deal with the bike lanes and street traffic.

It's more of a boutique hotel so there's no fitness center, but I needed the break anyways so I'm not complaining. It's also right by tons of restaurants like Royals Hot Chicken, a popular ice cream spot, coffee, etc. all there outside the hotel. I do wish I was able to experience the rooftop but it was closed both evenings I was there due to a private event. All in all, a win!
