While it was during the day and we were partying our way down to the beach, it's always a good time on the Bustonian - party bus! Chris - our driver - is superb. He makes sure the whole bus is clean upon arrival and even does another wipe down while waiting for the party-goers to arrive. They have several buses and might I suggest that you try each one out. I really dig the leather seats and the pole. Music blaring down the street, you can't miss the bus. HORRENDOUS. My sister rented a party bus for her wedding, possibly the most important day of her life! She confirmed to make sure that they had air conditioning, since her big day was in mid-August. She told them this was very important. On Saturday, it was sweltering. The central air at my parents' house broke, so our only solace was getting on this bus to cool off. When the bus arrived, the driver said the AC was broken! SO UNACCEPTABLE. The groomsmen were picked up first, and they arrived to the church drenched in sweat on a very uncomfortable bus. When it came back to pick us up for round 2, the driver said the AC started working, but very minimally. It was absolutely disgusting on the bus, and the heat made us nauseous. RUINED my sister's wedding day. They also tried to cheat us as they told my sister it was a rate of $650 for the bus, but then the driver said she owed them $200 more... ridiculous. read more

Was planning a bachelorette for one of my best friends in Boston, we had a group of 18 girls and needed to figure out a way to get around, the Bustonian it was! It was just this past weekend and I cannot say enough great things about it. The bus showed up and was in new condition (which I was a bit nervous about, you never know with some of these companies). We opted for the pink bus, it fit our group and the occasion perfectly. Has an ipod dock and great sound system. Cooler to fit all your adult beverages and a dance floor. Our driver was Don, he was both professional and helpful. You can pick spots on and off their recommended list, each driver has connections to door managers and promoters to help get in. As one spot we wanted to go to was way to packed, Don routed us to another place. Each time we were ready to leave, I would just text Don and he would be pulled up within about two minutes. The best part about the bus is that you skip all lines and have cover charges already covered (included in bus fee). You truly feel VIP traveling this way! The Bustonian is one of the best ways to party when you're going out on the town. If you go to the website (which they just re-launched and looks great) you'll notice that they will help you go to a plethora of Boston venues. This is an awesome perk but you almost don't need to get off the bus. The party is always on the bus. You could take the Bustonian and drive around for the night and still have an excellent time! We had so much fun, being on the bus was better than hittin up the bars. We left a friend at south station (blame it on the alcohol) and we were already half way home by the time we noticed, but the bus driver turned around no problem! Found this company from a google search for a bachelorette party in Boston. Let me tell you what a gem it was! We reserved the Miss Bustonian and it was fabulous! It had an amazing sound system, with ipod connection, a cooler for drinks (you need to supply ice), and a dance floor! Pretty cool lighting system too. We had 20 girls and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The bus ride was more fun then the bars we visited ha ha! We had Don as our driver and he was fantastic. He called the morning of and finalized the itineray. Showed up right on time, and was light and funny with our crew. He was very responsive when we texted to come take us to the next location. My good friend and roommate is joining the Marines so we needed to throw him a going away bash. Yesterday we got a group together for a bus around the city. Tommy, our driver was fantastic. We had 32 friends on their 80's theme party bus for my best friends 30th birthday...it was a total hit and a huge surprise to the birthday boy. If you are planning a party, i have to say this IS the way to go...the bus driver was fantastic, the bus was all 80's theme, complete with a dance floor, a stripper pole, AND coolers to keep our beers in!!!! They set us up at 4 different bars...no line, no cover...I've thrown quite a few killer parties, and this was definitely the most epic night. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF DOING A PARTY BUS, GO WITH THE BUSTONIAN I used the Bustonian for a birthday party with 30 friends and we could not have been more happy with our experience. Before the event the owner was very great about communicating via phone and email to set up the event. He was very reasonable about pricing and was able to give us a good deal. On the day of the event, the driver called me several hours before to verify our pickup time and location and itinerary. The driver was on time, and very professional. He was flexible and was able to deal with our indecisive friends and itinerary and had no problems with us changing plans on the spot. He had no trouble getting to any place we wanted to go. The bus itself was fantastic. We went with the Mr. Bustonian, and it was It clean, great quality sound and lights, and really top notch. The driver laid out his basic ground rules (don't stick anything out the window, don't puke) but encouraged us to party, and we certainly did. The next morning, the owner called me, drove to my apartment, and dropped off all the extra alcohol and jackets and stuff that were left behind on the bus from the night before. I thought this was an amazingly professional extra gesture and only put a great final cap to an already fantastic experience. Multiple friends told me that it was the 'BEST NIGHT EVER!!", and honestly, I definitely agree. Go with Bustonian! read more

I was researching party buses for an 80's themed Bachelorette party I was planning and after calling around to multiple places I found the people at the Bustonian to be the most responsive and helpful with great prices for what they offer. They were upfront with prices and no surprise fees. If I had any questions about restrictions (which there aren't many), bars, bus amenities, etc. I could call Angela and she would answer all my questions. We got the New Bustonian for a group of 13 girls to drive us around the city for the night. The bus came right on time, and our drive Tommy was amazing! I suggest getting ahold of the driver before the day of the event because it can be stressful trying to plan out the night while preparing a party! Tommy gave us the best recommendations for the night that accommodated our crazy 80's attire perfectly. Even when one of the bars fell through he was quick to respond and find us something else that would work - even though the party on the bus was the best party of the night! We decorated and had the coolers packed - 80's music blasting there was really no need to get off the bus! My friends and I rented one of these for a dance. For the bus driver I would give him 5 stars! He was incredible! Extremely kind, thoughtful and had everything planned out to the T. The reason my review is so low is because of the company. They charged our cards when we paid cash and then kept "forgetting" to return the money that was until my bank got involved. I would be very careful if you use them and triple check your bank account after/ before the event. read more

