I needed some light carpentry woodwork done outside my house. Long story short he estimates 1600 do the work. He does the work is paid upfront and within a few months all his work starts to peel, buckle and fall apart. I know I'm an idiot for asking this guy to do the work in the first place. Point taken which is why I never went public to complain - until now. While interviewing several contractors to instal a new furnace I learned that a few years back Kevin charged me for a new liner (around $1200) and never installed it. I now have to pay again to have a chimney liner installed. Hopefully this time I will actually have one installed. He also never returned the keys to my house which he asked to have to incase he needed to use the facilities while working here. The guy is sweet as pie to your face but an absolute crook! An expensive lesson learned in hiring contractors. Always always interview several.
