FOUR times they came out and dumped chemicals in our pool and called it good to swim in when it most definitely was not. Chemicals we were willing to pay for since they were used in our pool. Not only was our pool still dirty, my husband had to help the technicians. We should be charging a $75 cleaning fee for that by their standards. During the time of service it was never communicated to us that the filters of our system needed to be cleaned. It was 4 months after service that we were told it had to do with our filters. NOTHING was told to us during the time of service. If we had been told that we would have done it. Our bill was over $500 for a still dirty pool with debris still in the bottom. With just cleaning fees alone $75 x 4 = $300 which is over half the bill. This is ABSURD. I told them I would pay for all the chemicals and for 1 of the $75 cleaning fees, but not 4 of them. The GENERAL MANAGER has poor customer service and fails to recognize when a customer is unhappy with the services performed. He got an attitude with me about the amount owed for the terrible work done. All aside this company and Don choose to lose a customer over $225 (3 cleaning fees of $75) instead of swallow his pride and help with a solution on how they can do better. Don threatened to take us to court... Don tried to tell me that they came out TWICE the first time to clean our pool yet the total for that service was $125...less than 2 cleaning fees of $75 This company doesn't care about the customer they care about being right and the money. 25% clarity from start to finish. Its taken over 10 months to complete my pool -- far beyond what was promised -- and throughout the process, communication was inconsistent, vague, and often nonexistent. I paid my final installment, trusting that the job was nearly done, but to this day I still haven't received the heat pump that was included in the contract. Despite repeated follow-ups, I've gotten no clear answers or resolution. At this point, I feel completely taken advantage of. Avoid this company at all costs. What should have been an exciting home upgrade turned into a frustrating and costly ordeal. Hire someone who stands by their word and respects their customers -- TLC Pools & Spa is not that company.

As of today, the pool remains incomplete and estimates to finish are 5-6 times what was left on the contract . In July 2025, their foreman informed us that the business was shutting down and our project would not be finished. We have since learned that many other customers (15) and subcontractors are in similar situations, with significant sums paid and work left unfinished. 10's of thousand of dollars were paid days before shutting down operations. One person paid $35k the day before he learned what was going on. Our experience from start to finish was extremely difficult -- communication was poor, timelines were not met, and the project was abandoned despite substantial payments made. We would encourage anyone considering working with this company to carefully review their current status and speak directly with recent customers before signing a contract. Matt and Denise have a long history (years) of fraudulent and deceptive practices . BEWARE!

Terry at Pool Perfect did all of that and more. He was great to work with, punctual, and very professional and knowledgeable. He was more than willing to answer any and all questions I had for him, always showed up when he said he would, and did the work he said he would do at a reasonable price. He is easy to contact, and called us back after the work was done to see how things were going. He also does pool renovations and stone work, and had some great ideas for things we could do with our pool area in that regard. I will definitely use Pool Perfect for anything pool or spa related in the future.
