5-Star Review - Exceptional Service & Reliability! As someone who owns and manages multiple properties, including investment properties, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy contractors. Aspen Chimney Service has consistently been my go-to for all of my personal properties, investment properties, and properties under our property management company. Kevin, the owner, is great to work with. He is highly skilled, experienced, professional, and committed to providing excellent service. His attention to detail, quality of workmanship, and dedication to customer satisfaction are exactly what I look for when establishing long-term business relationships. When you're responsible for multiple properties, you need a company that understands the importance of communication, efficiency, safety, and getting the job done right the first time. What sets Aspen Chimney Service apart is its consistency and integrity. Whether it's routine maintenance, inspections, or more extensive chimney work, I know I can count on Kevin to provide dependable service and professional recommendations. In property management, your vendors are a direct reflection of your business, and Aspen Chimney Service is a company I feel confident putting my reputation behind. I highly recommend Aspen Chimney Service and Kevin to homeowners, real estate investors, property managers, and anyone looking for a chimney company they can trust. They've earned my continued business, and I look forward to working with them for years to come! read more

I wanted to bring something to your attention that I hope you'll take seriously. I've noticed one of your company trucks driving through a school zone at a speed that seemed well over the limit. It's important to be extra cautious in these areas--kids are unpredictable, and safety should always come first, especially in a branded vehicle that represents your business. I'm sharing this here in hopes it's just a one-time oversight and not a pattern. Please remind your drivers to take extra care around schools. It reflects on your company more than you might realize. read more

Aspen chimney service has been ghosting me over chimney repairs I paid for over 9 months ago. Made several appointments for an employee to come out and fix the cracks in the chimney. I've been ghosted 4 times and was unable to get in contact with anybody for several months in between. I would not recommend doing business here. I will be paying somebody else to do the work I've already paid Kevin for. read more

I would not recommend doing business here. Aspen chimney service has been ghosting me over chimney repairs I paid for over 9 months ago. Made several appointments for an employee to come out and fix the cracks in the chimney. I've been ghosted 4 times and was unable to get in contact with anybody for several months in between. Tired of taking time to make sure I'm available for somebody to come service for nobody to show up. Update: I had Warrington Chimney and Fireplace come out to take a look at the chimney. They told me that there was never even any work needed to be fixed to pass certification & inspection. The owner is an absolute scam artist who gave me an estimate & took payment for work that wasn't even necessary, then didn't even complete the work. Save yourself time, money, and hassle. Do not contact this 'business'. Warrington Chimney and Fireplace did not even charge me for coming out to give a second opinion. I'd recommend taking your business there instead. -End Update- read more

took money for a job and did not complete the work. Ghosted and have not been able to contact them for months even though the work is still not completed. This guy should be in jail. read more

Unresponsive to calls. Took money and is unresponsive to requests to actually do the work that was agree upon. I do NOT recommend this service and would consider going elsewhere. read more

I'm reading these reviews and its hard to believe this is the same company that serviced my chimney. i had an adorable young man named Daren arrive with booties on so as not to dirty my carpet, go immediately to my roof and fix a chimney cap that was deemed broken by a home inspector during the inspection of my house in a recent sale. He even took a picture for me of the finished job to present to the new owners. i found this "beyond the call" and would recommend Aspen Chimney Service to anyone. As for me...I have been told I'm very picky and hard to please...but then this isn't a review of me... when you call Aspen, ask for Daren, you will not be disappointed. read more

We called to have our chimney cleaned/inspected and was given a price over the phone. When they came out for the service the bill was higher than the original quote. No extra services were provided. The service man said he doesn't know why they gave us that price on the phone. To make matters worse, they broke our flue. It worked before their visit. As they were opening and closing it they had some difficulty and broke it, my husband over heard them say they will just take a photo of it and say it was broke before hand. They wrote the over priced bill up and recommended a new flue. Really? Thanks for nothing. Now we have a cold air draft blowing through the chimney worse than ever and a broken flue. We need to find a good reputable company to have something fixed that was not broken to begin with. Needless to say we are very disappointed and would not recommend their services. read more

Got a chimney cap beginning of October. Blew off a little over a month later. Wanted to charge me another $85 after already paid over $500 to get the cap put on along with fixing the cement. Would not recommend this service. read more

Absolutely awful! While at my house to do a Chimney Certification for a U and O license, I ask the owner( I'm pretty sure the only employee except the wife that answers the phone) Kevin if can do any other work. I needed some light carpentry woodwork done outside my house. Long story short he estimates 1600 do the work. He does the work is paid upfront and within a few months all his work starts to peel, buckle and fall apart. I know I'm an idiot for asking this guy to do the work in the first place. Point taken which is why I never went public to complain - until now. While interviewing several contractors to instal a new furnace I learned that a few years back Kevin charged me for a new liner (around $1200) and never installed it. I now have to pay again to have a chimney liner installed. Hopefully this time I will actually have one installed. He also never returned the keys to my house which he asked to have to incase he needed to use the facilities while working here. The guy is sweet as pie to your face but an absolute crook! An expensive lesson learned in hiring contractors. Always always interview several. read more

