I come in and there was a 2 hour wait for a gel manicure.... with plenty of empty chairs and nobody waiting besides me and another lady, they should make sure they have enough workers. Specially on a Saturday afternoon. I am very disappointed because i looked them up and saw that this spot has a lot of great reviews, i was looking forward to it that is for sure. sadly the failure to accommodate sent me packing and i will probably never come back here. the nice thing was that the person who greeted me and told me that they had no availability, gave me a little gift bag and a 10% discount card for my next visit for the trouble of coming here and not being able to be seen, that gesture means the word because it shows that they do care for the customer and i am pretty sure that they would never be turning ppl away if they could do something else. ultimately for me though even with this amazing gesture i will not come back here, i am a busy gal and i love to be able to get to a place that can keep up with how busy life is now a days, in the digital era we can do much more stuff in much less time, and being able to multi task and figure out ways to move with the pace is important for all of us. as i said, i did appreciate their gesture and if you have the patience and the time, go take a look and check them out as i saw pretty amazing reviews. and whenever you go some time let me know how it went.

They steered me in the right direction! I was a bit leary of the 5 STAR review at first. It's very rare that a place with such amazing reviews actually lives up to it's high rating! I called in the morning and was delighted to be able to get an appointment for this afternoon! I went in for a regular pedi and a gel french tip mani with a design. Trisha was the lovely nail tech that provided my services. Wow! I don't say this very often but I was more than impressed with her work! She missed a lot of the steps through the pedi process, she didn't file my nails only cut them and VERY SHORT and uneven, she didn't file the bottom of my feet or use the purple rock thing that they use. This was the opposite of professional. The owner here is always kind and has done this exact service for me before with care and no issues, so I know this is not the norm. I was visiting a friend and asked her about hers. She said I have to get mine done, come with me. We arrived at Rio nails rather late with her 2 daughters in tow plus the baby. I asked for artificial nails and she sat me down and proceeded to work. There was a rather large gap between what she added and my cuticle. She claimed she could not go closer. I have had my nails done since the 80's. I have never had an issue like this. The woman had a huge attitude also. As I suspected, she deliberately shorted the nails so I would return sooner. In the many years I have had my nails done, I have had them last 6 weeks, usually 8 before a redo. My nails just do not grow. Here it is 3 weeks, and these are lifting. He did not clean off the polish on the skin, toes were missing polish on the sides and he even did not let it dry all the way. The lady came to put a design on my big toe and placed it under the UV light. I didn't realize the white coat did not dry until it moved at home. I came back the next day for them to fix or get my money back and They were not willing to fix the color and redo the design! After going back and forth with the woman she only offered me $10 and refusal of services. No problem! I'll leave this comment and hope others learn how unskilled the pedicure tech is.
