It's a greenhouse that has all sorts for fruits, vegetables, pumpkins, frozen fruits and etc. Prices for items are pretty good and they also offer boxes for vegetables that are "seconds" for like $5. They carry jams and such from local and local-ish places. The inside is well set up and the have a little area inside that has some antiques and such. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Another year, another trip to Wilbert's! My partner and I made our second annual quest for the…read moreperfect tree this past weekend, this time with our puppy along for the ride. Wilbert's is a MASSIVE Christmas tree farm that spreads across both sides of Salt Road. They have pre-cut and u-cut, with the u-cut being significantly cheaper. We grabbed a saw and a cart and went on our journey. We probably should have gone across the street to hunt for our tree, as the POSTED SIGN suggested. I am sure there is a safe way to cross the street and get to another path of trees, but the dog was being annoying and we needed to get a move on hence...we went to the more baren side of the field. After finding some potentials that were dead on the inside, we landed on our perfect (slightly smaller this year) tree! The wrap up process is really easy and they even provide twine to adhere the tree to your car. You can show up with nothing, chop down a tree, and drive away with it all with the complimentary materials they have on hand. When I lived in an apartment, I headed down to the boy scout Christmas Tree station that was walkable from my house, and I think they were charging ~$65 per tree. Not the case at Wilbert's where a u-cut will only set you back $45. I highly recommend grabbing your fam and your pooch and heading to Wilbert's this holiday season!

I'm not sure how many different kinds of trees they have but i know it's more than 3. I don't know all the names of the kinds of trees because we always went for a Douglas fir. Each entrance has a team of guys and girls to check you out, shake the tree, cut off the bottom branches and help you put it on the car. They also have manual saws for you to borrow. The price does seem to go up every year which I'm not fond of but that's what keeps them in business I guess. They also sell wreaths and precut trees at a lower price. It's a great place to go to keep up a tradition and if you want a real tree for Christmas

I dropped off three tube feeders during the week and got a call over the weekend to pick them up. The service is free, but they take donations for Wild Wings (excellent non-profit in Mendon Ponds Park that cares for animals who are too injured to live in the wild). The Bird House does have a wide range of bird seed and feeders, but there are plenty of gifts, games, and decor to keep you browsing for a while. They have birding and garden books, binoculars, and jewelry. My father-in-law is outdoorsy, so we put together a gift basket of some hand tools, a bird seed scoop, and some squirrel repellent items (all natural!) I also saw that they do a free puzzle swap on occasion. If you like gardening or birding (or know someone who does) this is a great place to check out.