I would never use Aspen Chimney Service again. They have $85 as a price on their website for a dryer clean out and he charged $95. The owner Kevin said that this is an old website and that he is not web savvy and therefore doesn't know how to change the prices. Unacceptable business practice! read more

Epitome of UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They tried to sell me something that I didn't need. It took me several calls and several missed appointments on their behalf to get them out to find out they are trying to sll customers work they don't need. Extremely unprofessional, They looked at my chimney and told me it looked good, then the one worker called his boss to report his findings, 5 minutes late he comes back to me and says my certification failed, I will need to spend $2700.00 for a new chimney liner. They are just trying to extract money and work out of people when their work is not necessary. I feel that I just got ripped off for $150.00. Stay away from this company you have been warned! read more

Fishing company ... I have hired them to inspect my chimney. Even though I have a liner, the guy told me that my chimney does not have a liner. He gave me a price out of his head immediately 2000$!!!!! He grabbed 170$ (225$ was before negotiation) for nothing but just couple of words. Definitely, I did not hire him. I hired another company called chimney scientist 79$ for inspection. There are much cheaper and reliable companies out there. This company is fishing. read more

Made an original appointment months ago. They kept changing because they were so "busy". Showed up early by an hour to the third appointment today. Spent all of 15mins "sweeping" my fireplace and then overcharged me. I asked to take bill and work w/my landlord to determine method of payment over 7 days. Team sat in my driveway for 30mins until the owner could reach me to demand immediate payment. Clearly just about doing a shoddy job and getting paid asap. Do Not Use- Find a guy who actually cares about cleaning chimneys and does it on his own. read more

I wish I had read this reviews BEFORE I had hired this company. The owner, Kevin Kenney & Aspen Chimney Service came in claiming my gas fp's "were not to code" and therefore he could not in good ethics, repair them and/or inspect them. Sold us on a "Level 2 Inspection" and never performed such. Only AFTER being on site in our home did he explain that this required us to, literally, cut open walls, etc!?! I began to distrust him when he glanced at the 2nd gas unit (GLANCED!) and told me how it "wasn't to code". Went on to tell me he "wasn't familiar with the mfr of our gas units and would do some research. Also offered to provide a detailed written report. Also never cleaned our masonry fp - claiming he required special equipment to do so. Hired another company to look at gas units, found that each and every thing Aspen claimed was wrong and not to code was false. Said company repaired the units on the spot (simple ignitor cleaning) AND provided Level 1 certification - which was all they said was necessary! Aspen never provided the detailed written report promised and blamed the USPS. When I offered it to be sent via email (which he also had from the get go) - surprise - it still has not been rec'd. Contacted the BBB about this company and you should see the unbelievable lack of professionalism in his various replies... in which he refuses to refund our money. Actually claimed, in writing, that he RECORDED MY HUSBAND!! NOTE: This is illegal in the state of PA as PA is a 2 party notification state! In addition, in his last reply, he stated that "he looks forward to going to court". Ding, ding, ding consumer - NO business should "look forward" to that! No business should force the hand of a consumer by refusing to settle a difference without going to court! BUYER BEWARE! read more

Very poor work on the furnace hot/water heater vent..All the goop fell out..All they used was some aluminum foil that I had already used as a temporary fix.I even offered wire and more bricks or security but Mike assured me that this stuff was the real deal and he had everything he needed. My gas is still off as the job was flagged...... I am hoping that I can get my money back since I had to pay someone else to do it right...Oh and suddenly all three flues from my chimneys are gone!! Maybe they are up on the roof?! Could that actually BE...Believe me, I believe one is innocent until proven otherwise...I searched all over my house looking for the flues to my fireplaces just to give some crazy benefit of a doubt here....I know I have never ever had them removed, never! Now I hope these men come back and do the right thing. They did my gutters too but ignored a down spout that was breaking away from the wall because of the dead whysteria...yeeks haste makes waste. And I wasted a hell of a lot of money on all of this this. They did try to accommodate me and my husband as they went along but if it was to much to do it right they should have declined and I wouldn't have got taken by the nose!!! I really hope this all gets straightened out..my chimney flues... really? I did read that there are scammers that will tell you a whole lot of yada about a liners being needed and it's dangerous not to have those repairs done and flues are worth money because of the iron and the resell to fireplaces in old homes. However I was told that my chimneys were in good shape and I was pleased and happy to pay for the chimney service. But all ran amuk when the goop drooped..and the sad revelation that all my flues are gone...unless they are up on the roof...yeah right. C.mon Aspen make this right!!! read more
