I really wanted to love this place since it is only a few minutes from my house, but after 4 days, the top coat was already peeling. I went in to do my nails with dip polish. It was a Saturday and there was only one person being worked on. I was attended to right away. The whole dip procedure was going well until the end when she used shellac top coat on my nails. I have seen some other salons do the same. I'm Not sure why they do it if the dip top coat works perfectly well. I left feeling good until the peeling started. At first it was only my thumbs, but eventually every nail topcoat peeled leaving them half glossy half matte. Everyone will say why didn't you go back. Well, it takes 20-30 min to fix nails and the last thing I have is time. Pros: They have a good amount of dip nail polish shades to choose from. Clean place Enough staff read more

I lost my nail tech 8 years ago. She moved to SF. Since then, I've never been able to find someone that will give me the same quality she did. I had a full set done at Ingram mall, the service was sub par and the nails aren't what I expected but I went on and knew I wouldn't be back. On a random Wednesday, after picking up my daughter K from school we were driving home I saw a nail shop from the street. I asked her if she'd like to go, she was reluctant but caved in because she knew I needed mine done. Walking in we were kindly greeted by a woman and a man. They offered us a drink and quickly seated us both. Lisa gave K a manicure. She went above and beyond what a regular manicure. Her gentle touch and caring demeanor really impressed her. At the same time, Richard began removing the set that I had. He was so gentle and asked after each removal if it hurt, each time it was painless. He then started with the electric file, again painless which normally some random tech would file too deep or catch my cuticle and I would bleed but not with Richard. He is amazing I looked over at K and said, "I guess we found our new nail salon" and she agreed! Lisa and Richard are amazing! I can't wait for my next visit! I'm definitely having Richard give me a design. He does amazing work, just ask him to show you his pictures. Thank you so very much Richard and Lisa! You can't move to Vegas because it might take me another 8 years to replace you and I can't have that! If you've read this far, go see Richard and Lisa, you WILL be impressed and will never go ANYWHERE else!! read more

Maybe easy to get into. However there is only one person that "can do" nails the other they will talk you into dip nails cause she cant even apply tips! we spent 2 hours in there for 2 sets of nails. The only thing good is I liked their assortment of colors read more

Wow! Walking into this place we were welcome by Trish warm and friendly smile. This spa is clean, bright and friendly. Also not do they only offer wine but also froze. Strawberry margaritas (winning)! Trish and her staff immediately waited on me, mom and sister in-law. Check her special on Groupon too. I was worried that I hadn't purchased Groupon but Trish was nice enough to match price on spot OMGEE! Everyone ask for Helen. She is the bomb.com. Husband and I got pedis there this afternoon. Wonderful! He has some foot issues, and his technician really took care of him and got his feet into very good shape. And my tech, Kimberly, was wonderful as well. I plan to go back after the holiday week to get a mani with serious nail art. Prices are good. Everyone is friendly. And yes, they serve wine and strawberry margaritas. There was a change in management last month, so any negative reviews prior to then should not reflect on this business. We have finally found our new nail shop. read more

The absolute worst place I've been. I went to get dip because my real nails were long... notice I used past tense. They destroyed my real nails and I have nubs. The guy kept leaving once to go to Walmart and the other time to get a package, when he was there he kept calling people. Don't waste your money read more

Everyone was friendly, lots of color choices my nails came out nice and toes would have too EXCEPT... while getting my pedicure the lady cut the edges of my nails and ripped out sides even though I had no pain or problems with them. It hurt immediately but I figured - she knows what she's doing. It started getting worse right away so I was putting neosporin and a bandaid around my big toe which totally defeated the purpose of getting the pedicure. Within 3 days I have an infection and am on antibiotics 3x a day for a week. If that doesn't work I will have to go get part of my nail taken off to drain it Also, after filing my toenails the lady hands the nail file over and it is used on the toes of the lady next to me. Shouldn't it be sanitized? So disappointed, and I hate to leave a bad review but I don't want this happening to someone else. read more

Update to review: so I went in today to get a full set, pedi, and eyebrows and had a terrible experience. Trish- the manager or whatever she is was complaining on the phone cursing and using foul Language to talk about PETER! One of her employees. This was highly unprofessional and really sad because Peter did an awesome job when I went in the first time. She on the other hand did a terrible nail and eyebrow job and the lady who did my pedicure asked me 3 times if I was sure I wanted to 50 dollar pedicure - almost like she doubted I could pay for it. On the phone she was talking about firing Peter who is the only competent person there to do nails. Hope he lets us all know where he goes. I will not be going back. They need some customer service training. Also- I told Peter about her talking on the phone about him in the wax room. I've attached pictures of the terrible job she did. This place is amazing! The people working here are so friendly and they do a fantastic job! I've been getting pedicures since I was 10 and this is by far the best pedicure I have ever had. Peter did an amazing job on my fill and my pedicure! I would highly recommend this place. I will make this my regular read more

