    Moussaka Soufflé
    Stephen L.

Great Greek restaurant which I think is in the sweet spot of being casual enough for a chill meal while also being nice enough for a date night. I ordered the Moussaka Soufflé ($22), which was quite tasty with ground lamb and eggplant. It was also not too heavy despite the béchamel sauce. It came with a tomato sauce that paired nicely with it. My main issue though was that the portion size was quite small for the price. That alone would almost definitely not be enough for dinner. The environment inside the restaurant is really lovely, with a clean space and Greek-themed decor. There is also a candle on each table and lively music playing. When I went on a Friday night, there were only a couple table occupied. The one and only waiter in there was a super nice guy and the service speed was decent. Overall, while I do think you can get some better Greek food around, this food is still pretty good and the environment and service give it a boost in my book.

I had the best time having dinner with my girlfriends. This Green restaurant was conveniently nearby the broadway show we were heading to after (6 min walk). It looked more elegant than we expected with a rustic beauty surrounded by warm lighting. The staff and waiter were extremely friendly and kind. Our water was never empty. The food was equally filling and delicious. I loved the eggplant dip and calamari. The portion size was just right for someone not looking for a heavy meal. Near the end they offered us complimentary almond cookies that had a subtle sweetness to it and crumble. It was a great end to the night.

Great food and great service! The people here were welcoming and helpful. It's a nice, clean space and wasn't very busy when I stopped in. The menu has many options. I ordered a Greek salad with falafel, which was excellent. Very fresh and high quality ingredients. The falafel was tasty and crisp. A perfect spot to grab a quick meal, especially if you're looking for fresh vegetables and other simple ingredients.

Jamie W and I have passed by this casual Midtown spot several times bouncing between our preferred hotel of choice and whatever Broadway show we were lucky enough to see. However, the timing never seemed to work out until we crossed town coming back from Pier 84 where the Circle Line boat docks. We were hungry after all that cruising and looked forward to some roast chickens. It wasn't too crowded, so we took two seats at the counter. We had a clear view of the whole chickens roasted and stacked in a pile (Photo 5). It's a Greek-style spot, and the bowls sounded like the most sensible choices to us. Jamie ordered the $17.95 Chicken & Cauliflower Bowl, which also contained rice, squash, lettuce, cranberries, onions, raisins, and edamame. Drizzled with yogurt sauce, it came with two sides of his choosing, dollops of hummus and eggplant dip (Photo 9). I went with the $17.95 Quinoa Chicken Bowl. They made explicit mention of grilled chicken and added quinoa, squash, lettuce, cranberries, red onion, and edamame. I chose the tahini sauce and went the same two sides (Photo 10). Everything was good except for one thing...the chicken was overcooked. It was disheartening because we could tell care was placed on the other ingredients. Perhaps we needed to come earlier in the afternoon. We're willing to give it another shot. FOOD - 3 stars...hamstrung by the dry chicken AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...casual with plenty of space SERVICE - 3.5 stars...attentive enough TOTAL - 3 stars...really wanted the chicken to be succulent RELATED - Hungry in NYC? Ordered the half chicken meal with lemon sauce. It came with a slice of pita bread. When I opened this dish the chicken, well I wouldn't even call it chicken. It looked more like a Cornish hen because it was SO small. The chicken was extremely dry and so much char. It was cutting into dry meat. And the fork I used was bend because the chicken was so dry. Would absolutely never order again. Portion is tiny, extremely charred and dried. Sadly would never recommend here.

Great idea, amazing service but overall the food was just ok for me, if you like Greek food I would not consider this to be authentic by any means ( I have been to Greece 3 times so I'm confident in that I know the flavor profile well). Honestly I wanted this to be really good. The service and the people were exceptional - helpful and kind and deliver to your table when it's not busy. Unfortunately I felt the meat/chicken was a tad too Salty. The bread was not fluffy, rather flat and probably not made in house like Omar's. I think if I were to compare, I even like cava better. They have opportunity to improve the taste - Working on less salt, more seasoning and maybe utilize a chargrill flavor or style that is similar to that outdoor bbq char i know and dream of from Greece - the islands - Paros, Mykonos Santorini - I remember how the grilled the octopus and seafood, and that is what is ideal Greek flavor. They lost the authenticity probably trying to cater to the local midtown worker crowd. I hope they work on it!