The bus driver picked us up right on time ... actually arrived earlier than we asked but was really cool about waiting for us to get everyone ready to go. Two of the times we did pub crawls. Everyone could not wait to get back on the bus. The bus was MUCH better than the bars! And believe it or not there is a strippers pole straight in the middle of the bus! Just used the Bustonian to host my best friend's bachelorette party this weekend. I can't say enough good things about them. Matt was very professional throughout the whole process. I booked this date back in the Fall and heard back from him 3 days before the event. The morning of our event, I received a phone call from our driver, Rob, and he confirmed for me that he would pick us up at 6:30. He arrived right on time and allowed us to bring some decorations onto the bus and also gave us the heads up to get ice since there were coolers available on there. The bus was also VERY CLEAN! He drove us around for a little bit and dropped us off for dinner. I told him I would let him know when we got the check and by the time we got outside, he was right out front to pick us up. He then asked us where we wanted to go and we told him the areas we were interested in. Within a few minutes he made the phone calls and we got right in to the bars. I'm not sure why there are some people on here who are upset that they couldn't get into specific bars when the website clearly states that they can't guarantee certain bars for you. I am so disappointed, I've been trying to rent the 80's bus for my birthday since last year, this year i finally got it, and today (Monday) just a few days before the event (Saturday), the guy texted me to tell me he was gonna give me the original, not the 80's because he had an "issue" with the 80's bus, if u look at the busses there's no comparison, the original is like the grandma bus, old, not good light, nothing. Plus when we were on the phone he asked me what time did I want the bus and i said 9-2 or 10-3 since i asked until what time the bus is available, at the end i ended up asking him for a deal for the original since I already have everything for the bus, and all of my friends requested the day off at work, and now he is trying to make me pay for 6 hours and he is giving me the 7th hour "for free". It's a lot of time on a bus, i ask for the 6th hour for free instead of the 7th and he never text me back. Not cool. Thank you for ruining my birthday jackass. read more

Rented the Miss Bustonian for my sisters bachelorette a few weeks ago. Cute and fun bus, but the bus was having a malfunction with the music. The main aspect of the party bus is being able to stand up and dance. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the speaker system on the bus that was causing the music cut out constantly and progressively kept getting worse and worse as the night went on. We spent most of our night on the bus because I had surprised the girls with Dancers coming on the bus. So, as you can imagine, music cutting out while the guys were trying to do their show was a major downfall on the night. On a positive note, Our driver Jimmy was awesome! He did everything he could to try to make it better and got us into a bar after with no cover or waiting in line! If this review was based just on Jimmy he would get 5 stars! The booking process was good. They were tentative and helpful with ideas for the night. Although I was told over the phone that we would be able to get into a specific bar no problem, but come to find out later that wasn't true. Booked the hot pink MISS BUSTONIAN bus a few weeks back for a bachelorette party. It was a little hard staying in touch with the manager to nail down the details at first, but he did call and apologize about the late reply and was very accommodating. Shortly before the Bachelorette Party, the bus drive, TOMMY, called. He was very friendly and offered some great advice on clubs and bars to visit. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. He offered to upgrade our ride from the hot pink 20 passenger bus to the largest of their fleet, the 32 passenger ORCA! Although or bride's heart was set on the hot pink, we talked her into the big bus and are SO glad we did. We ended up having a lot of room for dancing and walking around. Tommy was able to get us past all lines and helped us avoid all covers. The only bummer was the bathroom on the bus was winterized :( Although, this isn't the company's fault. we were not made aware until we actually boarded the bus, I wish we knew earlier to have a bathroom plan, but it all worked out. The bus picked up our friends at my friends' home and then picked us up at our place...worked out so well. Our driver, John, was great, fun and on time. We planned on having a GREAT night for my brother's 21st birthday. We made arrangements with this company and payed the required deposit. They were supposed to pick us up by 9:00 pm at our home. 10:00 pm came and no sign of a bus. We tried calling the number available to us but I'm assuming that it was the company's main number and it was obviously closed by 10:00pm on a Friday night. Luckily we found another number and were able to talk to an actual person. Unfortunately he had no idea what was going on and all he kept saying was that we had cancelled on them 2 days ago! REALLY we cancelled and you still haven't returned the paid deposit!? It was unorganized and a lot of "he said she said" crap. We were so disappointed! We had to make last minute plans with our 15+ guest. I'm sure that it could have been a lot of fun if the bus actually showed up. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT! read more

He actually showed up with the larger version of the bus to give us additional room since it was available that evening for the price of the smaller one. A couple years back, a group of us started an annual Halloween Bar Crawl from Boston to Salem, MA. This year was at least the third in a row that Bustionian has provided the transportation, and there excellence service has become a staple of this event. Next year, there is no question that we will continue using Bustionian The first contact I spoke with was Matt. Not only was he friendly and easy to work with, but he recognized our repeat business. He showed appreciation for our customer loyalty by upgrading us for free to the 80s themed bus! Matt was always in touch via email, and even called me day of to check in. Brian our driver showed up on time and with a great attitude. A recent graduate from Endicott, Brian was easy going, yet responsible. He even spoke with law enforcement upon our arrival to learn any local restrictions or policies in Salem. Finding parking is always difficult on Halloween in Salem and residential streets are usually the only ones open. Although Salem was unfamiliar to him, Brian found a clear downtown drop off location where he promptly met us at the end of the night. While Salem closes at 12pm, the party continues on the Bus. In fact, most attendants I spoke enjoyed the 40 mins of dancing on the Bus over any of the experiences Salem had to offer. Looking forward to next year w/ Bustonian! read more