I'm in love with this nail salon I walked in they offered me water and the girl in the front was super nice, she brought me a pamphlet and then showed me the specials of this week. I came to go get a pedicure here because my original nail salon is all the way across town and I came from school so the lady gave me a nice massage she took her time and actually did my nails. The color is perfect, the shape is perfect, she didn't cut my skin where I was bleeding. Everything about this trip was perfect and the price is super affordable I only pay $25 plus the tip for my nails I will for sure be coming back thank youuuuuu 1st time here and I already give it 5 stars. read more

I had a shellac manicure and a basic pedicure here a month ago. The shellac manicure was fine but the pedicure was a different story. They only have one person who does pedicures and it was horrible. I really wanted to pamper myself while visiting the bro and this place was just down the street. Apparently finding a nail place in the "Great Northwest" is hard and I called a few places that only had one nail person and were appointment only. Weird. This place was okay. The equipment was a bit worn down and I had to let my girl know that the water was seriously boiling and burning my feet. She did a good job on the toes but the left a few of my nails a bit crooked. For $40 I could have gotten a full spa mani pedi with a massage, sea salt rub, wax dip thingy and a flower on my toes back at home NOT crooked nails and an okay job. read more

Got a pedicure and a free bottle of water. They were all very nice and I even got free nail art! but the salon didn't look or seem clean. It also wasn't a great pedicure. No massage. she just slapped some lotion on my legs and I left smelling like old lady perfume. Sorry guys, I won't be coming back. read more

Honestly some of the worst nails I have ever had!!! I usually don't write bad petty review like this, but this place sucks!! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let me tell you it sucked just as much as the first time I came to this place. THE PICTURES DONT EVEN DO MY NAILS JUSTICE!! They are thick, uneven, and not work what I paid.. Not to mention I didn't see any of the nail techs licenses by their stations or anything like that.. I just had them done yesterday and they are the worst.. never going back to this place... read more

Oh Good Lord- this was anything but romantic. Danky facility without air conditioning greeted me as I hesitantly walked in. I should have ran out. There were box fans a blowin', and when I went to pick out my polish, I noticed that most of the polishes were cheap and old. The massage chair for the pedicure was broken (literally the remote had broken buttons on it) and it was not relaxing. Club music was thumping on the sh*tty sound system. The icing on the cake was my manicure. My nails ended up looking disgusting- polish uneven and gross. I waited for thirty minutes and it still wasn't dry. I took it off as soon as I got home. I wish I could get my money back, but in lieu of this, I will simply warn all of you to NOT GO HERE. read more

Price for a basic pedi is $23 w/ no tip. The place is clean but equipment is rundown. I sat in a massage chair that didn't massage (broken). The treatment itself was okay. Paint job and rub down I did like but it was lacking in the nail shaping (crooked) and dead skin scrub off (needed more attention). Not going back to the place. read more

My nails look amazing , I had Trish as my teach she did an awesome job the only thing I would say is she's not very talkative or very friendly she was always talking to a lady in other language even when I tried to make a conversation . The music was on point , my nails look great and I received the shape I wanted. In the end it looked a little messy once the polish and the acrylic came off it looked better. read more

Very friendly service! Two different people did my nails, Peter and Rita. Peter pinched my nails even though they are tips and not forms. I did not understand why as there is no difference in the shape of the nail. The only thing it did was cause pain. Some nails are crooked. And there is some layer and polish on my skin. Rita filed my nails after applying the polish. read more

It's been over a week and my nails are still intact they look great and I continue to have compliments daily on my nails! The price was great for the product. A big thing for me is the lifting/ chipping of the gel mani near my cuticles (that has yet to happen) and the tip of my nail (which again hasn't happened) this is so great! It's hard to find a place that you actually like and feel okay going to because you know they will take care of you! This is my go to place going forward! read more

I am fairly new to the San Antonio area and had tried several different nail salons for my regular mani-pedi's. After trying several other places and being let down, I asked ladies at my hair salon if they had any recommendations. One lady sent me towards Romance Nails, she said that nomatter who you get to service you they would do an immaculate job. That was about May of 2010 and I now am faithful to Romance Nails along with another friend who goes with me for our mani-pedi days. Christi is the owner and she is always happy and will always do what you ask of her (nail wise). She does fun designs, something I am finding out that not all nail places do. Their prices are average for the services and they will always be exceptional when it comes to returning your feet to smooth and touchable beautiful things. It is always a great experience, they treat you like family-it is literally the place where they know your name :) read more