Food was very fresh and good quality. However the chicken was over cooked a bit and too seasoned. Not enough tzatziki and spicy hummus as well.

Butterflied Chicken is a fast casual Greek restaurant located in the middle of Midtown & is a convenient spot to go to pre- or post-Theater which is exactly what I had gone there for. I ordered the chicken bites with honey mustard. The portion was suffice for a light dinner, and it was made fresh to order. It was quite tasty and affordable as well. On top of that, the employees were really nice. I ended up ordering the feta truffle fries as well to share with my aunt. We both liked them as well. All in all, I would go back, especially if I wanted a quick bite before a show.

In the City for a broadway show. We had just come off the train, when it started raining, and being hungry, we ducked in here not expecting much. Boy, were we glad we came in here! There was no one in the place, but it is clean, well-lit, and spacious. The owner (or one of them) took our order and was just incredibly nice and considerate of the fact we were in a bit of a rush. We sat, waited a few minutes while they prepared our food. I ordered a chicken gyro and my wife ordered a quarter chicken with a salad. He brought us some sauces on the side to try. Everything - and I mean everything - was delicious. The chicken was plump, juicy, fully cooked. The salad was fresh and crunchy. The gyro was also amazingly tasty. If you are ever anyway near by, go in! You won't be disappointed.

Stopped for a quick late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I got the carved chicken pita and my mom got the falafel pita - the food was light and tasty, it did lack some type of garlic toum or similar but overall tasty and reasonably priced!

Fast service, fresh food - what more can you ask for?! I ordered the Chicken Kebab wrap, and it was 10/10. I could have used more tzatziki, but I am a big sauce girl. The chicken kebab was freshly made, and hot. The spices were awesome, and everything seemed to be made with love and care. I thought the fries were actually really good, and they had a nice seasoning on them. My husband liked his gyro wrap, but thought the meat was slightly dry. He is going to try the beef kebab next time. For the price point and freshness, this is likely going to be our best meal the whole trip!!

We've passed by here a few times and finally decided to pick up some food to go. For those who eat in, it's a small casual restaurant with a handful of tables. We ordered the chicken gyro platter and a chicken gyro pita. When we got home and opened the order, we realized we got a chicken kebab pita instead of the chicken gyro we ordered. A little disappointing because the kebab was fairly dry. The chicken gyro was good, but the platter was a lot of rice and fries.

We happened to stay on the same street as this restaurant and unfortunately, didn't stumble across it until lunch on our LAST DAY! However, I'm so glad we did. I love Greek food and live in a state where it's hard to find. We were trying to make a decision on what to get and a gentleman came in to pick up his lunch at the same time and said, "anything you pick will be delicious, I come here all the time!" We had the chicken gyro and fries, with baklava and it was sooooo freaking good! The baklava was some of the best I've ever had. The fries are addicting and the flavor of the chicken on the spit is something I'm still thinking about 2 weeks later! Our friend at the chicken tenders and those did not disappoint either. The restaurant was super cute, with a clean bathroom, and really friendly employees!

Busy for Monday evening. Felt like I stepped into Greece…read more I started with the complimentary bread, it was good. The crust was a little hard but I liked the fresh spread, I would recommend adding some olive oil, salt and pepper for more flavor. I got the traditional Greek salad. The salad was good. I love the tomatoes they tasted fresh. Though found myself wanting to add more salt and pepper for more flavor to pop. The dressing was good for dipping the bread in too. The octopus was delicious. Very fresh. Good portion. It was seared perfectly. I love how it was cut for me too, nice and tender. Not too chewy. The dill and capers were a nice touch. Seems the staff remember familiar faces, very friendly and all Greek. Altogether it was $64 which I find very pricey. The octopus was priced at $31 which wasn't bad. But the salad being $28 seems extreme. Overall a nice experience. Bit of a wait for the food

My husband and I shared 3 dishes, one as yummy as the other: grilled halloumi, grilled vegetables platter, and gigante beans in a lovely tomato dill sauce.
