Rick's Chop with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn.

First time here ever and it did not disappoint! All in our group had breakfast besides myself, in which I opted for the special for the day...Rick's Chop. Dear employees, owner, cooks, whomever is in charge.... Put that on the menu! It was amazing. Very large tender pork chop breaded and fried (not quite a tenderloin) served with white gravy. Honestly, may just be one of the best I've ever had. All of the others enjoyed their breakfast as well. We will for sure be back!

The dining area looks like it it would accommodate about 50 people (max) and the decor was retro with wood paneled walls and formica tabletops. Everything was clean and well kept. We were greeted by a waitress who was knowledgeable and hugely friendly. The menu was pretty expansive and the pricing seemed reasonable. We opted for traditional dinner fare, roast beef, mashed potatoes with brown gravy for me and she had turkey, mashed potatoes (no gravy). We both passed on the dressing that came with the meal and both chose rolls and a vegetable as our two sides. The cost for each meal was about $14. Add $3 for one soft drink (I had water) and the out the door cost was a touch over $33. About the food: Neither of us was impressed with the meal. After talking it over we decided that the best description of the meal was that it had been assembled VS. being cooked. My roast beef meal looked to have been slices of precooked meat, with instant potatoes, which was covered with factory made brown gravy. Her turkey meal looked like they were in fact real pieces turkey. The meat was small and looked like someone had chipped larger pieces up into bite sized chunks, with instant potatoes. Neither meal visually made you you go WOW! and the taste was forgettably bland. Overall, we were just unimpressed. Neither of us felt that the taste, quality or quantity justified the cost. I have fond memories of eating here with my mother and I was looking forward to rekindling those feelings and well....it didn't happen. Next time I'm passing by, I'll keep on going.

We couldn't have picked a better spot. We were seated immediately and notice the place was filled with mainly locals. Our server stopped by right away to take our drink order and ask us if we had any questions. She was so nice, so friendly, offered great recommendations and was fun to talk to. Mr. Bee ordered the Monte Cristo Wrap and I tried the house made veggie burger. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The Monte Cristo Wrap was really quite good and had a lot of nice flavors and was seasoned well. My veggie burger was different but delicious. It was also seasoned well and I managed to eat every last bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a side of Fried Mac and Cheese and it too was very different than what you would expect. The mac and cheese is not shaped into balls, battered and fried. They take their mac and cheese and smash it down on the grill to cook it. So good. It had lots of crispy bits on it. The food was fresh and really well cooked. The place is like an old fashioned diner and friendly service with a smile. The atmosphere was fun, and everyone seemed friendly and were enjoying their meals. We were full, but when our server came by and said we have fresh made pies, Mr. Bee jumped on that bandwagon. We got a piece of coconut cream pie to go. We stopped in the park in the middle of the square where there are a few benches and picnic tables. We enjoyed our pie, it was scrumptious while enjoying the beautiful sunny day.

It's a pretty casual place that's better than it looks. Can get crowded but things ran smoothly last time in. The food is basic diner stuff with a few better things. A popular place for the local residents to gather. It's one of the many local bars and restaurants around here. This seems to be one of the better ones. Has the main dining area. While waiting for an order go check out the back with the gaming area to play slots. It's $2.50 for domestic beers. That's good. It's about $7 for appetizers. The Pretzel Bites are the best of these. Fluffy and comes with a dipping sauce, choice of beer cheese or something else. The rest of the menu features classics like breakfast including eggs, omelets, and toast, and lunch has things like burgers, fish, and pasta. For sure it's a place for locals as well as tourists looking for classic diners and grills. It's got a lot of various memorabilia. They're closed Sundays.

This place 520 has become our family breakfast on Saturday mornings when we visit. The place is always busy. Sometimes we gotta wait on a table but they usually move pretty quick. On thus trip I talked to the owner as I was paying and told him how good everything was and how far we drove and had to drive home. Oscar is his name and is a great guy. As I was paying he fiddled with the register and as he gave me my change he slipped me a gift card. I was kinda taken back a little and we talked a little more then I went back to the table to finish our coffee to get ready to leave. I got to say the staff here is spot on. Never did we want for anything. The food was great and coffee was delicious. So we pack up the kids and go out to the cars to transfer bags and luggage when I turn around and here comes Oscar the owner. Evidently I dropped the card he had given me. He came right out and we talked a little more to the point I feel we made new friends with each other. I totally recommend eating here. You won't be disappointed. The coffee was good and the staff was friendly and attentive. The place feels welcoming and full of life with families laughing and staff greeting regulars. The space is clean with cozy country style decor and a laid back vibe. There are two entry points for lining up and plenty of parking. It is right next to a walking trail if you want a stroll after that delicious meal. Came for breakfast but the lunch and dinner menu looks worth coming back for.
