I love fresh baked goods. You love baked goods too? I'm willing to bet that you don't love them as much as I do. I really love them. My waist line can attest to that. I'm obsessed. I Googled and found "Butter Cakery". We all agreed to sprint there since they closed in 15 minutes. We had no idea what to expect, then we opened the door. We were instantly transported to a corner of Paris in Natchez. The artwork, the marble, everything feels so Oui Paris. Come along. You're going with me!! The case of baked items had me drooling on the glass. The cupcakes were calling my name. Coconut. Belgian chocolate. Vanilla. All baked in paper cups and begging me to try them all. It was so hard to decide. I see a beautiful domed cake plate with the most gorgeous Belgian chocolate chip cookies. I must get one of those too. The macarons are stunning; like something in a magazine. I make my selections. She is boxing up my items in the cutest boxes and I'm giddy with excitement. I'm very proud of myself and at this point and happy with my Google find. I sat down and took one bite of that coconut cupcake. When I tell you that I floated off of my seat, I am not kidding. The crumb of the cupcake was perfection, that crème filling was heaven and the frosting was sheer delight. The balance of coconut flavor could not have been better! My aunt had a lemon cookie with creme cheese frosting and a lemon curd. So delicious! Lemon curd with the perfect tanginess (is that word? I just made it one!) and it didn't have any trace of egg taste. I tried the Belgian chocolate chip cookie and lavender cookie and got another cupcake to consume tonight and tomorrow. Everything was just that amazing. We can't wait to finish the rest later today and tomorrow morning. Listen folks, you are missing out if you don't try this place. Butter Cakery is a hidden gem but let's not keep it hidden. Everyone should enjoy this level of baking skills. Everything is baked there and you can tell with each bite. Expensive and just ok. Lemon cookie could have been more lemony. The caramel biscoff had too much icing and cookie was stale. Cookie had too much icing too. Girly place and the coffee is not a real espresso so boo on that. read more

Me and my wife were staying the weekend in Natchez from Wiggins ms and we took a chance on trying a new coffee shop bc we're very loyal to the one back home but I have got to say butter Cakery didn't disappoint. Cutiest bakery! They have giant cake pops (cake truffles). We got the coconut cupcake and the double doozy chocolate chip cookie sandwich. Everything was delicious. The cream in the cookie was not overly sweet to balance out the cookie. We just needed a glass of milk. They also sell vintage cake plates and tea sets. read more

Not a fan. The blueberry lemon cupcake was extremely dense and dry and the frosting tasted off. The chocolate cupcakes were better but considering the product, I feel they are grossly overpriced. If you're going to charge $5 for a cupcake, it needs to be better than decent and certainly not dense and dry. I hope this was just an off day but I doubt I go back. read more

This place should be on your list if you are going to be in downtown Natchez. She had fresh cupcakes and massive cookies for sale today. Mom and I got cupcakes and I can easily say that they were worth the $5 price tag. First off, I don't like butter cream frosting but this baker's icing melted in my mouth like a confectioners dream. The cupcake itself was fresh and not too dry - it hit that Goldilocks 'just right' spot for me. And then the coffee - I am not a connoisseur but the coffee proved more than good.
