Everything in the store is vegan - from clothes to candles to cards to plants and basically anything else "aesthetically pleasing" you can dream up...I am hooked! Owner Brenna brought Cleo + Kin here from San Diego and brings her own special vision (AND her own fragrances and candles!) to this boutique. It's in the newly popping section of Schoen Place with Copper Leaf, Dolce Cupcakery, and Label 7. I highly recommend a stop by when you're in the Pittsford area!

Breathe At Home feels like walking into the apartment of that one friend who travels everywhere and…read moresomehow has impeccable taste in everything. The merchandising here is the real draw. Home décor, gifts, skin care, kids clothes, coffee table books, and accessories all sit together in a way that should feel chaotic but instead feels curated and intentional, almost like someone designed each vignette as its own small scene. I found myself slowing down and actually looking at things instead of speed shopping, which says a lot about how the space is laid out. If you've been to Feste in SoHo (NYC), The Glass Box in Chapel Hill, Parkleigh in Rochester, or Peppercorn in Boulder, you know the vibe I'm describing. It's that specific kind of shop that blends gifting, beauty, and home goods into something that feels more like a lifestyle than a store category. I left with a stack of GEOMETRY kitchen tea towels, Agent Nateur toothpaste, a square, moth-patterned mango wood tray, and a pair of Izipizi reading glasses. None of those were on my list when I walked in, which feels like the whole point of a shop like this. There's a wide range of price points too, from small everyday gifts to bigger investment pieces, and normally you'd need to hit 15 different stores to pull together a haul like mine. You can even order directly from their website: https://breatheathome.com Pittsford's Main Street is full of charming storefronts, but this one stands out for how thoughtfully it's put together. The staff struck a nice balance of being warm without hovering, which made browsing easy and unhurried. There's street parking right out front, plus a lot behind the shop if Main Street is full. There are also several ADA parking spots in back.

So I follow Breathe and Breathe at Home on Instagram. This is part of the Breathe Yoga family. I…read moresaw some things on the page and on an instagram story and wanted to check out the place and maybe pick something up. This is a free standing store when you walk in it's soft colors you smell some fabulous candle burning (it was Grapefruit Pine which I did purchase) lots of totems and crystals, Buddha's, perfumes, oils, books, Sage sticks by Catherine Rising and home and furniture items and a bit more. It's not a large store but well thought out with just enough things. They do have some interesting gifts to give to that hard to please person as things are different and unique. I'm sure if you are not feeling it you can get a gift card. Staff is friendly and helpful. They greet you warmly but a plus they are not all over you. Now this place is not Inexpensive so understand that. The candle I bought was $30 for a better candle it's not bad but the larger one in a mercury glass type of vessel is $70. Furniture is priced at certain points and etc. Don't let the prices detour you to come in a take a look around. I will come back for sure. Do yourself a favor and read the receipt as you have a very small time frame to return.. I believe it's 7 days. So if you have buyers remorse make sure it's in perfect condition and not used for a refund. I am sure it's because they have other locations that have retail attached to the Yoga Studios and wherever you bought the item it needs to go back to that store. So... this store is a few doors down from Breathe Yoga. It's on Main Street in Pittsford. Street parking and they also have a lot in the back I believe but I was able to easily park on Main Street. If your in the area go give it a visit it's a lovely store.

I know where it used to be, but it isn't there anymore. I tried walking the entire length of Schoen Place AND Northfield Commons, but found nothing. In other words, if this store is still in existence, they must be in "stealth mode." Good luck finding them. (According to their website, they are open today! Ha ha ha ha ha.)

I didn't even realize that I had stopped in on new release Tuesday, so I was especially delighted to find a whole bunch of books that had been on my list to find and purchase being freshly put on display in the front of the store. Lovely, welcoming, and service-minded staff that are happy to assist in all your book-related needs *OR* just let you wander the store aimlessly (as I did) to pick up anything that grabs your attention for purchase. Great selection of books and gifts, wonderfully organized, easily available street parking, and overall just such a gem of a shop. I especially loved the "blind date with a book" selections that came with little summaries of each book. I ended up with "Mystic River" after picking a psychological thriller with dark and emotional crime stories, estranged friendships / childhood trauma, murder investigations, and working class settings as my featured themes. I remember watching the movie years ago, but had never read the book... so now I'm super excited to dive in. TL;DR Setting the bar high on the independent bookstore scene in ROC. Beautiful towels for hostess gifts ( not everyone wants wine when your invited for dinner ) along with candles and singing carolers that people like to collect. I bought something that I am excited about. A new Christmas tree! I am down sizing ( more like de-cluttering ha) & no loner want the big tree with all that entails. I found a tree that is advertised as a flat tree. This one is 3 ft. tall and has a back ( unlike the no back tree) & front both with shorter branches giving the illusion that it is a full tree.
